Can you be aroace and have limerence?

Context: was limerent for a guy earlier this year but thinking back I’m starting to doubt if it was romantic/sexual attraction or just me wanting to be very close friends with him.

So can someone be aroace (or on the aroace spectrum) and still feel limerence for someone?

Am I aroace possibly?

Sorry if I sound really stupid asking this but I’m confused now. I don’t know am I aroace? Or at least on some part of the aroace spectrum?

So I thought I was bi: I find girls and boys attractive (***but not in a way that I want to have sex or date them) and a (mostly closeted) trans guy so I dunno if that affects this. I’ve had multiple people like me over this last year and I’ve always felt uncomfortable when people are like that with me. So maybe it’s just that.

But this guy asked me out last year and I said yes mostly because I felt bad saying no and most of my friends were in relationships. And I thought I wanted that because it was the hype. And I wanted to be seen as who I was, since nobody else in my life really does. But it was miserable. I started to hate every part of it. It’s not like I hated him, I still wanted to be friends, I just hated the relationship aspect of it. My friend said she really liked being in a relationship. I never did. I never felt anything.

And I think I’ve had a crush before but I’m starting to rethink if it was an actual crush because yes, I found him attractive but not in the way that I wanted to have sex with him or even wanted to date him. I just thought he looked nice and I wanted to be his friend. Or just having someone else to turn my attention onto instead of myself. I liked the thrill of trying to find stuff out about him and mess with him but I really think I would just be happiest if we were close friends.

And same with my first ‘crush,’ I thought I liked her at the time but now I think I just wanted to be her friend. Common autism struggles apparently.

I don’t know. I can’t really imagine myself being happy in a sexual or romantic relationship. But maybe I’m just overthinking it and I don’t like people liking me as a girl or whatever. Please help.

Choosing a name

I'm trans (FtM) and I've been trying to choose a name for while (4 years). I have looked online and asked other people for advice, but nothing has really stuck eith me and it feels weird if I name myself after anyone I know

I thought dating someone else would help me get over him

I've been limerent for this guy for a while. I know I don't have a chance with him but I just can't get over him.

And so there's this other guy that liked me and asked me out and I said sure only because I was kinda just desperate for someone to notice me and care about me, and because hopefully it would help me get over my LO.

It didn't. And now I'm stuck in this relationship I never really wanted to be in.

More context: my LO is currently in another country for the summer so I hope I can stay NC and that it allows me some time, maybe a chance to forget about him until I inevitably see him again in the fall.

But I don't know what I should do about this relationship. Because on one hand it feels like cheating. But also I can't control this limerence so idk what I'd even do. He said I make him happy so don't wanna hurt him, but it's all fake anyway.

I hate limerence. It makes me feel like such a bad person. And I'm doing it all for nothing anyway, but I can't escape the cycle.

Is this first paragraph cringe?

Context: horror, (made up “town”), MC’s isolation is major role in the story

still tweaking it, open to suggestions (please)

Adding more details in first person?

First time I’m writing a first person (present tense) story. I’m not quite used to the style but it’s important to the story to tell it in this way.

Whenever I write, it just sounds bland. ”I do this.” “I think that.” Like the MC is only saying logical statements about the world around them.

I will admit, I mainly have read books in 3rd person throughout my life (mainly classics) have only really branched out recently, and I have always struggled making detailed, fleshed-out scenes so that’s probably a factor. But it just sounds bland and boring, and like my main character has no personality.

My stories end up being very short and lacking detail

So whenever I start writing I will get my idea out but what in my head would be a full chapter ends up being like half a page. So like a full scene would be only 1 or 2 paragraphs.

I think maybe I’m not adding enough details and just saying everything directly, but I don’t know how I’d go about improving that. Every time I try it still doesn’t add much length or depth. Any advice?

I always find it a struggle to come up with good names for my characters.

Whenever I try to find names that fit my characters, they’re either names of people I know and interact with often (and therefore feels weird to use), or they don’t fit the mood of the story.

I find I usually just end up reusing names from previous stories (I predominantly write short stories) or using some basic name like ‘John’ that doesn’t fit my character right or makes the story less immersive. Any advice?
