Pregnant again with residual HCG

I have been following my hcg trend down since my D&C on June 14th. Last Wednesday it was 5. My OB’s TTC recommendation was just to wait until I have period before we try again. I had sent a message asking if my HCG needed to be at 0 beforehand and no one responded to me. So when I had my period on July 23rd, so we jumped back into TTC, assuming it would take awhile. Yesterday I got a VVFL that has darkened today. I’m not 100% sure yet but I think this is the start of a new pregnancy. I had tested negative last Friday.

But my OB just sent a message asking if I can get another draw this week to make sure my levels go below 5. And now I am terrified that there is some danger to conceiving again with a HCG level of 5. I feel like I’ve done something wrong by TTC again, and now I’m anxious to tell my OB. Can anyone give some reassurance?

7 DPO test update

Update to my post yesterday about squinter 6/7dpo(last pic). I think it’s real! Today’s is still a VVFL, but the line is much noticeable in the FRER. easy at home is still a squinter.

Does this look like a real positive? Still no idea if I’m 7 or 8 dpo today!

Could I be further than 6dpo?

My temps say I’m 6dpo today, but I got VVFL this morning on both easy at home and FRER. I know it’s pretty much impossible to test positive at 6dpo. Could I be more like 7dpo?

I had a failed ovulation attempt and then a second surge, spanning over the whole week. So I wonder if my egg didn’t drop soon after my real peak day on CD19? Just confused on my timing!

5dpo big dip?

5dpo and my temp dropped below cover line? Has this happened to anyone? With my last pregnancy charts, I only had sustained elevated temps. So a drop like this is pretty disheartening.

Early ovulation? Or still waiting?

I am on my first cycle TTC since my D&C. My hcg is still lingering(15 two weeks ago, I go again tomorrow, my HCG tests have been nearly negative.) but my OB gave the go ahead to try this cycle. However, it’s causing my LH tests to stay at a baseline level and messed with catching my peak day.

Pre-pregnancy, I would ovulate around CD16. This cycle, I started cramping and having CM around CD10, on CD11 my husband and I caught a cold and weren’t up for anything. I thought we still had a couple of days until ovulation, but then I got a temp shift on CD13. At first I thought it was from my cold, but it’s stayed elevated. I added my chart and my LH tests. Does it look like I’ve already ovulated? If I did, was my CD11 heart an okay timing? I feel super nervous about trying, I was hoping for a fairly straight forward cycle to decipher😅

10 DPO new pregnancy or post miscarriage?

Emergency hemorrhage and D&C on 6/14

Last HCG draw on 7/8: 25

Egg white fluid and ovulation pains on 7/9. We did have sex but perfect withdrawal.

Oura ring confirmed ovulation via temps on 7/13. On 7/13 | took an LH test and it was light, HCG test was VFP (first pic with wood background)

I am now 10DPO and today around 4pm with no hold, took an LH and HCG test just to make sure my tests were negative before I went in for my hopeful last HCG draw tomorrow. To my surprise, my LH and HCG tests were noticeably darker.

We were intimate once on my fertile days, but practiced perfect withdrawal, which we have used for effective birth control for 5 years now with only intentional pregnancies. The likelyhood of a new pregnancy feels very slim to me.

But if it is, I would be very very anxious as my last ultrasound showed thickened lining and debris that still needed to come out. We wanted to try after my first cycle.

Is there any explanation to this that doesn't include a new pregnancy?

First pic is 7/13 and second and third today. Last is my chart

Is my 3.5yr processing trauma normally?

Back in October my husband had an incident at home where he completely severed his main artery in his arm, there was a massive blood loss in our front yard and we almost lost him. My daughter did see some of this before the neighbor took her inside. My husband stayed in the hospital for a few days and now has a very large scar down his whole arm. Thankfully, we already had plans to move from that house the week after it happened. My daughter talked about the accident a lot but seemed to be processing it okay.

