Parking for the 158 Bus on River Road - Weekend Options?

Hi Cliffside/Bergen neighbors! For those who take the 158 into NYC on weekends since the R buses don’t run, where do you usually park along River Road?

I’m looking for a reasonably priced option that allows 5–6 hours of parking, rather than the usual 2-hour street parking.

We try to avoid driving into the city and paying the toll + congestion surcharge + parking just to get into Manhattan. Would love to hear your go-to parking spots and the weekend rates, if you know them.

Thanks!

Realistic changes for DDS lateral Entry in Canada (score 580)?

Hi All, Looking for honest feedback on my lateral entry profile for Canadian dental schools. Been a stressful journey. Also if anyone is comfortable sharing their 2026 ADAT score data & experience.

My Profile:

ADAT: 580

GPA: 3.8/4.0 (BDS + MDS from India)

Experience: 3-4 years (international) dentist in Middle East

Status: Canadian PR

Volunteering: Local Experience (Red Cross)

Questions:

  • Is my profile competitive for lateral entry? Is it worth giving Bench test with this score?
  • Are you aware of avg/median ADAT scores for admitted candidates from last cycle?
  • Which schools would you recommend best for lateral entry with my score & profile?
  • How much do schools value international dental experience, if they do?

How are you organizing documents for your interview?

Hello!

Preparing for our upcoming interview and assembling our document binder (everything submitted with the original I-130 plus all latest/updated evidence). I want to keep things clean and efficient, but I have Three specific questions:

  1. Trimming multi-page documents (Bank statements / Phone bills): Pages 1 and 2 usually have the main summary and joint info, while the rest are detailed logs or legal disclaimers. Is it fine to omit these extra pages to save paper and officer time, or will missing page numbers (e.g., skipping page 3) trigger an issue?
  2. Carrying photo evidence: How are you bringing photo evidence to the interview? Standard 4x6 prints (from CVS/Walgreens), or PDF/Word printouts with dates, locations, and descriptions (like the ones uploaded during initial filing)?
  3. Uploading Documents prior to Interview : Prior to interview I see a lot of folks have uploaded the latest documents. How sooner or closer to the interview have you done that?

Appreciate any guidance or tips on what worked best for your interview!

thanks in advance.

Swapped from Consular to AOS; & interview scheduled! Does USCIS approve your standalone I-130 at the same time?

Looking to hear from anyone who originally marked Consular Processing on their standalone I-130, but later filed an I-485 (AOS) from inside the US.

When my attorney originally submitted our standalone I-130, we marked Consular Processing(seems like a standard safety procedure followed by Attorneys for H1B applicants). Since I was already in the US, we ended up filing the I-485 for AOS later on. We just got our interview scheduled, but I’m a bit anxious about how the pending I-130 gets handled.

Any similar experience folks here?

Does my I-130 timeline get impacted for moving from Consular to AOS (while pending)

When my I-130 was applied , my attorney had selected Consular Processing since I work on H1B and my COB - India had backlog), stating it is a standard process/advisable.

Then in few months when date for filling became current, my attorney applied for my AOS along with EAD & AP.

I am curious does this add more time to my I-130 processing timeline?

Ps :: I have completed by Biometrics, received by EAD+AP

Post Aug bulletin, how does COB play role for outstanding case process

How does COB still affect F2A processing?

I am F2A AOS (married to an LPR) with an early 2025 PD. My COB is backlogged countries that are now current.

With the August Visa Bulletin showing July 2026 as the Final Action Date for most countries (except Mexico), does country of birth (COB) still affect how cases are processed?

I do see a lot of fresh F2A cases from 2026 moving forward with movement on case or even being assigned a FO, so I’m curious whether approvals are mainly based on PD and USCIS workload rather or the countries backlog (aos + consular).

I-130 filed as Consular Processing, later switched to AOS—any impact to expect?

Hi-
Mine is an F2A case from a backlog country. I was on H-1B when my attorney filed my I-130 last year. They chose consular processing as a precaution since F2A wait times were long and wanted to keep options open if my status changed. When my filing date became current in few months, they filed my I-485 (AOS) instead since I am already in the country.

