SE DPP and staccato question

So I got the DPP I’d like to run it on my Staccato C2. Does anyone know if there’s any plates that will give me back my rear sight. I know there’s a few options out there, but I’d prefer to ask before I start blindly buying.

What was your first setup? How bad was it looking back?

So when you first started carrying and thought you had it figured out, how bad was it? When what your eye opening moment? I’ll go first.

Gun was a Ruger SR1911 full size all stainless steel. Holster was a Crossbreed Super Tuck. Belt was a Walmart leather belt. Honestly the setup worked, it was by no means good.
My “oh” moment was when I got a reinforced leather gun belt, and a TT Gunleather holster.

Who else prefers larger carries?

I see so many people with smaller guns. I’ve always preferred roughly G19 size.

Seeking some wisdom

So I recently had a major medical emergency (cancer sucks) which got me to thinking about what I’m leaving behind. So here’s the question I’m looking for a 1911 that I can enjoy the hell out of, maybe build up some, and when the time comes pass on to my son. I’m leaning towards a Springfield TRP or Operator. What others should I be considering? Price wise the TRP is the top of the budget.
