What is a good size hospital tank?

Whats a size that you guys think that would be good? Nothing too big but also not too small. i was thinking somehitng medium that could keep the parameters stable but also not be too hard to keep aside [due to lack of storage space]

and is plastic bins a suitable hospital tank? i know there people who have bins instead of tanks but i never tried that

thanks have a nice day!

Should i look for a new teacher or just be more direct?

I've been learning bass for about 3 months now, and a month ago i bought my very own bass. I am super happy with the isntrument , i have wanted to learn bass for over a decade and always thought i'd do horrible and waste my money , i was worried i wouldnt love playing it as much as i love lsitening to it. But that was not the case at all!

My bass teacher whos been helping me is very attentive and has been following with my demans to learn music theory more than just practice [as i get to do that at home but studying is hard].

The problem i have is that my bass teacher is primarly a guitar player, and when he tries to give me examples of ways to use music theory, he bursts out a melodic solo. Which is not really my focus. I know that's one of the many wonderful ways that bass can be played but i trully just love the rhythm aspects of it more and im shy and dont want to pop out. I like the bass lines that only musicians notice and that others ignore. i like the idea of keeping a groove and being essential without being "the star". But that's not what my teacher has been focusing on, we havent played with a metronome once.

My dad's a former orchestra double bass player and told me to just find a new teacher , he says this one has not been correcting my finger placements well enough either.

I'm going to try to have a talk with my teacher and set my goals very fairly before i do anythig harsh, i have looked around but not found any music school with actual bassists as bass teachers either.

Should i keep looking? And try to find an actual bassist, or would you guys say i should give my current teacher a bigger chance to get to know me and what i desire of theory/practice.

Picture of my bass added as the posts demand it
