Possibility To Ask SWR Team A Question, OR Suggest An Experiment!

Hi guys. I have a question for you all.

I'm an "insider" and would like to ask you...

If you could ask the team anything or suggest any experiment, what would it be?

I can go on the website and ask on behalf of you Reddit users, and come back here with the responses if I get any! I paid for an insiders subscription on the SWR website. But I'm not really certain what to ask myself.

Thanks!
- Riley

*EDIT*

Thank you so very much for all these thought-out responses! I loved reading all of them. I've seen every episode of the show and have been following ranch happenings since childhood, and that's long before there even was a show. I'm sure many of you have as well. I'm glad we have this Reddit to discuss one of the most interesting places in the world. I lived in a place with incredibly similar happenings called Mount Desert Island in Maine, all our neighbors saw and had strange things happen to them as well. And it all seemed centered in the open fields and granite quarries around the island. Lots of magnetic disturbances there, too.

So I really hope they figure out the "mystery," and I'm sure your responses can help! It's more than I ever could have come up with myself. I'll come back with any answers I get from the SW Team, and I cannot promise I'll get any responses at all, but I'll credit everyone whose question I have asked.

Thanks again!

Who Do You Ban In Draft Pick?

Exactly as the question above states.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but now that we have some new mons I want the consensus!!

For me it's usually one of the newer more overpowered pokemon. For a while I chose scizor though because he isn't a common pick but if you don't check a great scizor player and they get some early steam you're kinda borked with how fantastic his kit is as both scizor and scyther. now it's mostly feraligatr because for the life of me I can't combat a great feraligatr main. some people can, and I can't. so he's my go-to ban.

What about you guys?? :) no wrong answers! It's all valid. Plus it's difficult to chose who to ban on-the-fly if you're a switch player due to the HORRIBLE ui!!

Mid Laners Plz Halp When Needed, Do Not Ignore Lanes For Farm All The Time

Anyone else encounter a lot of junglers/mid laners who almost never help lanes, especially lanes that repeatedly ask for help? this happens to me semi-frequently and almost always causes a loss for our team! when you ignore a lane and allow feeding to happen it's gonna be bad news. even if we switch lanes and all go to one, they're still getting the exp from dunking goals. it's just not great. and I know you really can't go back and forth between lanes all the time as a mid laner unfortunately, but it's good to at least make sure you help the laners who need it!

I hope the people who read this will pay attention when their teammates say "gather here" and "I need assistance," or whatever that one says lol. really, it absolutely sucks being in the perfect position for an assist and seeing the mid laner completely ignore the opportunity!

- eh :(
plz don't just farm 5ever and ignore lanes! early advantage means you can change the entire game! especially with stage 3 mons!!

Rant Post About Titans and NW Direction Taken By DC Recently (it really is a rant, but I just wanna know I'm not alone in this cause the new NW series is getting so glazed and I'm just...he could be replaced with anyone in that story and it'd make sense. It's not him anymore!)

Anyone else pissed about where DC is taking the Titans? I'm not into the new Nightwing after Taylor's run ended, either. It's reminding me too much of "Grayson" which imo had a pretty okay story but didn't like the art at all. And it also made Dick just so much more serious and less fun, while ramping up the stupid butt jokes. I mean some is fine but come on. It feels like the Titans are just caricatures now, and the recent New Titans series is kind of parodying that aspect, but the issue is that DC wanted the Titans to go in this direction... And now they want someone to write an issue about how the characters suck? It's not the characters in-universe we should be blaming here. That makes zero sense. It's like in The Other History of the DCU where they blame characters in-universe for racist and sexist editorial decisions. Like DC wants us to think they're so lefty now when they're just a capitalist mega-corp who doesn't give a damn. Literally piling their transgressions onto the ACTUAL characters and then saying "look we fixed it in-universe!" When that's not the fix. You acknowledge it as a company irl. Duh!

Ughhh. I was somewhat enjoying the new Titans series, and I hoped it would grow into something new and better over time. But now they've taken a completely new team of heroes and just said "well all the Titans iconic towers are gone, the Titans are broken up and chronically tokenized or whitewashed and OOC as all hell, and we replaced almost everyone with a completely new team no one who reads Titans gives a damn about!" And to top it all off, they've again taken one of Nightwing's successes away from Batman and turned it into a thing for Jason Todd. WHY? Honestly, this just sucks.

RIP TITANS!

*edit*

forgot to add but they fired Greg Cipes as BB's VA and that just sealed the deal for me...Greg says it's ableism and others say it was his kind of anti-science posts on social media, but I personally think ableism played a part at least somewhat, and that sucks. I also think it's kinda hilarious because that kinda stuff is what I imagine BB would actually do lol. It's just so stupid they'd fire him after everything he's done over that when there are actual rapists who still get hired at DC. it's some BS.

