Old man had to be shaved :(
I've kept his full coat forever but he keeps having skin issues, so off it goes.
Did I win the hitchhiker lottery?
I thought I only had one of these guys but two means I should have a bunch soon, right?
Little and Fierce
A flare and a strike from this little guy.
Truly inspiring
Daily reminder to tell my "self" to f off... 🙃
New light, who dis?
Picked up a light from reef casa to upgrade my deskmate
A mind squeezed past the point for any symbol to suffice, the word outleaps the world, and death becomes their life.
"The Boddhistava's edge is an empty blade that cleaves the world whole."
Sometimes stress can lead to legitimate experience and sometimes our minds create these experiences as a response to stress. How do we judge the former from the latter, and when does that judgement itself become a problem?
The post title and quote above popped in my head in the middle of a series of what felt like extremely stressful events and has stuck with as a way to encourage the peace of nonduality in my experience and wanted to share, and discuss if this inspires anything in anyone else.
Personal favorite coral pic I've taken so far.
Samsung phone with blue light clip on filter and some built in photo editor tweaks to bring it closer to human eye colors. (It's more orange than yellow to my eyes, but the colors are close and just as crazy.)
Hairy mushroom split
Corals are metal. Ripping yourself in half is insane. Very cool to watch.
8 weeks old
The snails and copepods seem to be keeping up with the diatoms. No major algae outbreaks yet. I'm sure hair algae, bubble algae etc will start showing up soon. So happy with how the corals are adjusting.

The Boddhistava's edge is an empty blade that cleaves* the world whole.
New plantimals
The firefish is mad from things being moved around. Small water change with the new coral, everyone seems happy.
Cultivating pods and phyto together.
I've kept this 1 gallon bucket of green phyto and tiger pods going for about a month. I end up needing to dump some every week or two because my tanks don't need that much. It's just a bucket, a light with a timer, an airstone and two big wads of filter floss. I make sure to swap out at least 30% of the bucket with fresh salt and check salinity. Super easy. I wonder how many kinds of different pods and phyto types you could keep going in a single "culture system."
