Security not the best this year

Anyone else concerned with how easy it was to get into the con?

I legit just had to show both sides of my badge while walking past them, I could have had a fake badge for all they know because they just glanced as I walked by to make sure it was for the correct day. Usually with the metal detectors they stop me for my tweezers or even my glasses case but this year they didn’t. They didn’t even look in my back bag. This was like 2pm on Friday and Sunday so it wasn’t like there were a lot of people coming in at the same time as me.

Idk I just feel like if someone had a fake badge they could have came in easily while we all had to pay and if they had anything illegal/dangerous on them it wouldn’t have been checked.

Looking for large lashes

I keep seeing makeup looks that I like but I can never find where everyone is getting large lashes from. I’m taking like big, thicc lashes. If anyone knows where I should be looking for lashes like this that would be so helpful!

Looking for a 70s goth vibe

I’ve been trying to figure out what sub genre I should be looking at in order to look for outfit ideas for how I want to dress. I added some photos to this post to show what I’m going for but it’s basically 70s but alt. I don’t want whimsy goth tho, just black and white. I’m obsessed with vests and bell bottoms atm but I can’t really find outfit inspos I like besides the ones in this post, could anyone help?

Edit: these aren’t photos of me, these are inspo pics I got off Pinterest

Where to sell feet stuff without a subscription?

I’ve been struggling with money lately especially after paying for my college semester and I’ve been trying to find places to sell feet pics/videos, shoes, socks, etc. all that jazz. Every time I finally find a site that someone online recommended in a comment section online it’s something with a subscription. That or it’s someone on TikTok saying “message me for how I do this!” And then they send you their course to buy on how to sell stuff like that.

I just need to make quick cash, doesn’t even have to be a lot, I just don’t want to have to pay for a subscription in order to do so.

Is there anything fun to do after 5pm?

My bf and I are attending all 4 days but we can’t really find anything interesting after 5pm. Does anyone know anythings happening at night that we may not be seeing? It’s his first time attending and I swear I remember this con having more things to do when I went one year during November but this is my first time attending since they switched it to summer.

Why is it so hard to find cute red ita bags

I’ve been trying to find red ita bags because I would LOVE to make one for Caine from TADC but I feel like I can barely find any and when I do find one that is red ita don’t really like the style. I might just be looking in the wrong places but I can’t find any good red bags, I can find black bags with red accents but I want red to be the main color

Ita bookbag

I’m starting to get into ita bags, in the past I’ve thrown random pins onto bags but this semester I want to make a shark ita bag. Only issue is I can’t really find bookbag ones unless it’s from Amazon and I’m not sure if it’s good quality. I’m a college student so I do unfortunately need a bag that’s pretty sturdy and not a small hand bag. I am going to get hand bag/mini bag ones for other things like characters and ships I like but since I’m interested in being an aquarist I want to decorate my school bag with sharks.

Does anyone know where I can find larger bags? I prefer a back bag instead of a messenger bag because it hurts my shoulder really bad having it on just one shoulder especially since i got those big boy textbooks.

What is the exact career title I’m looking for called?

Hello, so I figured I should ask here but a career I’m interested in is the one where you go into tanks at aquariums to clean them and feed the animals. I’m not exactly sure what the position is called but it’s something I’m really interested in at the moment. I want to know what the correct title is called so I can find out what exact qualifications I need in order to pursue it.

Video taken by me at the New England Aquarium last year as reference to what I’m talking about

Edit: Thank you everyone for your answers. Although it seems to be mostly a volunteer thing I did get some suggestions on similar jobs and other info. While I would like it as a career I’m totally okay with it being low pay/volunteer work, just as long as I can do it! I’m really interested in doing this one day once I get proper training and licensing :)

Hi, I’m 24 years old and this is the second time I’ve been in credit card debt in a year due to shopping. First time I was in 5k debt between my two credit cards and this time I was close to it. At one point before having credit cards I spent 8k of my savings on shopping.

I have bipolar so it happens when I’m having episodes but I don’t realize I’m having them until it’s too late. Yes I go to therapy and I am medicated but I feel like it helps every other aspect of my life besides this ONE issue.

I go to (big name brand store close to me) for like 1 or 2 things and end up leaving spending $300. I don’t know why I can’t stop, it’s not like I have the money to spend. I pay for college out of pocket, I have to pay 3k out of my pocket every semester so having a shopping addiction on top of my college and bills is like living in hell.

I paid off 1 credit card and have them both locked as I’m paying this second one off so I’m not tempted to use it. But I know as soon as the amount gets low enough it’s going to happen again.

I want to stop. I want to no longer be in credit card debt. I want good credit. I want to move out and live with my boyfriend. I want to go on vacations with friends and family. But I feel like this addiction has taken over my entire life. It feels like I’ll be stuck for my entire life spending money I don’t have.

This addiction is so embarrassing because wdym everyone my age is out going on trips or doing things interesting with their money and I’m over here with crap I don’t even need. My boyfriends family invited me to go on vacation with them next January and he said I should save 1k but I feel like I can’t do it, I feel like I’m going to keep spending that I can’t save money. I’ve barely been able to save money for college because I’ve been resorting to taking my college savings to pay for things since my credit cards are locked.

If any of you have anything that works for you PLEASE tell me. The only thing that semi worked is taking a physical paper list with me to go shopping for essentials so I avoid getting things. I did get a few things but I didn’t spend as much as I usually do so I hope this method stays working but I need any advice anybody is willing to give.

Hello! So I’ve been addicted to shopping and have maxing out my credit cards because of it. I’ve maxed out 2 credit cards twice within a year (I know it’s bad), but I was wondering if I could fix all this by: finish paying off the cards, not spending on it so I can pay it off faster, and then closing the cards after they’re paid off.

I used to have a credit score or 735 but now I’m at 661 (just went up from 585), and for 1 card the APR is 27.49% while the other is 25.24% which I’m assuming isn’t great. I just don’t want to screw myself over more by closing it after paying them off if I shouldn’t be doing that. I don’t understand how all this works. I just want decent credit.
