This person commented this on a post I made about my experience with autism and how much worse it makes my life. Someone suggested I post it here

Hot take maybe, but I think anti’s saying that if you like problematic stories you must be like that irl is the same flawed logic Christian’s use when they say “how do you get your morals if your not Christian”

(disclaimer: this does not apply to all Christian’s or even all anti’s. this is just what I noticed. having no inner morality is not bad either as long as you work on yourself to be moral.)

what these two groups have in common is that the do not have an intrinsic sense of morality.

most human beings are born with an internal sense of right and wrong. although I do think the number of people who don’t have an inner moral compass is higher then assumed because people like the ones I mention here tend to slip through the crack.

if you don’t have a moral compass you need work to develop one. however a lot of people don’t know that they have to develop one at all or that it’s not normal for someone to have no inner morals, they think everyone has no morals by default.

without a moral compass these people get their morals from outside sources, religious people from their religion and anti’s from the fiction they consume. and because these people get their morals from outside sources they assume we do to.

Christians conflate being atheist with being amoral and anti's conflate being into dark fiction with being a bad person because those people have no morals outside of religion or fiction. they cant comprehend having morals without those things.

fiction does not affect reality but it affects anti's reality because that's where they get their worldview and morals from.

I think it's safe to say that that's not a heathy mindset to have. your morals should not be dependent on what you consume. developing morals is hard but worth it and its dangerous to rely solely on fiction as a way to tell you how to live

this is just a theory by the way don't take this too seriously

I'm writing a closeted trans woman? is there anything I should know?

im not sure this is the right place to ask but what the heck.

I am a cis woman who is currently writing a fan fiction about a closeted trans woman who has been closeted for a long time. she has a wife and child and her friend group is supportive of trans people in fact a lot of them are trans themselves but she has some trauma relating to her mother that makes her reluctant to come out

I want to be able to write her, her gender dysphoria, and the experience of being closeted accurately and I figured I would ask people with experience on this.

feel free to ask for more info on her if you are confused

do you have any advice for me?

edit: sorry for asking. its just that I wanted people with knowledge on what its like and I thought people here could help. im sorry for intruding.

People have no etiquette these days

I appreciate the sentiment but could you not insult my other work while complimenting me. if you want to compliment my fic do it on that fic and not on my other one, is that so hard.

not to sound like a boomer but I thought this kind of rude comment is against the rules.

people are so mean nowadays I swear to god

Fellow proshippers, what radicalized you?

I will go first.

i got into a ship involving two unrelated consenting adults. while they could be interpreted as toxic Its also very possible for them to have a healthy relationship with a little bit of character development

so what was the problem

well you see, most of fandom hates this ship. A good chunk of it considers it a proship

why, well for a couple of very stupid reasons.

one: half of this ship called the other half of the ship their daughter half as a joke and half as a way to get back at the other characters real father

two: one half of the ship has a girlfriend so shipping her with a man is “lesbian erasure”. The character is bisexual and cannon relationships don’t matter in shipping anyways.

three: one of the charchers is “child coded.” the reason for that is that she is energetic and naive from growing up sheltered. But she is a grown woman with her own business.

all this is to say that because of this stupid discourse I realized that you can never satisfy antis. So what is the point in trying. I discovered pro shipping and realized a lot of the stuff people are saying about it is not true and a lot of the arguments made sense to me

I fully embraced all the ships I liked no matter how toxic or morally fucked up it is since at the end of the day it does not really matter since people will be mad no matter what.

I could not be happier

I will go first

  • ”I’m not defensive,” he said defensively
  • Jax has never been religious, but in the moment he swears he’s seen a goddess
  • “Are you just gonna eye-fuck her the whole night or are you gonna actually talk to her“