In March I found out I was pregnant with our third, my daughter knew about the pregnancy and was very excited. In May I found out I had a missed miscarriage, we had to explain this to her. In June, after thinking the miscarriage was complete, I hemorrhaged at home and needed to be rushed to the ER for an emergency D&C. My daughter was home and while she didn’t see any blood, she knew I was bleeding and had to come with to the hospital until Grandma could get there.

Now, we’ve noticed her talking about blood very very often. She is constantly asking about blood and bringing up our accidents and the loss of the baby. I let her talk about the accidents and we have lots of calm conversations about how we got hurt but the doctors helped us feel better, and that it was okay to still feel scared, but we are healed and safe now. We also talk about blood a lot, how it’s important and how our body needs it. But she still seems terrified of blood, whenever there is a cut she gets very upset, and does not like watching child friendly educational videos on blood, etc.

I have reached out to a couple of child therapists and am waiting to hear back. But does this sound like normal processing still? Is there anything I should be doing differently to support her?

Post miscarriage- ovulation?

I’m 8.5wks out from finding out about my MMC, 6wks out from taking Miso, and 4wks out from hemorrhaging and emergency D&C. Exactly a week ago my HCG was 25, my ultrasound last week showed thickened lining at 15mm and some “debris”, but no retained tissue.

About 5 days ago I started having egg white cm, some cramping and hormonal acne, it very much felt like I was ovulating. I’m still getting very faint postive pregnancy tests, so I didn’t take any LH tests. But now FF is showing confirmed ovulation, matching up to when my symptoms began. Can I even ovulate with all that is still going on with my uterus? Doesn’t HCG have to be 0? Obviously just have to wait and see what my chart does, but I’m not sure if there’s even a chance of ovulation!

Hen with large comb? Or Roo?

We have three 19.5wk buff Orpingtons. Over the last two weeks their combs have been changing into large, bright red combs and waddles. One of them, who started the change first, has a very large, floppy comb and wattle. The other two are still changing, but aren’t as large as hers.

Do they all look like hens? No eggs from any of them yet, and no one’s crowed. We had a buff rooster who we lost at 16wks, he was crowing and had large tail feathers by then.

Multiple Turners Syndrome Pregnancies

Hopefully this is allowed here, not TFMR but someone suggested posting here for more TS info.

In 2023 I had a healthy baby girl with normal NIPT. In 2025 I had my second daughter, whose NIPT came back high risk for Turner's Syndrome. We did the full testing with Amniocentesis and learned it was either very low level mosaic that the test couldn't even detect, or confirmed to the placenta. I had pre-E and IUGR with both. Both are small and my second daughter is still less the 1% in height. We found out after she was born that my husband's first cousin was just diagnosed with full Turner's syndrome.

Fast forward to May of this year, where I had a MMC at 10wks. Baby measured at 9wks. I had a traumatic miscarriage even that ended in hemorrhage and D&C. We just now got the results for our Anora genetic test, and found out it was another baby girl who had full Turner's syndrome.

My OB is now highly suspicious that either I have a low level mosaicism, or my husband and I are both carriers considering his family history. We're being sent to a geneticist to get testing done. Has anyone ever gone through something like this? We wanted to try again, but now I’m not sure.

Brand new to goats!!

We found ourselves with two 3&4wk old bottle babies. Nigerian dwarf bucklings. We have chickens but this is our first time with any other livestock. What do we need to know?

We know the basics on bottle feeding, got them set up safe in the garage with some alfalfa and bedding. Calling the local livestock vet tomorrow to schedule their banding and debudding for the one. My husband is starting on their pen and shelter this weekend. Our kids are over the moon! I’m wondering what we got ourselves into!

Any advice for absolute newbies? Can I let them just follow us around outside when we’re out, or do we always need to have them in their pen? We’re on 10 acres of mainly wooded land. I know they are wanderers, will they follow me around while I’m outside as babies? Not sure how much trust to put into them at this age!

Past Timely Filing?

