I applied to United in feb at EWR and havent heard anything yet. It is still under review and my other app for other jobs at united have already been denied. Is this a good thing? Maybe there waiting for them to hire again to move forward with it. I have also applied to other airlines and places in teterboro to no avail. I really want to start in this industry but I cant seem to crack the ice? Anyone in this reddit work in nj and can give me insight on how to get in??

Im flex pt and my site has started offering vto for tm and thurs for the shifts i picked up. Is it supposed to be slow? Did they hire too many of us?

So orientation went today. The payroll clerk showed us a tour and we saw our manager didnt meet but i guess she said come in tomorrow and sunday for training 1230-530pm. I can come in tomorrow on time but theres no way on sun i can get there at 1230. You think shed make an acception bc it was in the moment and i didnt know ahead? I will ask her or him tomorrow..

Edit. what if i say i gotta put in my 2 weeks at my other job. you think it would help??

Update: i got lucky. training tomorrow is optional. my schedule is gonna be mon-fri 2-7pm so yea

Got my orientation date of this friday. The lady told me I could wear shorts? Should I? I am kind of thinking about it with a tucked in polo shirt and shoes. Do we get our schedule there too?

So we had two tranings dates yesterday 12:30-8am and today 330-11am. Now thag we can pick up shifts (im flex pt) will the 330 to 11am shift drop at all? I like that shift a lot better than the first day.

To those who want to know how to get a job at Costco. You just have to be proactive! Costco doesn't respond to applications online unless they are very shorthanded. You have to either call, or go in person and ask if they are hiring and tell them you have an open schedule and you can do any position. Timing is also key, but if you keep trying you are bound to get an interview at some point. This is from the guy that just did these steps and am now waiting on a screening to clear and orientation to start. Any questions dm me.

somehow, someway, (still in shock tbh) I have an interview scheduled this Friday at a Costco business center. Those who work at Costco's what are some of the questions you remember them asking in the interview?

Is it all just timing? Do you have to know someone? How do you know if a position is open online? Better to just go in and introduce myself?

Also can you wear shorts or nah?? Is there decent amount of VET at sort centers? I used to work at amazon fresh until they laid me off will they use my same alias and will my tenure continue??
