I know most people here have a get home bag and such but are there any other situations you prepare for?

I myself have a "mugger wallet" and phone prepped that I carry.

My normal wallet is tucked away in a little pocket that is barely noticeable. You'd literally have to be looking for it.

The dummy wallet has a bunch of old gift cards, one of those fake McLovin replica licenses and some prop movie money I found at one of those bin stores. The phone is just an old display phone.

If they were to actually open the wallet and go through it they would see it was obviously fake but in a quick situation where just tossing the wallet and the phone distracts them enough to get away it should hold up.

*EDIT: No, this wasn't some imagined, made up, as seen on TV BS. It actually happened. The guy made comments like, "Everybody else just leaves the groceries. Why are you talking to her?!?"

When I tried to explain the alcohol policy he got pissed off and said I needed to hurry the f*ck up and leave. He didn't need anyone seeing her dressed like that. They were arguing the entire time. Very stressful.

I'm just there to deliver your groceries, not get threatened by some insecure douche while you shake your thang in a thong.

I understand it's 100 degrees out but put something on long enough for the vodka delivery so your man doesn't have a meltdown.

Since about three months ago where I live there has been an influx of older men, mostly Hispanic, that have shown up in town dressed in rancher/cowboy outfits, complete with cowboy hats. There are NO ranches in the area. A few small family farms but nothing that requires anyone to dress like this.

A lot of times they are hanging out downtown, sitting at various businesses, sometimes from dawn until dusk. Other times they are out overnight. Always alone, never eating, reading, etc. Just sitting there for hours upon hours.

A few days after they started showing up there were several local businesses that began leaving their 'OPEN' signs on at very strange hours. Some of them would be on at 9pm when a business normally closes at 5pm.

There have also been a few businesses that have been closed since before COVID that will suddenly have OPEN signs on. You can see that these places are not currently in use, nothing has been opened in them, but at random hours the OPEN signs are on.

These 'cowboys' are nowhere to be found when these random businesses are 'open' but almost impossible to miss any other time.

Then after a few weeks of this they disappear for about a week and the signs aren't on anymore. Then they return for a few weeks and it starts again. They leave, it stops. They return, the signs happen again.

What can possibly be the explanation for something like this?

Specifically ones that have a lot of new outfits and quests/quest fixes.

Years ago my friend sent me a CD of random songs he was introduced to while in college.

This one particular song he had zero idea where/when/how he found it. We've been trying for a few years now to find anything about it and it's like it doesn't exist.

Sorry in advance for the vent session. Just had to get a manager involved for a S&D because the electronics employee refused to let me get a prepaid cell phone and card for a customer because "none of these phone plans work for me except Boost."

I don't care. That's not what the customer asked for. They didn't ask what cell provider you used. They didn't ask who I used. They didn't ask what provider was currently on sale.

They asked for a specific phone (which there were 5 in stock) and the unlimited prepaid card. It's not up to you what they get when they order. I shouldn't have to involve your manager to get the in stock specific items the customer asked for!

*ETA: This was for sure a Walmart employee. She has been with the company for over 25 years.

Basically title. I hate that I'll put so much effort into building up a settlement, making life as good as possible for my settlers and they just shit talk me whenever I walk by.

Are there any mods that make them more appreciative?

Are we able to disconnect from the Internet and still play and wait for the dust to settle from this update? I can't remember if we are forced to be online to play even when we have a physical copy.

I was playing my umpteenth playthrough earlier today and wondered if there were any possible Easter eggs or just small little tidbits that nobody has found or mentioned online.

In just the last couple hours I've started getting the YouTube freeze again that was previously happening several weeks ago.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? Are there any fixes?

*ETA: I've tried everything I can think of and nothing is fixing this. I even reinstalled without using an ad blocker and it froze 60 seconds in.

Guess I'm done with YouTube for awhile until a fix becomes available.

I have a friend that is visiting the USA from Europe for approximately 28 days. We're looking for a phone plan that he can use for the month that he's here. I have an old phone he can use but it needs a cheap and reliable prepaid plan for just that one month.

I keep looking at Walmart and various other stores but can't seem to find anything that would work for just a month without having to buy a new phone.

Any ideas on the best plan for this specific need? Thanks!
