The Purple Lion

I have finished "The purple Lion" blanket! I name every blanket I make. This was my fist time using Lion Brand Yarn (8skeins). I chose the color purple. Hence The Purple Lion. I used the blanket stitch. It's a yarn eater for sure but it makes a squishy blanket. Look how proud Lovey Dovey is.

I just bought my first pattern ever.

I just bought the Persian Tile pattern from Janie Crow. I usually just design my own or watch free tutorials. I am so excited to give this a try. If any of you have made this beautiful blanket I would love some feedback. I have read some of the comments. They say the pattern is well written and easy to follow. (I really hope so)

Difference in RH yarn made in India.

I couldn't figure out how to add a picture to my previous post about the Red Heart yarn made in India. I wanted to show you am example. It even looks horrible. The darkest color here is called Dark Orchid. The color is beautiful but it is so scratchy and hard to work with. The center colors were made in Turkey. You can literally see the difference.

Red Heart yarn. Buyer beware.

Some RH yarn is made in India some is made in Turkey. There is a huge difference. The yarn made in India is horrible and feels like sand paper. The yarn made in Turkey is soft and fluffy and a pleasure to work with. I needed one more skein of Dark Orchid so I ordered one on Amazon. It's so bad. I just finished going through my entire stash of Red Heart yarn. I can't believe the difference. I actually had 1 skein that was made in Canada. Not too bad. I love Premier Basix. It's probably my favorite of the budget friendly yarn.

I can't wait to show you all what I'm working on next! 😍

Color choices

I have alot of yarn. Red Heart and Premier Basix. I love the RH color Oatmeal and I want to choose 2 complimentary colors to go with it for my next blanket. There are just so many to choose from I have delayed starting the blanket. I am determined to make a choice today. I thought maybe Mulberry and Cream or.... IDK, any suggestions?

Premier Puzzle has arrived!

Hello friends! I ordered 6 skeins of Premier Puzzle yarn. Honestly, have never really made a blanket using a bulky yarn. I have no idea what stitch would be good for this. Have any of you used it? What stitch did you use? Any tips?

My current WIP

This is what I am working on right now. I think I love it. My only issue is... I am using the recommended hook size and I wish I would have used a larger hook. It's not draping. It's a little stiff. I did reach out to the pattern creator JM Crochet. She said I can still go up a hook size if I am below row 15. I'm just torn because I know in the past when I've used this Red Heart yarn it softens up after I soak it in Fabric softener. Maybe that will give me the drape I'm looking for. Thoughts?

Making a blanket with RH Ombre. Something is... wrong with this yarn.

I have made 3 different blankets using the RH Ombre yarn. All 3 turned out beautiful. I used the colors Green Apple, Scuba, and Anemone. (Dark Pink) I decided to make another and ordered the same yarn in Baja Blue. The difference in this yarn is like night and day. It's thick almost like a bulky #5. It feels strange too. My hook squeaks with every stitch. It feels like it was treated with something. I am only half way through one skein and I've put it away and moved on. 🤔 I wonder why they are so different. Very disappointing.

Funny story.

I have been buying my Lion Brand yarn at Walmart. I have Walmart Plus so shipping or delivery direct from my store is free. I've been making a blanket using the Mandala Gradient in Purple. The stitch I am using was more of a yarn eater than I anticipated so I had to order 3 more skeins last night. They delivered my yarn this morning however... they were out of the purple so they substited 3 random colors. 🤣🤣🤣 I just find that hilarious. I have a good mind to finish the blanket using those colors. I think it will make me laugh whenever I look at it.

The guilt is killing me!

I have been crocheting for decades. My daughter has been asking me for a Granny Square blanket for years. Her birthday was coming up and I had every intention of making one for her but life got in the way. I was diagnosed with Lukemia and honestly I can barely get out of bed some days. So... I found a beautiful Granny Square Blanket on Etsy from a very talented woman named Pauline so I bought it for $180. When she opened it, she absolutely loved it! But when her husband walked in she said "Honey, look what my mom made me"! My heart sunk. There was a room full of people and I didn't have the heart to correct her. Now, I feel so guilty. I don't want to take credit for something I didn't create but... I don't want to take away the.... specialness. (is that a word)?

Look, I know what I have to do... I just really don't want to. My intention was never to deceive her or take credit for someone else's work. I just wanted her to have the blanket she wanted.

