so this video is gaining some traction on tiktok and it’s making its way on X and reddit too, and now lara is apparently starting to get hate. from my understanding, orlando (lara’s boyfriend who she supposedly met at a party through D4VD) previously dated egyptian singer jana diab. as seen in the video, the pair posted a tiktok to ‘touch’ and KATSEYE reposted, then 2 months after, orlando and lara had matching tattoos.

i have already seen in the comments on tiktok, and on reddit and X which i wont share except from the ones on tiktok — that she’s the one getting most of the hate from it, i think especially because of the recent interview where the girls spoke about what they would do in the situation of a ‘gabriela’. i can’t post the comments because i uploaded a video, but it’s stuff like ‘he fumbled,’ ‘oh she’s the gabriela’ et cetera. i don’t think the girls need any more hate at the moment, there has been so much brewing and i genuinely feel it’s too much, and super unfair. also, a lot of eyekons generally dislike orlando for their own reasons whether it’s his looks (which i disagree with as you shouldn’t hold that against someone), his weird posts, or his age in comparison to lara’s, however this is not reflecting greatly on either of them.
i also wanted to post this because i thought it was interesting he dated another singer before. i know he’s in the music industry too, but on a smaller scale. people are already saying he’s a clout chaser and social climber 🤷🏼‍♀️

before anyone comments ‘who cares,’ you don’t have to care. it’s just unfortunate there’s a girl who is going to get hate because she’s in a relationship with someone. she’s over 18, and has her own free will and there’s nothing that indicates she homewrecked this relationship at all.

where do creators like brian and jas get a kick out of posting stuff that they have no idea is true or not, just because they saw some person on twitter post about it, or because they ‘have sources’?

for context, i saw this come up on my feed that katseye have apparently bought ‘in between’ by gracie abrams and i don’t particularly like her as an artist but i did love that song so when i heard it i was like, ok period! i think it could fit in similarly to some of their SIS stuff, and if they put their own spin on it it would be fun. anyway, come to find out the original user on twitter lied about it, legit just for the banter.
yoonchae and sophia just posted dancing to a gracie song today which is what made the rumour even more believable tho (the original post on twitter was made yesterday i believe).

anyways this is your sign to not believe anything these drama influencers say as they clearly don’t check their facts. as for jas, i’ve seen multiple times her say she’s got ‘sources’ that so and so will happen and it just doesn’t lol. thought i would post this here before someone gets confused and uploads it thinking the song was actually bought.

this was sent to my email for the gabriela anniversary. it’s very small but i’m just happy that manon is there and im seeing 6 members, its very refreshing. after seeing 5 for so long and having so much uncertainty as well, this definitely feels great to see. i’m sure if hxg made the choice the promote gabriela as ot5 there would have been some very heavy backlash, so good call from them here.

of course we have no idea if manon is coming back yet, but with her recent weverse, and appearance seemingly with the girls or team at the ariana concert and now this — im optimistic. also there were ot6 photos in one of the katserralit videos for iconic by mistake which i thought was really cute.

hope we don’t get radio silence for manons birthday, because it’s going good so far!!

i think i’m happy, sophia’s comments were supporting but they didn’t really confirm anything. i think she probably just isn’t allowed to say anymore, but i hope we find out soon enough what is going on
what does everyone think?

okay before i say anything, i don’t want this to come across as snarky towards any of the members, because they performed as professionally as they could. my issue is completely with the styling and team decisions.

for the majority of it, i loved the look of the gov ball outfits. the outfits really reminded me of the SIX musical, they were fun and were really giving this new era, however after watching some of the performances especially pinky up and gnarly, i felt like the outfits weren’t only just revealing — but actually impractical for the choreography. people usually complain about the outfits, and usually we will all go back and forth on what is appropriate or not in the pop industry HOWEVER, there is a very big difference between an outfit that is stage secure (especially with the dance heavy stuff they do) and an outfit that makes the members look they are struggling or careful with every angle.

i think sophia stood out to me because in comparison to lara’s, in the gnarly choreo where they bend over, the bottom coverage looked so much closer to a thong than proper stageware and there was complete lack of protection. it actually looked there was a lot of her lower region that was exposed and that should never ever be happening on a festival stage with hundreds of cameras and fans literally at every angle.

and i’m not blaming sophia at all. i feel bad for her and the whole of katseye because they shouldn’t have to worry about whether their outfit is protecting them while doing choreo that is bending, turning etc.

