Getting rid of social media did wonders for my mind but it damaged a lot of my friendships

has this happened to anyone else? Its definitely a case by case thing but you could actually say it was a blessing in disguise. If it wasn't going to survive by not having social media then it probably needed to die.

however ive also found that it makes the act of MAKING new friends a lot harder. Ive been thinking about getting instagram just for social reasons and never going on it other than that but it feels like a slippery slope

Worried about sale ending

So I currently reside abroad (brazil) but my steam account originated in the US and the location continues to be connected to the US (i prefer it this way) and I only just started using humblebundle.

I have an issue wherein I purchased a steam key for resident evil 4 remake gold edition on sale for 20$. turns out because i am in brazil i guess they may have given me a brazilian steam key? (im not actually certain, this is just the best i have to go off of right now) because when I tried to input the steam key I had purchased, I got a message saying "Sorry, but this product is not available for purchase in this country, Your product key has not been redeemed"

I submit a customer support request 3 days go, I know they dont work weekends so im taking that into account too. But I just checked the current average response time (its 13 days) and im pretty sure the sale i snagged will be over by then.

do you think theyll still exchange my key after the sale has already ended? sorry for rambling a bit im just a bit annoyed lmfao

Which silent hill game do you think would be best for a live action adaptation?

Either as a movie or some sort of mini series or show.

Ignoring the ones that already exist and assuming you think any of them could fit as live action adaptations ofc.

Clean slate, which game are you picking?

Me personally as of rn I think silent hill 4

I still think that Spiderman Shattered Dimensions is the best spiderman game.

I recently took to replaying or otherwise revisiting some spiderman games, and rn im currently replaying through insomniacs spiderman 2.

Now I haven't played every single spiderman game, but I have played a somewhat decent amount (not just the insomniac ones) and while I love all 3 of the insomniac spiderman games, replaying 2 gave me a bit of burnout after a little while. Theres something about the formula that feels a bit dull after long periods of time in my opinion.

A little while ago I also decided to revisit spiderman shattered dimensions (a childhood favorite of mine) and this could very well be the nostalgia talking but I still think this game is phenomenal, and after some thought I think that I overall would consider this to still be my personal favorite of the ones I have played.

Despite it being a lot more linear, its just so much fun and has so much personality packed into it. Each of the spidermen with their distinct gameplay and aesthetics makes it so that one level after the other feels fresh even when youre alternating between spidermen. The way they all interact with the world differently and the wildly different bosses they all face.

To me the crown jewel of the game are the noir levels (it was also my first exposure to spider noir) I could seriously play an entire game of JUST the spider noir levels. the shift to being a quasi horror stealth game was so cool.

Theres so many cool unlockables and interesting boss fights and gameplay mechanics. Its seriously a crime that this game is pretty much abandonware at this point. I feel like this is the spiderman game that I get the least tired of.

thoughts? whats your favorite spiderman game? lmk and also lmk what you think of shattered dimensions!

bald is not always better than balding

the idea that being bald is always better than balding gets parroted around a lot, and i do think that for many this is true but i do not think that its a universal truth.

im gonna use george costanza as an example here. ik its a bit of a funny one but try to take it seriously. I think he would have not looked better had he shaved his entire head bald. he wouldnt have looked BAD but just not better. as a matter of fact i think he looks quite nice with his hair being in the balding shape that it is.

theres other examples where this is the case but you get the idea

I am going to get torn to shreds for this but whatever im sticking to my guns. This is my genuine and honest opinion

Ashley is the most redeemable character in the show and the amount of hate she gets is ridiculous .

Ashley is the most redeemable character in this show. im not trying to pivot her as the good guy in a show thats very clearly about troubled characters but i have seen so much hate for her online that its beginning to become mind boggling. between josh, lindsay, austin and ashley, ashley is easily the most justified in the things she does. im not saying shes RIGHT all of the time but she is certainly the most understandable imo.

people comparing the death of that shitty little dog (which wasnt even intentional btw) to her losing a fucking organ (which josh purposefully withheld medical treatment for btw) is genuine insanity. josh knew she was in agony and tried to trade a doctor’s visit for the blackmail video. he fully deserved to have his oj spiked with blood idc. and i dont give a fuck about burberry either. losing a pet is sad but ashley literally lost a part of her body because her boss was bartering with her health.

Also lets not forget that josh is a criminal who was 100% going to pin all that embezzlement and fraud on ashley and austin. he used his dead mom's name to steal money and then put ashley in that position specifically so she’d be the one holding the bag. he’s a calculated snake and yet people think ashley is the villain for wanting a deductible covered?

and then there’s austin, who is the ultimate self-serving, spineless piece of shit. he emotionally cheats on ashley almost the entire show and tries to wrap it in some bullshit "spiritual journey." he talks all this game about wanting to "reconnect with his korean side," but it was so obviously just a cover because he was into eunice. the show makes this blatantly obvious. He thought the grass was greener with a woman be barely knew, because he can't handle not feeling like hes saving a damsel in distress. even worse, he abandoned eunice the second his little fantasy was shattered. he used her for his "justice" plan, but as soon as she shattered his little fantasy, he left her to die.

He doesn't have a moral compass. idk how nobody saw past this. it was HIM who convinced ashley to do the blackmail to begin with, and the only issue he took with it is that he didn't get more out of it personally. Hes a bum who only works part time, he starts to resent ashley even more once she moves up at the club. and the ONLY REASON he was able to even score a high level physical therapy position there WAS BECAUSE OF ASHLEY

Lindsay is completely irredeemable in every way. i had 0 sympathy for her the entire show. she was literally extorting woosh by threatening to accuse him of sexual assault if he didnt do what she wanted. she convinces women to get plastic surgery just for money (and ropes ashley into it on the promise of getting a good doctor for her IVF) and she almost cheated on josh multiple times. she is the most selfish, gaudy character in the entire show. shes completely self destructive and brings everyone else down around her and she did not deserve as good of an ending as she got. She openly admits to having made everyone bully a guy for no reason and also admits to forgetting about joshs moms meds 😭 like come on bro

and despite everyone calling ashley "dumb," she’s the only one who actually figured out the money laundering and saw through everyone’s bullshit while all she wanting to do was actually work and be helpful. even when she got the position she wanted, she genuinely just wanted to work and do a good job.

Is ashley blameless? no. she does bad things throughout the series, im not denying that. but MOST of the bad things she does are 1000x more understandable than the other characters.

Bottom line: if youre more mad about a screen door being left open than a woman being medically gaslit until her organ dies, you need to check your priorities.
