Even though they won a golden globe, I still think it’s underrated. They should have won all their emmy nominations. I rewatch the show every year for its perfect directing, soundtrack, plot and acting.
There are some shows that are on par with the original source material but I think Jean Marc Vallee was a genius and somehow made Gillian Flynn’s book better on screen. The three female characters and actresses (Amy Adams, Eliza Scanlen and Patricia Clarkson) were absolutely perfect and the southern gothic feel was haunting. Amma is the scariest character I’ve ever watched.
I just finished binge watching the show and I have a lot of opinions on these characters to say the least.
i’ve noticed over the span of 6 years that my most successful spells are the ones with less ingredients and more intention. i’ve done spells with over 10 herbs and spells with just 3 or none at all and the latter always works the fastest and most accurate. i just thought it was pretty funny after all these years of research and trial and error all i really need is a pen, paper and candle.
In fact, the whole family is weird asf for letting her dress revealingly even when she was a minor ex. the teenage mutant ninja turtles cosplay with her ass out and also making inappropriate jokes.
From the start, Sunday and Demitra admitted Eli didn’t want to film content and that they begged and bribed her to be in their videos. The recent Demitra story of Eli post bikini wax with her underwear showing was honestly disturbing and reminded me of the recent video of Eli in a bikini and Noah in bed. They’re just so odd using their little sister for views.
I feel very conflicted as a book fan watching the first 2 seasons. On one hand I am so grateful and glad we got a series but on the other I’m a bit disappointed by the way it’s been directed. There are some great qualities to the overall story and cast but I can’t seem to put my finger on why it doesn’t feel high stakes but corny and rushed.
The books are action, suffering and comedy packed but the Disney show seems to be so bland and juvenile. I understand the main target is children but I hate how dumbed down and simple everything is in PJO. Why can’t the audience be trusted to figure out context and plot clues? Why is everything being spoon fed?
I’m hoping they’re pulling a Harry Potter and that the next few seasons will become more mature.
I’m well aware this fandom has been dead for over a decade but I saw a viral tiktok about The Host by Stephanie Meyer and remembered how much I loved that book and the relationship between Ian and Wanda. Does anyone have any recommendations?
the blue moon is tonight and i wanted to make a protection jar for a sibling, myself and my cat. thoughts? should i just make a separate jar for everyone
my birthday is coming soon and i wanted to spoil myself by trying new makeup and skincare. any recommendations that most people aren’t aware of?
The new Greece video was so weird. Demitra was sitting across from Noah and then she moved next to him and was flirting with him the whole time. Before y’all say she was just there to translate Sunday knows how to speak greek too.
Out of all the sisters I find Demitra unbearable because she’s an attention whore. She’s constantly cutting off Sunday and Eli in conversations, wearing the most revealing clothing and takes up majority of their videos. She’s the most boring and annoying sister to me and I just feel bad for Sunday and Eli and wished they got more screen time because they’re actually funny
I just watched a viral tiktok about how common it is for South Korean establishments to ban southeast asians specifically filipinos. This irritates me because so many filipinos travel to South Korea and consume their food and culture. We already know they are colorist but the fact that they are straight up denying entry is insane. I wish more filipino people boycotted Kpop, kdramas, korean food, skincare and makeup. Our oppressors should not be profiting from us.

this past year i’ve been reaching for my haus labs powder blushes over YSL which is surprising to me because i never change my favorite makeup products.
i purchased pomelo peach (absolutely adore this coral shade) but then dropped and damaged it. this time i decided to buy a blonzer color called fire moon and am floored by the quality. so blurring and long lasting on my skin. i’ve received many compliments on these blushes
i’m interested in what everyone’s holy grails are in each category. asking for a friend (myself)