also another thing i have seen is that some of the pieces look different on the members compared to from the original designer and on the mannequin. from the comparison photos, the skirts/bottom pieces look like they have been adjusted to sit much shorter. obviously i don’t know what exactly they did to the pieces but there is a pretty obvious difference bergen the original fit and how some of the outfits ended up looking during the performance.

i know daniela has said before she likes things being cropped, low waisted etc like in the MAMA performance BTS but i feel like this is taking it way too far, and because of the lack of protective layers as well it really isn’t secure at all for the girls.

by the way, i don’t think revealing outfits are automatically bad. the issue is whether they are actually secure and practical.

i don’t know what is being pushed with their team, but these girls really deserve something that lets them perform confidently without the risk of exposure because that would be very, very bad.

edit: just to clarify i think my post may have come across as too similar to other posts — my main point here was the comparison between the designer version of the outfit and how they appeared at gov ball.

from some of the comparison pictures, most obviously daniela, sophia and lara, the bottom pieces have been noticeably shortened. that’s why i brought up the safety issue, because the stage versions seem like they may have been altered or fitted in a way that made them less functional for choreography which was clearly seen with sophia.

hellooo, i just wanted to post some info and open discussion about the upcoming song hootie frutti because ive been doing a little digging into it.
i think i speak for a lot of people when i say this title looks… worrying to say the least. it sounds like the same kind of hyperpop/gnarly vibe that so many of us are begging katseye to move away from and try something else.

however, on my deep dives i’ve found this:
- one of the writers (Amanda Renee Ibanez) registered into ASCAP has also worked on a few other projects that give a little bit of promise such as easy and different by lesserafim, ruby by jennie, TYLA by tyla, VENUS by zara larson etc. she has also worked on soft is strong and beautiful chaos as well, so take that as you will.
what is slightly worrying is she has done multiple kidz bop projects… but i hope that has no impact here.
- for the last writer (Rachel West) ive found again lots of promising stuff such as working with a diverse group of people like TWICE, XG, GUNNA, machine gun kelly, yeonjun, etc. https://genius.com/artists/Rachel-west/songs

- with Daniela Gonzalez, there was nothing of note as it was all latin songs that i have no knowledge about.

at the end of the day, it all depends of the brief given to the writers and they just have to make it happen, but this is kind of giving me the hope that it’s not gonna be so bad. i guess this post has just come from me being a bit bored and just too much spare time😭

another thing i also thought was kind of funny, was an EX- hybe x geffen star Naarjesse just came out with a song called tutti frutti in may which i’ve inserted in the screenshots. i think this is probably just coincidence but it’s kind of funny the titles sound so similar. it’s a little like when adela released machinegirl and SOME people got slightly annoyed at the lyrics because of the katseye song thinking ‘mean girl, mean girl’ was a response.

but yeah, let me know what you guys think. do the credits and previous projects make you feel more optimistic or does the title still concern you?

soo new clip from GNTM, and manon is introduced as from katseye. as we suspect currently, this was filmed prior to the hiatus so it would make sense for hybe x geffen to want to wait for this to release before a statement comes out about her exit from the group — if she is leaving.

i guess this begs the question if she is leaving, and if she is, will an announcement be coming soon?

i think this is kind of interesting because it highlights the disconnect between the pre-recorded media, collaborations and even brand deals the whole group has going on and whatever is happening in real time. a lot of international promo appearances, TV segments like this, magazines shoots like nylon etc are all planned ahead so companies in these situations either:
- let the content release as originally intended
- quietly edit around certain members (the current tour promo video)
- delay/ cancel the content entirely

and in this case i guess it just went ahead with no changes which makes sense because im not sure how much input hxg have in this matter.

i also want to add that she looks so happy talking about katseye here, and this is just crazy because it makes us think what the hell happened in that short period of time? clearly she knew nothing about the hiatus here.

but anyways, personally i don’t really think this confirms or debunks anything by itself — if anything it just shows that older content is still continuing to roll out normally right now despite everything happening online.

just saw this video on tiktok. crazy how she’s had her bracelet for so long and it’s broken after all of this drama. it’s protected her from so many things.

whether you choose to believe in the superstition of the jade bracelet or not, it is still is so coincidental that it broke after so long and right now. bless her. she’s going through so much right now and i’m sure this isn’t the end of it :(
