Does anyone have any idea how this ponytail was done?

Does anyone have any idea how this ponytail was done?

I really want to recreate something like this. I’ve been testing out a bunch of methods to create ponytails in blender using geometry nodes to try and get close to what I want but so far I haven’t really been satisfied with the results, especially because I need it to be animated, probably via proxy mesh.

Th creator said that they’d be making a tutorial some time but that was a while ago and I don’t want to bug them, especially because they seem busy. I’ll add pictures to the comments of my attempts so far once I’m at my computer.

Frankly I’m still a huge geonodes noob so if anyone has any recommendations on vidoes/guides/projects that help understand the basics/fundamentals I’d really appreciate it

Mod that lets you remove snow via heat/some sort of heat gun?

I have a personal modpack that’s built around surviving in super cold conditions. I was wondering if there was some sort of mod that would add in a way of removing snow. I’d like there to be a way to create liveablr sections or something without needing five billion shroomlights

They’re getting bigger every day!!

I lost count of the weeks but I think it’s probably around or just under week three now! They’ve come so far, from six only two survived. They started out looking like sperm with eyes and now they actually look like fish, it’s crazy watching these little dudes develop.

I went a little crazy with food variation, so I started out with frozen brine shrimp and first bites which I used a mortar and pestle to make even smaller because I was worried they were too large.
I then experimented with micro worms, which was short lived because the package ended up bursting in the mail, so all the worms escaped to the second plastic bag, which was also breached. I fed them the escaped worms and tried to keep the culture alive but honestly it smells so otherworldly I think I’m going to throw it out. It’s like if a sour dough starter could get a yeast infection.
I then started feeding decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. Now I feed a mix of first bites, frozen brine shrimp, and decapsulated eggs. Thinking about trying golden pearls next, feeling adventurous… the name makes me kind of hungry too.

I also found a young corydoras in my tank Which means that one survived to adulthood which is insane because all my fish are fat monsters and one literally senses food via weak electricity. Very lucky little dude. He’s big enough that he’s not in any danger but he’s clearly a young cory

[TOMT] The name of an author who wrote an autobiographical book about him and his boyfriend moving into a NYC apartment and meeting an incredibly unpleasant woman

I don’t know the name of the author or the book, but I know that he narrates his own books, I only listened to the first few minutes of it. I think the woman’s name was Susan, she was very strange. First part of the book is the guy talking about rats eating trash and then getting hit by cars

Is the fuzzy biofilm on this stick okay for my baby corydoras?

Found this weird fuzz growing on a stick in my baby Cory box. I know it should probably be totally fine if not beneficial but I just wanted to make sure

Two week old panda corydoras. Really hoping they make it!!

The two survivors out of six! They’re growing fast and I really hope they make it. I’ve been feeding them frozen brine shrimp, live micro worms, hikari first bites, and they finally just got their first taste of some powdered adult food mixed in with first bites.

Watching their color/pattens develop is such a cool experience. They went from looking like sperm with eyes to actually kinda looking like fish. I understand that they might not make it but I really hope they do. Nothing would make me prouder than being able to say that I raised some baby fish, especially since my first attempt resulted in no survivors, and the second ended up in what I can only describe as quasimoto fish.

Two out of six Cory fry have died, should I move the remaining fry to smaller box within their tank to monitor them?

They’re roughly a 7 days old, found two dead yesterday. I’ve been cleaning regularly and feeding them. I know that corydoras fry fatality is normal but I’m worried that maybe I’m not cleaning the bottom of the tank well enough? There’s a bunch of cattapa leaves they hide under.

Water readings look good but nitrites were just slightly higher than I’d like so I did another water change. I was wondering if I should gather up my remaining fry and keep them in a box within their tank so I can better clean, feed, and monitor them

Geometry nodes and motion blur?

Does anyone know if there are any ways to use geometry nodes without motion blur causing flickering?

I’ve been getting really into different geometry node uses like the hair system and I want to try more stuff, but the flickering that happens when I use motion blur in animation is extremely distracting.

From what I’ve heard it has something to do with IDs, but I’m still fairly new to geometry nodes so I’m not really sure.

How do I keep my cory fry alive?

I hatched some panda cory eggs in a separate 3 gallon tank. I reallyyy want these guys to survive, i've hatched eggs successfully before but the fry all seemed to die.

Last time I used small amounts of Methelyne blue in the water to prevent fungus. A few of the babies seemed to have birth defects but im not sure if this was due to anything I did or just genetics. This time I used tannins rather than methylene blue to see if that helps. If they have birth defects again I'm going to stop hatching the eggs because I feel like that indicates an issue with my adult corydoras' genetics.

They have a heater, plants, and a bubbler currently. I'm doing water changes manually. Does anyone have any more tips? I really want these little guys to live!!
