Scared of my Virtus GT going into limp mode. Also, what are the most trusted fuel pumps in Hyderabad?

Got my first service done on my Virtus GT at 1,500 km. Around the same time, I filled HP XP95, and since then the car feels different. I’m getting slight jerks while cruising at a constant speed, the DSG creep feels delayed when I release the brake, and the engine doesn’t feel as eager or punchy as before.

There are no warning lights, but reading about limp mode has me a bit worried. I switched to Indane XP100 yesterday to rule out bad fuel.

Has anyone faced something similar after the first service or due to fuel? Also, which fuel pumps in Hyderabad do you trust for XP95/XP100?

Profession vs Passion: Which niche would you choose?

Need some advice from creators.

I’m a software engineer at FAANG, so I can create content on DSA, system design, and software engineering.

But outside work, I’m genuinely passionate about cars and automotive engineering. I can talk about engines, vehicle dynamics, and explain complex concepts in simple ways for hours.

I’m confused about which niche to commit to. Should I build around my profession or my passion?

Also, I’ve never edited a video or been a confident speaker. How much should that influence my decision, and what would you do if you were starting from scratch today?

Drove my new Virtus past 1,000 km… now I’m stuck with a dilemma

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a Virtus GT plus sport and have already crossed 1,000 km. Volkswagen recommends the first service at 1 month or 1,000 km, whichever comes first

I need to leave for a road trip today that’s around 500 km, but my service center couldn’t give me an appointment until next Monday (4 days from now).

The car is driving perfectly fine overall, there are no warning lights, engine runs smoothly, occasionally hear slight squeaking noise when I apply brakes and there is light vibration for a few seconds after a cold start , then settles down completely

Would you:

  1. Go ahead for the trip and then get the service done after returning or
  2. Would you wait till the first service ?

Has anyone here crossed 1,500 km before their first service? Did your dealer have any concerns?

When I had a connect with service center, they told me that it is just a checkup rather than full blown service

I made this render for my Virtus GT. How can I achieve this look?

I made this render because I wanted to give my Virtus GT a bit more character while keeping it OEM+.

The main highlights are the illuminated VW logo and the white DRL strip across the grille connecting the headlights. I’d love to know if this is realistically achievable, what parts or fabrication would be needed, and whether anyone has done something similar on a VW before.

Any advice or shop recommendations would be appreciated. Attached the render for reference.

If this was your Virtus GT, what visual mods would you do first?

I have recently purchased Virtus gt plus sports in lava blue.

Above is the pic which I took after a rainy drive and yeah enhanced a bit using AI

Looking for ideas to make my Virtus GT stand out while still looking premium. Thinking along the lines of:

  1. BMW M4 lip spoiler
  2. Roof spoiler
  3. Lambo style push button start
  4. Batman ORVM covers
  5. Side skirts
  6. F1 inspired rear led light

What mods have you done that actually looked good? Photos and links would be appreciated.

Virtus GT DSG Owners: Is 11–12 km/l Normal for an 11 km City Commute?

Virtus GT DSG owners, what fuel economy were you getting before the first service, and did it improve after the first service?

My daily commute is around 11 km, with roughly 8 km on a free-flowing service road where I can maintain 50-60 kmph. During that stretch, the MID usually shows 13.5–14 km/l, but by the time I reach the office the trip average drops to around 11–12 km/l.

Are these numbers normal for a short city commute, or can I expect some improvement after the first service?

I am also a first-time DSG owner and a bit concerned about long-term gearbox longevity. In traffic, vehicles often squeeze into gaps ahead of me, so I sometimes have to brake suddenly. If I’m stopped for more than a couple of minutes, I usually shift to Neutral.

Are there any DSG-specific driving habits I should follow or avoid to maximize gearbox life?

Brand new Virtus GT windshield cracked today

I know this might sound silly to some people, but I genuinely feel heartbroken right now.

A week ago, I bought my dream car — a Virtus GT Plus Sport in Lava Blue. This wasn’t just another purchase for me. My parents weren't fully convinced initially, so I spent months researching, comparing options, watching reviews, and trying to justify the purchase. No matter what else I looked at, I kept coming back to this machine. Eventually, I went ahead and bought it, and honestly, I couldn't have been happier.

For the last 2 years, I've been driving to work on the exact same route in my father's car and not once did I experience something like this.

Today, after a stressful day at work, I was finally enjoying the drive home.

Then suddenly, a truck coming from the opposite side passed at high speed. Within a split second, I heard a loud impact. A stone had flown up and hit my windshield.

Now there's a crack running across the glass.
The car isn't even a week old.
I've barely driven 300 km.

I've been staring at the crack all evening

For people who have gone through something similar:

• Would you claim insurance or leave it as is?
• Will this crack spread over time?
• How did you get over that first "damage on a brand new car" feeling?

For those who own Virtus/Slavia, how common are stone chips on highways and city outskirts?

Need advice on replacing a high-interest family loan with something smarter

My father took a ₹5 lakh loan from my uncle at 24% annual interest without discussing the rate with me. It has been around 7 months now and the accumulated interest alone is \~₹70k while the principal is still ₹5 lakh.

Initially I was very upset because I only found out later how expensive this loan actually was. Apart from the financial side, it’s also starting to affect family relationships and mental peace.

I earn around ₹3.2 lakh/month in hand. My monthly mandatory expenses are around ₹1.3 lakh (home loan EMI, household expenses, etc.). We are also expecting a baby soon, so I want to clean this up quickly and properly.

My plan is:

  1. Take a lower-interest loan

  2. Immediately close the uncle loan

  3. Aggressively prepay within 3–4 months

I was comparing:

  1. Personal loan (\~9–10%)

  2. Loan against mutual funds (\~9.9%)

The mutual fund loan seems attractive because:

  1. easy part-prepayment

  2. no heavy foreclosure penalties

I can aggressively reduce principal quickly

My CIBIL is 806.

Would you recommend:

  1. Loan against mutual funds

  2. Personal loan

  3. Or something else entirely?

Advice needed on health insurance

Hello everyone ,

I have bought hdfc ergo health suraksha policy for my parents and using this from last 4 years, I have never claimed anything till now

Now today is the last date for policy renewal. I see that my policy has been migrated to optima restore and the premium is increased from 75k to 92k for every two years

When asked about the same on changing the policy or frequency of payment , they straight away declined saying it is not possible

I also have corporate insurance for my parents.

Is this premium justified when I already have corporate insurance , should I remove corporate insurance and just stay on this hdfc ergo policy ?

Would really appreciate any advice on this
