Should I buy monolith 7100x amp with my setup?

I have a Onkyo rz30 with. 5.1.4. Speakers are r5 metas, r6 meta, q1 surrounds, and 4x rsl cg4m in ceiling, with a rsl 12s sub.

I’m wondering if I should get the monolith 7100x amp since it’s 50% off at $325.

I don’t think it’s an absolute must as I think my avr can get loud enough with no problems.. but wondering if there’s some benefit still? Maybe it’d give cleaner sound idk?

It’d provide more watts to my front stage for sure, although as I understand since crossovers are set with Dirac live base management, that also reduces the amount of power the speakers need as I understand it?

*again I’m asking the question now since it’s a good deal, or if buying an amp, should I wait and get one that can deliverer a full 200 watts to the r5s?

I need to rerun Dirac live. Not happy with first results. Any tips?

I have room treatment, rsl 12s sub, r5 metas, r6 meta center, q1 surrounds and RSL CG3M height speakers. AVR is an Onkyo rz30 using an nvidia shield with remux rips.

Just watched the new fantastic four and while it was good, I felt like dialog was slightly hard to hear sometimes and the R6 meta should be the strength of my system.

After running Dirac live (with laptop and Umik 1), I raised the sub a little on the sub itself because it lost too much bass.

Guess I need tips on the best way to raise center levels and height levels after Dirac live if I find them slightly lacking? Do I need to do it in Dirac or can I go to avr and adjust channel levels a couple dbs in there? I saw a disagreement on if changing channel levels works or not if the calibration is still active so need clarification if possible please.

Thank you guys, been a lot of help through this entire process!

5.1.4 Home Theater - No Bass on Windows 11 PC gaming?

I am getting atmos but my bass is completely gone with an RSL 12s sub when gaming on Windows 11. When watching movies on the sheild, I got enough bass to make everything fall off the wall.. Any suggestions?

Do I need ceiling acoustic panels or see how it sounds first?

I have a 12x11 room with a normal height ceiling. Got brand new equipment with r5 metas and r6 meta.

I have built 9x 15x48 panels using 3 inch Rockwool with 1 inch gap. (Would have done thicker but room is getting smaller and smaller). They will go on wide walls and back walls. I also have a rug basically on the entire floor.

Will it be okay not doing the ceiling or do I need to go the extra mile for it? Technically renting so it can’t be a permanent solution.

About to be all set up and now learning to calibrate using Dirac live.. just unsure if I should do ceiling first or not.

Question about Acoustic Panels

I understand my first reflection points with my front speakers. Should I use one 2x4 panel for best performance? Or can I use two 15 inch x 4 feet panels for a semi staggered look? Will the tiny gap of wall between the two panels be okay?

Lg C4 webos25 for Dolby Vision and TrueHD Atmos?

I just finished making a 5.1.4 set up. I want to be able to play my remux files and my plan was to use my Apple TV with infuse. After learning it can’t do Truehd atmos I had to change plans.

My next plan was to use my barely used laptop that has an ultra 7 2## series processor hooked directly to tv. Now see that Dolby vision is an issue.

My newest plan is to use plex on my lg c4 tv that has webos25. I know it may not give me the best Dolby vision 7 profile, but can it still do Dolby vision and give me full audio pass through for true hd atmos?

I want to avoid buying a shield pro or a ugoos that takes more tinkering

Thank you!

Are subs too big for the room?

My plan was to add a second sub on the other side to give everything a pleasant symmetrical look 😅. I already had this sub, so that’s why I’d get a second one. I can’t put the subs anywhere else. Once I put the couch in here I need room to move haha. (10x11 room).

The floor speakers are next to a 75 inch C5. They are about 75 inches apart. Is this spread enough or do I need smaller subs, and to put the floor speakers on the outside?

I can get 2 pairs of Q1 metas for about 350 total. I’d like to use these for my atmos speakers if possible and point them at my listening position. Question is, there’s not exactly a mounting hole as far as I know. How would I mount these properly? If possible could I please get a link? Thanks so much!