Worried my I-130 will take longer to process (been 1 & half year now)
Could the original consular processing selection have any impact on my AOS or overall processing timeline, or is this a common strategy?

Now that Final action date is same for all countries, how is the processing of cases done?

F2A(LPR) case - my I-130 PD is Jan 2025 & I-485 is June 2025
Based in NJ (closer to Newark) so I am guessing my FO will be Newark. Emma says the case is yet with NBC.

From all the approvals & greened post, I am noticing that people aren't mentioning their Country bucket.

So trying to understand, if the country of birth plays any role any more since most countries have July 2026 (except Mexico - July 2025) Final Action date.

What has been your experience?

Does anyone else struggle with seeing everything through a psychological lens?

I’m generally a very observant, self-aware and self-critical person. I can usually recognize when my words or behavior are coming from a place of insecurity or jealousy and thus I always open to constructive feeback & open to applying that mostly for my own peace of mind.

The problem is that this same showing up in other areas.

While I am constanlty searching for a meaningful
Connection, I’ve started feeling like most people around me—or people in general these days—are just looking for someone to pass the time with, vent to, or do activities with. I know I should appreciate that there are people who want to spend time with me, but I can’t shake the feeling that I’m missing a deeper connection.

I don’t hate these family/friends at all, but I notice that I have to convince myself to show up. My first thought is often:
Why do I need to be here? Why is this necessary? This feels repetitive. No one talks about anything of substance. No one wants to be challenged anymore because everyone seems afraid of being offended.

I have follen in this habit to notice patterns and connect seemingly unrelated pieces of information. So whenever I see someone doing something—whether it’s something small or something significant—I immediately start analyzing it and feel like I can pinpoint the insecurity that might be driving that behavior. It’s almost automatic. With my understanding of that person’s personality, experiences, and lifestyle, my brain quickly connects their actions to an underlying unmet need or insecurity.

I recently read that the answer is to judge less, invest less mental energy in analyzing everyone, and simply go with the flow. Intellectually, that makes sense, but I don’t know how to actually practice it.

Has anyone else gone through something similar?
What helped you become less analytical or less cynical and more present?

Any F2A(India) AOS updates for PD from 2025

Hi -
I-130 PD is Jan & I-485 PD is July 2025
Rceived my EAD/AP combo card in(12 months) July 2026.

I’ve been seeing some India F2A AOS cases from June–July 2024 getting processed recently, which is encouraging.
Has anyone with a late 2024 or early 2025 priority date seen any movement on their I-485?

Hoping to hear your timeline or any recent updates.

Hard time finding a cloth for my embroidery floss with this 0.1inch/2.5mm needle

I’m having a hard time finding the right fabric for punch needle using embroidery floss and a 0.1 in (2.5 mm) needle. I want to make few small patches with good quality. I don’t need a large piece of fabric or anything too expensive.

I tried regular embroidery cloth, michael's 28 Count Evenweave Needlework, thin linen bag, NONE worked.
Does anyone have recommendations for where to buy it online? Any specific fabric types or beginner-friendly options would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. I’m a first-time punch needler, so any beginner tips are welcome too :)

F2A timeline confusion - bulletin is sitting on Jan 2025, while mid 2023 cases are getting GC just now

The bulletin has been moving forward over the last 2 months and is currently sitting at 01 Jan 2025, but I keep noticing people on Reddit with PDs from April-June 2023 posting that they are currently received their GCs in 2026.

I’m curious — are only exception cases posting on Reddit, or are there also people from 2024 got or getting their GCs now too?

Expecting no magic with my case, just trying to understand how this process timeline calculation works.

My I-130 PD is late Jan 2025, while my I-485, AP, and EAD have a July 2025 PD (India).

I’m currently in the US on H1B, while my process was initially started through consular processing since my attorney felt that was the safer route in the current situation. We applied for EAD and AP in July 2025, but there have been no updates yet.

Expecting no magic with my case, just trying to understand how this process timeline calculation works.

It seems the early morning NON-stop 12:30am flight is now moved to later evening at 8:30PM via Rome.

Is there anyone flying on this flight; same day same time?
