Polestar 1 successors?

I was thinking about which Polestar cars is the possible successors to Polestar 1 since Polestar 1 was a PHEV 2 door sport coupe with carbon fiber unibody & it's meant to be a rival to many other cars from other manufacturers like BMW or Mercedes Benz, the styling it's feel like american muscle cars btw & it's purpose is only for performance & the purest experience (fit with Polestar's "Pure, Progressive, Performance" philosophy).

So what cars do you think is the possible successors to Polestar 1? Please comment to let me know!

Look what I found in the web! The Samsung Miniket VM-M2100/VM-M2200 (exclusive in Korea & made for Korean market only)

This thing was a upgrade version of the original Miniket (VP-M105) made exclusively for Korean market with bigger optics, higher resolution sensor than the OG Miniket (2.11 Megapixels instead of 800,000-pixel on the VP-M105), the camcorder itself can record video in DVD quality (which is 480i in MPEG-2 codec). This thing has a neat feature that everyone didn't know, you can use this camcorder to record footage from other devices/sources like VCR or even your tape-based camcorders (to make it tapeless) through AV port in the front of the camcorder.

The reason why Samsung release this product is the competition with other manufacturers in that time like Sanyo or even some unknown brands like Aiptek or DXG. (Samsung was basically make a product that basiclly much better than Sanyo Xacti on that time!).

The form factor is actually being inspired by \"veritcal standing mini DV camcorders\" from the late 90s to 2000s (but Samsung want to make this thing as sleek as possible so they remove the viewfinder to make it more compact)

Even though this thing is not made by Sony, it's still have Memory stick! (You can also use SD card or MMC btw)

When compare this with camcorders made by Aiptek or DXG or Sanyo (Xacti), it's feel like the built quality is much better & the lens is truly better!

This thing also very compact & light so if you want a tapeless camcorder that actually good, compact & easy to use please choose this thing & comments about your thoughts on this camcorder!

Thank you!

I made a playlist about Panasonic mini DV camcorder for everyone with those camcorders which need the guide to use the camcorders/fixing the camcorders.

I made it for everyone who own a late 90s to 2000s Panasonic mini DV camcorders to help them find the way to use it (including newbies) & fixing some errors in their Panasonic mini DV camcorders.

Now, I made this playlist in collaboration mode so you can join with me (everyone in the whole subreddit) to collaboration & add more videos related for Panasonic mini DV camcorder users to help them use their camcorder perfectly!

Thank you!

Found this insane & rare camcorder on the internet! (Samsung SV-D300: the only Samsung camcorder with 3CCD pickup).

When I was surf the web, I accidentally find this super rare Samsung SV-D300 mini DV camcorder (also one of Samsung's first mini DV camcorder ever in the world, alongside the SV-D100 (which can be seen in Samsung Innovation Museum) which is so rare, it's only available in Korea btw). The price for that camcorder I found online is 65,000 KRW (45,83$), which is somehow super cheap.

I think this camcorder was originally made for 1 purpose: Samsung's response to Sony VX1000!

Please share your thoughts if you can (also share the original manual for this pls!)

Your computer if you was younger in 2000s: Smasnug Magiq Stansion.

DankPods (in 2000s): Hey Mom & Dad, I want this freaking cool computer!

Mom & Dad: No, that too expensive, you are wasting so much money on a useless products (our family already have a computer, so you are spending money in a wrong way).

DankPods: begging to buy it.

Mom & Dad:

"refuses asap"

Did you remember the fact that JVC (Victor) made the world 1st HDV camcorder (which most people didn't know)

The HDV format was originally developed by JVC and then supported by Sony, Canon & Sharp. During the development of this format, JVC introduce the HD10U in 2004 (I think the Japanese version of this thing: the GR-HD1 & the Korean version: the GR-HD1KR) which release in late 2003) - which considered as the first HDV camcorder ever made (even though the camcorder didn't have a HDV logo or HDMI (the camcorder itself using Component or FireWire (IEEE 1394) to output 720p)) rather than later models made for consumers by Sony & Canon, which did including a HDMI port & 1080i video recording.

Although the HD10U/GR-HD1 is the 1st gen HDV camcorder, the video quality is still impressive even in today's standard btw.

Thank you!

I found this rare Panasonic NV-MX2500 3CCD DIGICAM commercial on the internet, shall we recreate this commercial in 2026 with the same camcorder in this ad?

This commercial it's definitely fit with the r/camcorders philosophy & vibes, did anyone had a NV-MX2500? Please join forces together to recreate this old ad? (Also this thing is absolutely good way to promote r/camcorders in Reddit & strengthen the whole camcorder community worldwide!)

Found this rare pink & white Panasonic mini DV tape in my house (extract it successfully from a broken Sony Mini DV Handycam)

This thing is so rare, I think it's exclusively made for Japanese market or something else?

And the color combination somehow reminds me about Oshi No Ko or Steven Universe!! (I will keep this tape btw to preserve it).

Camcorders with the design that feel more like Digicam:

In the camcorder history, there was a lot of camcorder models that have the design like a picture camera or digital still camera.

The most noticeable models is probably the Canon CV11 (which also known as ZR in US or MV100 in Europe) & Canon Optura/MV1.

(I forgot to talk about Sony Handycam SC5 series (SC5, SC7,...) & the RCA FunFlix (made by JVC)).

In fact: the Canon CV11 is the 1st camera in the history that uses folded type lens (or periscope style lens) to make the camcorder as slim as possible + still maintain optical zoom lens (11x) (Minolta bring that technology to digital camera in the 2000s with the Dimage X).

What do you think?

Canon iVIS DC300/DC310/DC311 issues with AV output

I need to find a perfect 3.5 mm AV cable for this Canon camcorder I bought last Sunday, the camcorder itself it's working fine, but the problem is the AV out port it's a little bit to find & only 1 type of 3.5 mm to RCA AV cable that work well with this camcorder (since the pinout for 3.5 mm AV jack (TRRS) is different because of device & usage (the ground can be in the ground (S) or in the 3rd ring).

Help me pls (i didn't have the original cable).
