Bands You Regret Never Seeing Live

Bands You Regret Never Seeing Live

I got see to see lots of great bands live: Elton John, Journey (with Steve Perry), Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, and more.

The Stones were always the one that got away. I was never in the right place at the right time.

Who was your band that got away?

They Really Exist!

My ONN 2026 4K Pro arrived today.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well it lives up to all the hype.

I will check back to let you know.

Seriously, What's Wrong With Louisville's Mail Service?

I avoid having packages shipped by USPS as much as possible. Still, sometimes it's unavoidable.

In following the tracking, they always seem to move across the country fine, until they arrive in Louisville. Then, they just stop.

Most recently, I ordered something to be shipped from Massachusetts. The package made it from Massachusetts to Indianapolis in one day. Then, it moved from Indianapolis to the Louisville Distribution Center in one day. Since then, it's been sitting still for going on three days.

This isn't the first time. I stopped having prescriptions delivered by mail, because I couldn't depend on them to arrive on time (or at all).

How can other cities manage to move mail fine, but Louisville can't?

Confusing ONN Line-Up

I have been a Roku user since the earliest days of streaming. I currently have five Roku streaming devices spread around the house.

Now, for reasons I won't go into, I want to get out of the Roku ecosystem.

I've read good things about the ONN streamers, but find the product line-up kind of confusing.

Which ones should I look at, and which should I skip?

FWW, I have higher-end Roku devices on two of my TV's, and cheaper Roku boxes on the other three.

Thanks!

Playing Cards With Grandpa

Both of my grandfathers liked to play cards.

One grandpa usually let me win, so I'd feel good.

The other grandpa played tough, so I'd learn nothing came for free.

At the time, I preferred the grandpa who made me feel good.

Now, though, I understand the other one.

The world is not an easy or fair place. It's valuable to learn that lesson young.

Which kind of grandpa would you pick?

Discover HYSA Rate Down To 3.0%

I just noticed this morning that the Discover HYSA rate is now down to 3.0%.

With CD rates rising, this account is becoming unattractive.

Things That Make You Feel Old

For me, it's explaining to a young person that we used to have to be at home on a specific day at a specific time if we wanted to see our favorite TV show.

What makes you feel old?

Transition To Capital One App?

I received an email today that I will need to start accessing my Discover credit card information using the Capital One app as of the end of July.

I also have several other Discover Bank accounts, including checking, HYSA, and a couple of CD's.

Does this mean all of my accounts move to Capital One on that same day? Or do they move individually, one at a time?

Thanks!

I've been a PF member for 6 years. Today, I encountered a first.

A young woman wearing big clunky headphones was listening to music and singing along at the top of her lungs. This wasn't just the humming the occasional chorus. It was fulltime belting out the tunes.

This was in a gym full of other people.

I just can't process how anyone could be so oblivious / self-absorbed to think this is okay behavior.

Is this something that happens in other places?
