New to BMWs GS 911 Question

I recently purchased a new to me 2023 S1000RR, and the first mod was to flash the ECU to cut the chains from the EPA restrictions.

My GS911 arrived and I would like to activate DRLs and a few other things. Will coding these changes via the GS 911 overwrite in any way the flashed ecu?

Thanks

Shift Light Settings 2023 S1000RR

I purchased a 2023 BMW S1000RR Premium as the second owner from a third party dealership. The dealership doesn’t know or have knowledge on whether or not the bike has been flashed. It came equipped with titanium Akra optional headers and a M Akra titanium end can. I’m trying to determine if it has already been flashed by the original owner. I checked to see if the servo motor was removed, and indeed it’s still intact with the cables removed. I’ve done a few pulls from down low up to 9K RPM and it pulls great, with no noticeable flat spots….if what I’m experiencing are flat spots, I’ll be afraid to think what a ecu tune would be like. It’s summer time in Texas so morning cold starts are at 80F, however, there’s no erratic idle issues at startup. My observations are that it initially idles to 2500 RPM smoothly and after 30 seconds it smoothly levels out to 1500 RPM.

I checked the menu settings and I can’t find anything that would provide signs that the ecu has been flashed. I’m familiar with Kawasaki’s where there were signs if its ecu was tuned, such as disabling traction control and after a restart traction control remains disabled. OEM behavior would turn traction control back on after a restart for safety/legal reasons, which usually points to a unmolested ecu.

My questions are if I select any of the race pro modes and turn the bike off and back on, does it revert back to road/dynamic mode, or is it standard behavior for race pro mode to still be the active mode after a restart. Also, I noticed that the shift light setting was set to begin flashing at 14.5 up to 15K, which is past the stock rev limiter. Is this indicative of the ecu being flashed, or in stock form the ability to raise the shift point beyond the OEM rev limiter standard?

My initial plan when I purchased it was to have the ecu flashed, but I‘d much rather avoid paying close to $1K if it has already been flashed. If I missed any other ways to determine if the bike has been flashed other than performing a ECU readout, I will greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks

Didn’t receive 1st Payment

I woke up this morning expecting my first payment for my disability but no deposit. If my start date is August 1st, I should receive my first payment today since the 1st falls on a Saturday…correct?

Rekordbox laggy in Performance Mode with DDJ FLX10

I recently purchased a FLX10 and have been using it with Serato/Djay Pro, however, since the controller is mapped 1:1 for Rekordbox I decided to give it a try. It took several days to convert my library of over 100K songs, to Rekordbox analysis process. Also I became familiar with navigating and tailoring settings to align with my style of playing. However, I noticed that doing simple things like moving from one playlist to another that there’s a significant lag/delay. For context I’m using a M5 MacBook Pro M5 Pro 18 core/64GB Ram, and it’s a beast of a laptop and I have never had issues with lag/delays/beach balling with the other dj softwares. I’m running the latest version 7.2.16 and everything works fine other than the lag when doing any kind of navigation while in Performance Mode. Is this just typical behavior for Rekordbox? I’m trying my best to like it, but if this is standard behavior, I’ll just stop using it and go back to my tried and true Serato DJ.

Reloop RP-7 and Reloop 5000 MK4

I own a pair of RANE Twelves MK2s and I’m in the process of picking up a pair of traditional TTs. When researching I’ve noticed that there’s plenty of content and reviews on the RP-7s, but I can’t find any real life content or reviews on the 5000 MK4s. Other than the platter size difference, on paper the RP-7 specs are virtually identical (Torque) to the 5000 MK4s.

Is there a reason why the 5000s aren’t getting the exposure and attention such as with the RP-7s? They are budget turntables that compete with the likes of the PLX-500s, but their torque specs exceed that of the industry big dogs, Tech 1200s.
