PE Backed Companies

This is my 2nd sale of a PE backed company.

My first sale, 6 months later everyone got replaced.

I’m in the waste management industry with one year as a manager. Should I start applying to roles now? Limited treasury roles near me. Or should I wait for the sale to finish, wait a few months for experience on resume and apply?

Previous jobs history
Job 1: 2.5 years
Job 2: 1 year
Job 3: 2.5 years
Job 4(current) 1 year 2 months

Does anyone have any personal experience with PE Backed Sales? What happened to your team after the sale?

CMA for mortgage payment

I just got a new mortgage. I set up my CMA account to use for auto pay. Auto pay day comes and rocket mortgage shows paid but 36 hours later still no debit withdrawal from my CMA to pay mortgage. How to confirm it’ll go through?

3 Year Wait

3 years later they called me up. Took me $12K and wasted 3 years of my life but now we got it. It’s insured and time to travel the world with it. Cheers

Fidelity Performance…

I want to show off my gains…

The performance chart is absolutely useless.

I withdraw funds all the time and move cash around. I should be able to see my performance based off gains only. I’ve had the account for several months and can’t even see 1W, 1M YTD. Etc. the chart doesn’t display any percentages except for 1D performance.

Its very pathetic and your IT team should be able to easily fix it…

Is there a way to see how i’m doing YTD???

Is the CMA worth it?

Is it worth it for FP&A / Treasury people?

My job will pay up to $1,000 of the $3K needed to get the certificate. Is it worth it to put up the $2K and grind for career advantages?

Anyone taken the CMA and has it helped your career? I’m weak in accounting only took two courses in college. My next role will be a senior manager in treasury or fp&a.

Switched from FP&A Analyst to Treasury Manager. Curious about long-term progression.

Quick background:

  • Went from $80K base to $113K + 10% bonus when I made the switch
  • 6 years total finance experience across multiple industries
  • 1 year in my current Treasury Manager role
  • MCOL area

For those of you in treasury: what did your salary progression look like? Is it relatively easy to move up to Senior Manager or Director level?

I've noticed treasury is a pretty niche function. A lot of Senior Manager and Director roles seem to sit open on LinkedIn with very few applicants. Curious if that's been your experience too, and whether you've seen people jump levels by switching companies vs. getting promoted internally.

Appreciate any insight.