Not sure where to go from here… We swapped to Medica from 10/01/25-12/31/25. My daughter had a routine pediatrician appt on 12/14/25. I provided them with our Medica info and they added it to portal and said they removed our old. On May 22nd 2026 I received a bill for $1,267.00 for this pediatrician appt. I called on May 24th and they had ran it through our prior insurance, I provided them with the correct and they said they would re run it. I called June 1st to get an update and they said they can’t run it through insurance due to it being past timely filing. So then I call Medica and they state that they never received a claim and that billing needs to resubmit it, they did say they had a 100 day timely filing statute, but also said billing was required to submit it within that timeline. I called Billing back and relay this info, and provided them with the provider number that Medica gave me for them to call. I gave them two weeks and called back, they said it was denied again and that they were escalating it but they said I would be responsible. Now I’m getting a past due collections warning.

I don’t know what to do.

  1. This is a routine pediatrician appt that would be under $200 self pay and FULLY covered by insurance had they submitted it as requested.
  2. They verified that my first statement was not send until May 22nd. I NEVER was notified of any billing/insurance issues prior to that.
  3. Pediatricians’ office confirmed Medica on file for December 2025. Patient portal shows it as active insurance for that month.
  4. They won’t let me talk to any supervisors, they can only send requests for claim reviews. They won’t let me talk to any billing specialists past customer service reps.

Am I screwed? How do I work through this? We have so many other medical bills to pay. I can’t add a $1200 well child visit…

Newly diagnosed. Pregnancy issues

I’m 26 with a baby girl(infertility with her needed ovulation meds), a 5wk PUL, a baby girl, and now a 10wk MMC that ended in hemorrhage and emergency D&C. Both term pregnancies were high risk with Preeclampsia and IUGR. We always knew that I did not make healthy placentas, but last week found out that my father is a homogeneous carrier, which means I’m at least a heterogeneous carrier. We are waiting for my body to heal from this loss before bloodwork, but I’m curious what my next pregnancy would look like?

With my history, will they likely for sure do blood thinner shots? When would I start them? Should I push for them? Do I need to see my MFM before conception, or a hematologist? There’s so much information floating around out there. My dad’s Dr made it seem like this wasn’t a big deal at all, but to me it seems like the answer to all of the pregnancy issues I’ve had.

Looking for any advice!

Anora genetic testing abnormal delay

Hi, I recently had a 10wk MMC and have been waiting about two weeks for my Anora genetic results. Today I spoke with Netara and they said my sample required extra analysis, and that they had “several lab techs looking at it and working on finding an answer for it”? The representative couldn’t give me any details, but said to expect a longer than normal processing time and to have my dr call to get further details on the “situation”.

I’m very confused. I know sometimes post miscarriage tests can’t be fully performed due to one reason or the next. But the representative said this was “unusual” and recommended that my dr call in. I’m very nervous now. Has anyone had any experience with something like this?

Break my heart and confirm these roosters :(

My Splash Ameraucana and my Easter Egger. My two most beautiful birds, who I am 90% sure are both roosters. We have a known Buff Orpington rooster who is in charge, he’s been crowing for awhile. But yesterday we heard someone new crowing. We think it was one of those two, the first one I’m 99% sure is a rooster. The second acts more like a hen, he’s my daughter’s favorite so I’m hoping for a hen…

9wk MMC-repeat scan?

On Friday I went for my 9wk 4day scan and baby measured 9wks 1day with no heartbeat. I was devastated and immediately started the conversation my OB about management options. I didn’t ask for a rescan, but she also didn’t offer one. It was an abdominal scan. The tech looked for about 5min.

After doing some reading, it looks like I should get a transvaginal scan for complete diagnostic confirmation. I’m calling my OB tomorrow as we decided to go the medicated miscarriage route, and I plan on asking if we need a repeat scan to be sure. I know it’s already pretty definitive, I’m not looking for miracle stories, but for future me’s peace of mind, how strongly should I push for a transvaginal scan?

This is my first later loss, I’ve had a 5wk PUL.
