How do I solve my dad’s gang stalking issuev

Context: My father has an issue thinking there’s people out to get him. It’s gone this way for many years and it’s gone so far he has had many car accidents and very violent encounters with regular ass people.

The story he tells are very believable. People speeding past him on purpose, he sees the same cars every day following him, he recognizes the same people in his own restauraunt. It’s the worst when there’s car involved, he thinks people are lining up, synchronously blocking him in, and he does extremely dangerous manuevers as a reacting measure. I have been in the car with him many many times and we are very close to dying sometimes lol.

I’m a little bit older now (19M) and it’s only gotten worse. He can’t sleep, he lost his job recently, and he still has no idea why people are after him every day of his life. The worst part is he surrounds himself with people who feed into it, drives around with his “friends” that just blindly goes on his side.

I tried stepping into his shoes fo r these past few months and I felt similarly to how he felt, that gang stalking effect. I had to mentally click first how I seen it, for example two cars last night left with me as I got off work, but I know (obviously) that these guys are not actually following me or anything, but I can see how easily it fools someone like my dad.

The most strangest thing is that my dad is well spoken. He’s smart and he is unique. He does kind of hate people in general (idk if it’s related to gang stalking) but he’s honestly good hearted. He does have criminal background. But he aint CIA track down level, he’s been clean for many years. He thought maybe all these things are happening to him because he did something to someone a long time ago.

Just wanted to ask, because this post is very personal, if you were in my shoes, what would you guys do?

What is happening to the bodies of UFC fighters when they cut weight?

I see UFC fighters or even any combat sport with extremely competitive weight cutting all the time almost fall over and physically can barely walk.

What’s exactly happening to their bodies when the weight cutting is this extreme? Is any organ close to shutting down?

I know how it feels because I’ve done wrestling in high school and it’s absolutely terrible.

Why do we keep increasing rim size?

I wanted to ask mechanics, diy and professionals alike, today's big question (and their opinion):

Why are bigger rims a standard? Why is it a norm?

Here's my take:

Bigger rims are heavier, take more force/torque to move (decreasing acceleration), take more braking force to stop the same distance as a smaller rim, and usually (because of marketing tactics) are priced way way higher for absolutely no logical reason.

I want to bring up an important point, that somehow the consumer buys the idea that having bigger rims means bigger tires means more bad ass car, right? Then the industry capitalizes on that illusion and creates this big scheme that multiplies the price of bigger rims and tires, even though they absolutely know how dumb it is to go with a bigger rim in the first place.

A lot of 2000s cars are riced out with 18, 19 inch rims when their car weighs like 2500 lbs. The worst part is that these cars are LOWERED on coilovers or some sort of cut springs. Do people not think with their brains when they buy wheels?

Car enthusiasts that like "stanced" cars are not excluded. They have big ass chrome rims with super super stretched tires, THEN add camber... like what? I had a friend who bought a car with stretched tires and an oversized rim and guess what.. his tire blew up on the highway! I spent the entire day rescuing him!

Sorry for the rant. But what do you guys think? Disagree?

Tips to getting back into the game?

I am not a beginner, I have accumulated north of 10k hours on and only PC.

I stopped playing over a year ago, pretty much right before Siege X, I do play here and there but never anything serious. The reason for my leave was to focus on life after high school. Now I had comfortable time in college to play.

I was a triple digit champ almost every season with a high wr %, five stacking and tryharding but that’s enough background, so here I go:

I want to play again but not like that anymore, just genuinely want to enjoy the game now. With people to play and stack with, maybe coach, but I feel like everyone worships mmr.

Not sure where to start, I’ve always been on the other side of the coin, where I never cared about having fun and took the game basically serious af. Now I want to play again and get back into the game being with a completely opposite mindset.

I do not enjoy playing with lower ranks and carrying, I do not like showing off my “feats” as an ex-champ, maybe there’s a community/discord out there for me? I just kind of want a restart and enjoy the game now, as it was intended.

Maybe I’m going backwards? Possibly I need to move onto another game and community.

EDIT; I also am very new to the meta and all of the new operators, to stay relevant to this subreddit can I also receive your best tips and tricks to not fall behind/get surprised in matches?

ELI5 What is gangstalking and is it real?

NOT talking about if you’re genuinely being tracked and hunted down for 24/7 because you’re on the most wanted FBI list.

I am talking about the gangstalking phenomenon that many everyday people feel associated with.

Hi, as a college student I'm wondering how a professor can be so calm and move so fast through the material when a lot of times students aren't actually keeping up at all.

Lecture becomes kind of an in-person video where a lot of times, I feel, students (me included) are lost, bored, and honestly hopeless during lecture. That means we have extra homework to do (catch up, and try to study the material on our own). Then it repeats, and I feel like many times this happens in several other classes.

I'm a graduated HS valedictorian so I'm no stranger to studying or being academically inclined, but STILL some professors just have the most non-intuitive ways of teaching, many of which just assume you can get the idea on the fly where we end up having the class never ask any questions.. well because I assume students don't really understand what's going on.

I know I keep using the generalization of students as if I'm speaking for ALL students, but I mean in general.

For example, my physics professor uses big words, grabs equations out of thin air, and pretty much skips all the lengthy work because he's just copying his note card for that lecture onto the whiteboard. That kind of stuff, and as much as the whole class wants to take notes, they are JUST as confused because we have no idea what to note-take, and if we wanted to copy everything it's no better than to snap pictures of whatever-the-fuck is going on. As a student I want to take notes on things I know are actually important in my eyes.

And I know as a student it's our responsibility to ask as much questions as possible, but in some classrooms, and many UC students can attest to this, that it's virtually not realistic to ask questions the entire class, especially in a large classroom. Yes, I know in many cases we have tutoring, help outside the classroom, but that's not what my question is about, it's about the learning in the classroom idea.

This is not a hate post towards professors, they are gifted and talented individuals just trying to pass knowledge onto their students. I love the challenges that come with school, I just wanted to share my experiences so far. The purpose of creating this post is so that I can become a better student here and adopt an appropriate mindset.

So here we go, my question is, are professors aware of this? And if so, what do you (the professor) do to improvise, if anything, to see better results in the classroom? A lot of my peers bring up their class' test score averages and they are sometimes in the 50-60% range and I get so confused! How are professors okay with that?

Please let me know if I'm missing the whole point of lecture.. or college.. because I'm starting to believe maybe it is to just to study on our own and lecture is just how you interpret it.

EDIT:

Thank you all for your responses, I have read ALL of them and will revisit to continue to read future replies.

It shifts my mindset as a student a lot and that my question can be answered with areas being in both a professor and student issue.

However, being a student, the only proactive thing to do is to take accountability of my education and keep studying and being ahead of the curve (the course timeline) outside of the classroom while trying to decipher and make the most out of every lecture!

I agree that lecture is a tool for students, not a high school classroom that spoon feeds information. It’s also humbling in many ways, yes I know it sounded arrogant bringing up my valedictorian status.

I hope others read your insights and replies as they could very well be key to their success in college, as it will very likely be mine.
