Anyone missing a three legged cat in a harness….?

Anyone missing a three legged cat in a harness….?

Because your cutie is our back yard, but I don’t think that they are used to being out by themselves!

Message me if you know this kitty or send their owners this post?! I’m near the Whole Foods on Alaska.

Who’s got a pebble ice maker?!?

And IS IT WORTH IT?!?

I have a relatively small kitchen with limited counter space, so husband has been poo-pooing the idea.

However, I’m still pretty sure that I need one. Do I need one? I need one. Right?

Photo: a pineapple-lime-passionfruit-rum-triple sec- rhubarb bitters-sour salt drink with a swizzle stick I snuck away from my parents house- and then my mom got rid of the rest of them! I would have taken them all 🤣 ANYWAY: some variation of these ingredients (sometimes adding Campari; sometimes adding egg whites; sometimes using allspice dram etc) is my favorite homemade tiki-ish drink. I am SO impressed by so many of your home Tiki Bars. Please keep sharing photos!!!!

Onto the gladiolus!

PSA I was weed whacking the other day and accidentally went over a yellow jacket nest. Got stung 5 times and almost went anaphylactic. Here’s your reminder to check before you whack 😅

The gladiolus have really started blooming- I’m excited for all of the colors still to come!

The garden is my happy place and this is the best time of year 😍

My style of gardening? Save a lot of the orphaned bulbs already sprouted that I find at stores 🤣 the rest? Mostly chaos gardening to get the most color!

CEO wants to get back in business with an abusive customer

We have a new CEO. He has been here nine months and has made a LOT of changes- most were necessary, even if difficult and not my preferred option, but I understand the why’s.

I found out this weekend that he wants to regain a customer that we lost early this year. This customer mentally and verbally abused me for two years before I broke and said I couldn’t handle him any more. Another rep took over, we lost the account. I almost left my industry because of him. It took me two years to get over that abuse and finally feel good at work and not just trauma responding to everything.

The problem is that if we go after this customer again, they will fall under my vertical. I now have reps under me, so it would not be MY account, but I’m also not willing to allow anyone on my team be abused by him. And no, the abuser will NOT change, and apparently is never going to get fired from his position.

I’m along for the ride with new CEO. I’m still cautiously optimistic. But hearing this interest in pursuing the customer again made my heart sink. I’m a woman, so already get labeled as emotional- how can I best protect my people from the abuser? My ideal protection is stopping this idea from continuing to form in the CEOs mind. I would absolutely love to never do business with this man involved in it again. Ever.

I might be smiling but this is the single largest rootball I’ve pulled out of our property.

The hillside: overgrown by years of neglect and a climate perfect for growth; I named it the ‘Quagmire of Bullsh*t’ because it was(is) a mix of blackberries (some of these roots are the blackberries but generally those roots are smaller, darker and *way* more resistant to being disrupted), ivy (most of this ball), vining roses and morning glory.

The project: ripping it all up. I did one side of our hill last year; this is year 2 and THE biggest rootball that I’ve pulled out of this hillside!

The smile: only because it is INCREDIBLY SATISFYING to rip something like this out of the ground. Results you can FEEL!
