Paddled the Merced River in Yosemite!

This was my first river experience with my SUP and I learned quite a bit! The first evening I paddled upriver on my own. It wasn’t too hard, certain parts I had to use my legs and oar to go upstream as it got too shallow/fast. This evening I also learned how having no fin at all makes the board turn way more.

Coming down on the easy rapids was fun and I got some good speed. During this I also found out how seriously wet the board gets between using my legs, the rapids, and how the board digs into the water.

The next morning, towing my friend in floatee was the most difficult part for sure. We used the ankle attachment and it sucked badly as we hardly moved at all. Next time either getting a tow rope or maybe just mot towing. They also didn’t take me seriously on how wet they would get and were ill-prepared. This time I had to pack the board down river this time and walk it back. It got really sandy though, and perhaps next time I should bring it to a rock or pavement to pack.

Still, was much fun!

After having done it, no better way to see Yosemite then by Stand Up Paddle Board

At this time of year? A few spots I had to wade due to the shallowness. But it was still awesome. It also works perfectly that I can just float down and take the bus back. Some of the fish are just massive too!

Got ghosted. No one can ever love me. I where hundreds of masks and not a single one of them is lovable.

I really thought id be safe from ghosting by her. I knew it was too good to be true. She stole my truecel status and left me nothing but a stupid incel. Her mom so badly wants me back with her but she hurt me and i doubt she wants me back anyway.

My (((friends))) want me to be not over her and think I’m lying. The truth is I am over her. I am not over being hurt though 😔

I (20m) haven’t heard from my GF (18m) in 11 days now. Is it over? (Very complex, advice needed)

Edit: 18f

For both of us its our first real relationship and we met inside a cultural circle that is pretty small where most people know one another. She was the one to ask me out. I never had much confidence so have only been on a few dates before. We have been dating for 3 months and about 1-2 months ago we made things official and officiated as boyfriend/girlfriend and told others that we are a couple.

We are medium distance but every date we have had has been awesome and spending time together at said cultural events… adorable for lack of better word. At one event, both our families were sat together for 3 days. I even went to her graduation party and met a lot of her family. There’s just been a lot of investment thats gone into our relationship from both ends.

As of today it would be 11 days since I have heard from her having had a crazy great date at an amusement park and a normal text conversation. She was supposed to stay with some friends in another town for 5 days but those days have passed so what was whatever is now becoming concerning. Not like we texted everyday, and we’d go weeks without doing so during the talking stage, but this feels different given im being left on delivered. i texted on day 3 of no word asking how her trip is going and 10 asking if she was fine. Usually with flakey friends I wouldn’t even bother by day 10 but feel theres an obligation. She hasn’t removed me from her instagram or anything of the sort.

There’s many reasons why I really want the relationship to continue, but what id like y’all to know is that we are very compatible with one another in lifestyles and values. I’d be sad if it ended but tbh way more annoyed at the possibility of awkwardness since we are both very well known in the community and so many people know about us. I wouldn’t even know how to handle that. Id much rather have closure a million times over ghosting or not even tried 🙃

How do I navigate telling others we are no longer a couple? And how long is too long for reaching out to me where I put my foot down and say no?