I'm done!

I really love the Suzette Stitch. I wasn't too sure about these colors together but I love it! On to my next project. I love that feeling.

Can't find the end! I bought 2 Caron Cakes Mandala Gradient but I can't find the end.

This is my first time buying this beautiful yarn. The purple color is just gorgeous but... I just cant seem to find the end.

Ride or die? But for how long?

Do you think Ellie will think Barbie is her "ride or die" after she "hooks up" with Jaoa? The look on Ellie's face when Barbie said "I'm just going to hook up with all of them". It was hilarious. I don't remember Ellie's exact words but it was something like "Eddie here she comes". You know she doesn't want Barbie anywhere near Jaoa.

I think the season is almost over. Barbie best get a move on.

Order finally shipped.

As you know from some of my previous posts, I was in the same situation as you. Getting the same answers from Pomegranate and The Pharmacy Hub as you have. But finally, after over 3 weeks, my order shipped yesterday. I'm not here to tell you to be patient because honestly this entire situation was unacceptable. I am just here to let you know that my order (3 month refill of 14.5) has finally shipped. I hope this gives you some peace of mind. Keep checking your email account. That's how I was first notified that my order was being packaged. Then I got a text message letting me know that it had shipped. My order comes by UPS so download the App if you haven't. It seems like things are finally moving. Good luck to you all. Sadly this will be my last order from Pomegranate.

Ellie, Ellie, Ellie.

You didn't "shut him down". I know you are stalking this sub so I hope you read this comment. Rejection is ok. It's a part of life. Everyone gets rejected at some point in their life. It's what you do, it's what you say, it's how you act that has everyone criticizing you. If you really like someone go for it but if they don't feel the same... see it for just that. All you need to say is "I took a shot, it didn'twork out". But when you tell people that you shut him down when it all played out on camera and everyone knows it was the other way around.... It makes you look delusional and insecure.

And on another note. When Ben asks you if Barbie is your friend and you say "Yes! She will have my back. She is my ride or die." It's like you want there to be fighting and chaos. Ellie just stop it. You are the problem. And you are the one who went in and ASKED Daisy if she had a problem with you! She didn't attack you or speak to you inappropriately. You lie.

Concerned

I am in the same boat as many of you. After many calls and emails I finally got a response on thursday from The Pharmacy Hub that was reassuring. But... when I saw the words "priority queue" and "expidited" I was sure my order would ship on Friday. If it doesn't ship in the next few days I am really going to be worried. I ordered 22 days ago. To be fair I didn't pay my invoice until April 23rd because I needed to pay with 2 cards which caused confusion.

Here's hoping 🤞

After 2 weeks of waiting patiently and another 5 days trying to get to the bottom of my order status, I just got an email from The Pharmacy Hub letting me know that the provider has updated my order and it is in the queue for fulfillment. My guess is they are out of the 60 mg vials. I don't mind this but... that 2027 BUD was one of the reasons I ordered. I have seen other posts from patients getting 68 mg. vials with an October 2026 BUD. 🤔 I think transparency would have gone a long way here. I would have liked the option to go with a different pharmacy.

I hope my order ships soon. I guess we will see.

I have made several positive posts about Pomegranate. I even made a post encouraging people to be patient. I have changed my tune completely. I have been going back and forth between Pom and The Pharmacy Hub for days. Going on 2 weeks now. I got a tracking number but the UPS app says they printed a label and my shipment was ready for pick up but UPS never got the package. After several calls and emails I was assured the package would ship "today" that's been everyday for a week. So when it still hadn't shipped today I emailed them again and got this reply. I called Pom and the customer service rep has no clue what is going on and assured me he would call the pharmacy and get right back to me. That was 3 hours ago. I have sent another email to Cherry and Josefa but at this point... Unless I drive to Florida myself and find it, I doubt I'll get my order because I have talked to several people who have not been able to get to the bottom of it. Sadly, this will be my last order with Pom.

What is your favorite yarn to use for blankets and why? I just finished 3 projects and I am excited to try something new. I have always used the basic RH 100% acrylic yarn. I would love to hear your suggestions. I am also ready to try a more complicated pattern. Up until now I have used beginner friendly patterns but I can't help but feel like I was practicing. If I expect more out of myself, hopefully I can rise to my expectations. 😃
