I didn't listen to you guys, and now I'm worried...

I had never even heard of this stuff until about two weeks ago. In my state, they've only recently made it illegal to buy and sell the leaf Kratom. I've taken kratom leaf for over 10 years for chronic endometriosis pain, so when I heard about the restrictions taking place on what I considered an innocent plant, I was so shocked and enraged I started doing doing research. That's when I learned it's being banned because of this 7oh stuff...

That made me angry, like I was just now learning about this secret evil side to the kratom I've always taken. I was feeling a cheated... All these years I've been taking this powder for the small amount of pain relief it gives me, and now all of a sudden it's being banned because somebody else is getting high off of that isolated feature? It was like I had the key to some awesome party for 10 years, but nobody had ever told me the address.

So it's actually BECAUSE of the ban that I...tried it.

I knowwwww. I'm such an idiot. I thought I could handle just trying it once. Plus part of me was thinking "well even if I do get addicted, it won't matter because soon it'll be illegal and the problem will solve itself!"

So I went to my seediest gas station and bought some. I popped half of a 10 mg tab.

Oh. My. God. I LOVED it. Instantly I went online and ordered a bottle of 50 20mg tabs... That was last week.

The past 2 days I'm up to 30mg morning and then 30 at night because it's stopped working as well. I get it now... This stuff is horrible... I haven't even touched my old kratom leaf since I got my tabs. Obviously there's no point... Why would I drink a beer when I just spent the day chugging vodka?

My question is, if I quit cold turkey after just taking for a week am I going to be in big trouble like all these horror stories I'm reading? I'm planning on not taking any starting now, but I'm definitely scared.

And should I just flush the rest of the bottle? I'd like to keep them around for a rainy day for when I have bad period pain or something. But I don't know if I'm strong enough not to go back to them after awhile...

Maybe I deserve any pain coming my way, but I'd at least like to prepare. Has anyone else tried it for only a little while? Will I be lucky enough to be able to just...stop? Thanks for any help, and seriously... my thoughts are with everybody that got into this drug and let it run their lives. How was this being sold in gas stations like candy...

I have alcoholic neuropathy, which has caused both of my legs to basically stop working. That means that most of me trying to lose weight is about food. What can I eat that will help me lose weight?

I was a pretty heavy alcoholic over the past few years and I also ate like garbage, which of course slowly caused me to gain more and more weight. Finally, a month ago my body just couldn't take it anymore I guess, so I fell down the steps.

I was then hospitalized and diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in both legs my left hand. That means that I can't run, jump, or go up steps without a railing or my cane.

When I got out of the hospital last month I was 225lb (female, 37, 5'5"). To be honest, I figured the weight would just sort of... come off since I haven't been drinking anymore and I barely eat. But I've only lost about 10 lbs, and that's kinda plateaued..... Before all this unhealthiness, I was one of those 20 somethings that could eat whatever they wanted and never gain a pound. So I've never really known how to count calories or even how to exercise really. And now that all of my movement is limited, I'm even more lost.

Part of me started thinking in order to burn more calories than I'm eating at this point is... to not eat! For the past two weeks I've been eating only one turkey sandwich a day after I get home from work. I'm still overweight! Is it the two slices of bread?? How do I lost weight of I can't move :(

I haven't worked out since I was young, now I can barely walk. Can I lose weight if I can't move?

Will Neuropathy Pain Ever Go Away

About a month ago I was put in the hospital with severe weakness and numbness in my legs in my left hand. At first I ignored it knowing that I was unhealthy and thinking I could just fix it by eating broccoli. But then I fell down the steps. So I had to go to the hospital and I was treated for peripheral neuropathy cause to a severe thiamine deficiency.

At first it was just numbness and weakness in the legs, but now I don't know if it's my nerves reawakening or what but my feet and legs are in constant severe agony. They have given me gabapentin for it but it's barely touching the pain especially at night.

I'm starting to be scared that this is going to be a permanent thing in my life, because it doesn't seem to be getting better. I can kind of walk now without a walker, so I guess that's progress, but that just makes the pain even worse.

I know this might be pretty specific, and I wasn't sure if this was the right place, but has anybody experienced this and if so, how long did it take you to heal if you ever did? Any tips or tricks to get rid of the pain? I've tried those lidocaine pads and they don't do anything.

Does the pain ever go away or is this just my life now?

I've lost a little weight, and I'm excited that some of my fat clothes don't fit. Keep them?

Should I get rid of those clothes or is that being too hasty? I know a few friends who got rid of their "fat clothes" then regretted it later and had to buy new clothes...

We've been engaged for 7 years, why won't he marry me??

Here's the full story. Me and my SO met about 8 years ago, and after a year he proposed. We've done pretty much everything a married couple does, we share bills, share pets, we live together and have basically since we got engaged. We are basically married.

I've asked him about this several times, because at the beginning I always told him that I was excited for a wedding. not a big wedding, but at least something cute where I could put on a pretty dress and have my Friends and family there, have my dad walk me down the aisle, etc.... But every time I bring it up, he blows it off and says "we're basically married, I got you the ring, I said I love you, what's the big deal? Why do you want to waste money on something stupid like that?"

So I've even offered to maybe let's just go down to the courthouse, we can invite my parents, your parents, our siblings and it'll just be small and cheap. But he still says no. It's been 8 years! Am I crazy, or is this something I should be worried about?
