Someone sell me on Warriors of Chaos

So I play a lot of Slaanesh (I go back to Dechalla and the Masque very frequently) and I finished my first Skulltaker campaign. So I decided to try Valkia since I was enjoying Khorne but didn’t want to play Skarbrand and I refuse to play Arbaal on principle (Katarin is one of my favorite campaigns and Arbaal is perpetually a pain in the ass so I refuse to give that man any victories by choice).

I booted it up, played 30 turns, and was very unimpressed even though the mechanics could be cool. I know a lot of people really enjoy them so basically name your favorite campaign and tell me why you enjoy them

Went through the top posts of all time here and it just makes me sad

It kinda just made me sad to see posts from ten plus years ago. Not the new stuff since that’s beyond par for the course, but like how positive and awesome Boogie’s stuff used to be. Yeah, I know it was a grift, you do not need to mention that, but I miss when it was a chill gaming place while we wanted the best for Boogie. Now every time I see him, it just makes me sadder that someone who used to be this well regard is now this reviled. I basically mourn the community and person that he used to be versus what we have now. A lot of his videos got me through some tough times but they just all collectively feel tainted now. IDK, it just kinda sucks that this is where he and we are at with him.

Why does this franchise hate jackets?

It seems like they give everyone the coolest jackets, but then they lose them before the third chapter or first act is over. It almost seems more efficient to just not wear them since every character loses theirs so frequently.

I guess the exception is Ethan? He seemed to keep his jacket through two games but I’m convinced that was to throw us off the trail of their weird jacket hate.

Which campaigns do you keep coming back to over and over again? I’m

Which lords and campaigns do you constantly come back to replay? I was going to do a top five but I couldn’t fully decide.

Dechala: Even though I wish she was more daemon focused there is legit nothing more fun for me than having her teleport around the world sacking, raiding, razing, and then teleporting elsewhere when the heat is getting too much. All while her armies back home slowly take over Cathay with the funds she brings in.

Karl Franz: Okay, there’s a reason everyone plays him. He’s fun to slay other LL with and I really love slowly confederating the Empire to hold against the never ending times. Plus I can slay Nurgle factions as payback for the End Times.

Morathi: I love Slaanesh so getting shades and daemonettes together is amazing. Plus I love destroying armies with her spell casting and I do enjoy her starting area since you have to play aggressively yet cautiously.

Elspeth: I like watching things go boom and gunlines. She does both very very well. Plus she has fun mechanics and fighting vampires is really fun with her. Do slightly wish death magic was a little better.

Eltharion: Okay, love his prison mechanic, his Mistwalkers, the divided campaign, it’s all fantastic. I really like playing High Elves and he is one of three lords I’ve painted the map with. He’s a fantastic lord with good spells, good magic items, and good dueling. Overall just a super fun campaign.

Katarin: She was the first campaign I played in three, and I lost super bad. Then I tried several times and lost several times there trying to learn the game. When it clicked it was rather rewarding and then I finally could hold back the tides of chaos, chaos dwarves, and Orks that plagued their lands.

Malakai: Alright I love dwarves, I’ve painted the map twice with them. Once with Grombrindal and the other with this lad. I love his artillery focus, his adventures, getting Gotrex, Felix, and Ulrika. He’s a super fun campaign that makes the dwarves even more fun to play than they already are.
