Discord?
I’m 21F. I honestly don’t have friends to play with. I’m thinking of making an 18+ discord for people who would wanna chill, talk, and maybe play together. Would anyone be interested?

I'm honestly just curious what everyone's favorites are. Doesn't have to be the scariest, just something that you enjoyed a lot. Mine is probably Little Nightmares (1 and 2) because the puzzles are fun it's tense and creepy.

Y'all what the heck... so one school I've gone through the onboarding process basically without being officially given the job, now another school wants me to onboard with them? Though one is a "assistant color guard director" position and the other is a "color guard advisor" position. Do any of you work with multiple guards? I know it's a thing in my area. How do you make it work? Do schedules conflict between the guards often?
Hello! This summer I’m going to be marching drum corps. So I’m going to be living with my fellow performers for about a month, which would consist of training, rehearsing, and performing. My typical products are always pads during the day and Bambody period underwear at night. I also have a fairly heavy flow, like sometimes I have to change my pad once every hour or two, other times I can push it to 3-4 hours. However, I can’t do my usual routine with the period underwear to keep them good during that time (soak in cold water with a tiny bit of detergent until the next wash to keep them from getting stiff). I’m debating if I should get disposable period underwear for this. What’s your advice? For any of you that have done long trips like this (including but not limited to those who did drum corps), what did you do?
I have an update!

So I haven't officially been offered the job yet, but I applied for an assistant color guard director (won't say where for anonymity purposes), I've done the background check, I'm up for BOE approval (their next meeting is in 2 weeks), and I'm now being included on emails with only the staff, as well as with parents and students, and I've been invited to the BAND app so I'm confused. I think I have the job, I'm just missing the "official" thing. What's your thoughts?
Ok so my library is doing a summer reading program for adults. Basically for every book you read you get a raffle ticket, and the raffle happens in August. They are using ReadSquared for this. Have you guys used ReadSquared before?
I’ll go first.
Yesterday, a student who wasn’t supposed to be in my class came into my room. I told him multiple times to go back to his class, but instead he decided to moon the class.
I immediately kicked him out of the room and called the office. I did see him pull down the back of his pants, but I did not see any nudity myself because I was at the front of the room and my students were seated at the back (small room, class of only about 4 students). The students definitely saw what happened though.
Keep in mind, this is middle school.
Hey! I’m a member of Legacy Drum Corps and we’re still looking for guard and brass for this summer.
Our 2026 show is called Intersection and it includes music like Nelson’s Rocky Point Holiday, Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now, and Holsinger’s Ballet Sacra. It’s kind of a mix of different styles/eras with reimagined classic material.
We’re still filling out sections before move-ins, so there’s still time to join if anyone’s looking for a summer group.
If you’ve got questions about experience level, auditions, or anything else, just drop them in the comments.
Does anyone else get sore or tender feet from standing/walking around all day as a substitute? if so what do you do to help it?
I love survival horror. I’m currently playing through Resident Evil, which is awesome, I love Dead Space, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Little Nightmares, and Until Dawn among others. I’m also interested in Outlast, Amnesia, and Alien: Isolation. Can you guys give me some recommendations for games playable on Xbox series X?
Ok so I work with Swing Education. I have since October. I had Hero Status for a while. But then I recently lost it with no explanation. I’ve had no negative feedback, I consistently show up on time, I rarely cancel, I have never no-showed, and I report any mishaps that happen throughout the day. I asked the chatbot and it said it “recalculated” and it’s hard to get a hold of real people there. Maybe anyone here who has worked with Swing can help shed some light on what might’ve happened?
Hi! I’m looking to play the first game in the Fatal Frame franchise (I wanna get into the series, and I figure 1 is the place to start). I have an Xbox series x. Where would I be able to get the game for my console? From what I can tell it’s unavailable on the Xbox store, Steam, and the disc isn’t backwards compatible.

Hi! So I was wondering what you all do when the teacher leaves no sub plans. It has happened to me a few times at this point, like I’m talking searched the entire classroom, had kids check whatever digital platform they use, and just nothing. Usually I’ll tell them to read a book or do work for other classes or something, but even that doesn’t always work. This can lead to it occasionally devolving into chaos. What do you guys do?
What are the absolute necessities to bring for drum corps? Like things you wouldn't think of initially, but you really need?
Edit: ps, I'm a color guard.
I ended up not making either the Caballeros or the Hurricanes. However, I got an email from Legacy Drum Corps. I think I got in, however it doesn't mention anything about a contract, so I wanted to ask what you guys think. Here's the email:
I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Legacy Family. For most of you, this will be your first experience in the drum & bugle corps activity, and I truly hope it begins a lifelong love for what we do.
This activity, which I began at 12 years old, has led to lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. I hope the same for all of you. Our organization will do its best to help you begin your own legacy in this activity and build life skills.
We created Dream Performing Arts in October of 2023 with plans to debut a winter guard, indoor percussion, and drum corps program.
Our first year in SoundSport will give everyone a taste of what’s to come as we ascend toward Open Class and, ultimately, World Class status in Drum Corps International.
As we travel down this road—both literally and figuratively—I want everyone to remember that you are laying the foundation for this organization. One day, we will all look back with pride on what we’ve accomplished both on and off the field.
I look forward to meeting all of you and seeing your smiles after coming off the field as you build your Legacy.
I'm a massive Stephen King fan. I love psychological thrillers, mythology, horror, and fantasy. I recently read American Gods, Silence of the Lambs, and Percy Jackson. My all-time favorite book is Misery. Any genre would be great, but horror is my favorite.
Edit: forgot to add: I also like the occasional graphic novel/comic. Some favorites include Batman: Under the Hood and Harleen.

Edit: thank you so much for your responses, I now have enough thank you.
Ok so thank you for those that gave advice. I wanted to give you an update:
I auditioned for the Caballeros via video audition. Didn’t make it. Honestly, they’re a very competitive group, so even though I tried I really didn’t know what to expect.
I did a delayed audition for the Hurricanes this past weekend (to make a long story short the students I tech for had an overnight field trip the same weekend as the original auditions, so I got in touch with the staff a few weeks ago explaining the situation, and they were kind enough to let me audition this past weekend). I got on really well with the staff and the members. I’m gonna be honest, I’m one of those people that whenever someone critiques me, I thank them and do my best to immediately work in whatever advice they gave me. I’m also a bit of a slow learner, but I think I showed improvement over the two days. I haven’t heard back from them yet so fingers crossed.
I also sent a video to a local SoundSport group just in case.
