Hello everyone. These puppies are on the Monday euthanasia list. If you are looking for a puppy to adopt, please consider adopting. The Stanislaus County shelter is open tomorrow, Saturday, and will have an adoption event Sunday 7/26/2026. They need adopters and fosters. Thank you! 😊

Should I get another card for my trip to Europe?

Sorry this is long, I ramble. Basically need help on if I should get another card, and which would be best.

Hi 👋 I’m taking a trip to Europe with my son next week and have been debating applying for another cc. I got the AE platinum in march mainly because of the points and I planned on traveling more, so I thought the lounge access would be good. But I am not going to renew it because I don’t have a use for most of what they offer as a way to recover the AF.
I also have a Costco CC and Amazon card. The AE is the only recent one opened. I wanted to start working with points and avoiding the cash back.
So I have been stuck deciding to pay another high AF to get the points on CSR before the 150k points go away, since it’s the only one that still lets guests in longes free, except for the venture x business which seems to still allow it even though it took it away from the personal cards.
Or do I go the Wells Fargo route? There’s so many choices it starts to get a bit overwhelming. My credit score is in the 800s and only 1 card opened in over 3 years so I think my approval rating for most cards is likely.

Are major hub is SFO, but we are close to SJC, SMF,OAK and FAT as airports we look at for flights.

Those of you wise and educated, credit card knowledgeable souls please gift me with some advice.

First, let me start by saying I have rarely posted on Reddit, so if I somehow do this incorrectly, I apologize. I’ll assume that the mods will remove it.
I have been looking for an additional credit card, and reading all of the opinions and recommendations online and from the subs. I have not seen this one mentioned so I was going to put up what it provides then get a few opinions from those who are more knowledgeable than myself.