Please Help, Service Issues!! Change-Over BS!!

For pretext, I tried going to the local US Cellular store today with my caregiver (I have severe ME/CFS), and the line was out the door so we had to leave and go home. We are extremely rural and the next closest store is 45+ mins from home and didn't have energy to go there after driving 30+ minutes to get to this one in the opposite direction from the house.

So!

I try calling 611 and I get a message like I did earlier today when calling or checking voicemail... "Your prepaid service ends in July-" and I JUST PAID FOR THIS MONTH, it is JUNE!! It should still be active! And indeed, SOMETIMES I can make calls, OTHER TIMES I can't! I turn my wifi and cellular service on and off to no avail! Please assist! Is anyone getting this message too that blocks them out of calling or hearing voicemail?? I am so angry with this damn company!! And I ain't one but they're screwin people over who cross over to Canada on a daily basis or close to, because they're a huge chunk of the Us Cellular users near me and they just got hit with MASSIVE charges to but day-passes for Canadian service!!!

Disabled Trans Man Wanting Beard Advice, Long Post Due to Complicated Situation

Hi guys, I am trans, 26, and been taking hormones for about 4 years now. I have severe ME/CFS and I am mixed race black/white. It is very hard for me to trim my beard because I am so exhausted I cannot take care of myself, and my caregiver is not skilled enough to do it. Going to a barber is too much energy and stimulation for me. I am primarily bed-bound and only go out for doctor's appointments. My caregiver drives me everywhere, but that is usually not more than twice a month.

This is definitely not how I wanted my life to go, but here I am! I want some advice on my beard though. I wanted to give some background so you can see my situation better. I also have quite large breasts and have not been able to get top surgery yet, like 36DDD at least, maybe F. And I am 5'9 and weigh around 160-175lbs. I have larger masculine shoulders that are wide but a slim build overall, a small head and feet, and very small hands. Got a nice dumpy though. LOL! I dunno what the hell to do with my facial hair y'all. I think my beard fills out my chin area because I got a strong jawline but also a bit of an overbite due to some failed dental work as a kid and horrible TMJ. Also I got pretty big poofy head-hair on account of my blackness.

So I got a good beard and mutton chops going. I don't normally do anything to it. The most I've done recently was a very small trim using the scissors on my pocket knife in the car before a very minor surgery I had last week. Gotta look good for the doctors lol. It's like the only place I ever go! That was below my chin area. I got a very thin mustache, very thin. Not sure if I can really grow one. But I'm also not trying to, because I don't really like them whatsoever if I'm being honest. If those little hairs ever reach over my mouth line and I notice that, I do trim them back.

Then I do have a little tiny bald spot just underneath my chin. Honestly you can't see it unless you're literally underneath me so I'm okay with that. Not trying to be a Perfect Perry out here. I know this is an advice sub and some people can get super meticulous, but I have a very difficult life as it is to be stressing over the small stuff.

Really I just want some basic advice for maybe a better shape I could do with a trim, maybe a good length if I grew it any longer, and also I must say it is quite painful to the touch possibly due to ingrown hairs or the fact I have HS and possibly other skin conditions. There really aren't any dermatologists here (I live in possibly the most rural state so yeah) so I can't get it fixed soon unfortunately. Does anyone else get beard hair pain, especially black people, and how so you deal with this?

Umm... Hmm... I think that's about it! I was gonna include a funny cat photo too but womp womp reddit photo upload is too annoying for that. Just imagine I'm the catboy of your dreams /s lol. God. Anyways, my glasses also make my face look kinda weird so I also included some without them. Note that the last photo is less current so my face has changed a bit since then but not enough I'd say the average human being would notice much. Even after 4 years I am still changing daily.

If you guys give me some kind of pointers, I'd be willing to risk either trying to do it myself or go to a barber once to try it out. I cannot trim my beard regularly but maybe for a special occasion or to treat myself (and of course I'd have to hurt myself in the process but they do say beauty is pain ;;) I'd work on it and be happy with the results for a couple weeks until it fades. My beard grows pretty fast, like I can shave it all off to stubble (you cannot get all the stubble off without hurting my skin however thanks to the HS, and it barely works anyways since it's so thick, dark, and curly), and it will still grow back at least a centimeter in a week. Not kidding. I have a LOT of body hair as well, and it's mostly the same dark and curly rough stuff. When I wash my head-hair it's an afro but it's too greasy right now to be anything but a mushy mushroom. -_-;

So should I go long, short, is stubble okay, and how do I style a beard and afro combo without it being too top-heavy? :)

Why Game Why!?!?

Just started the game, on day three or-so, and had to restart because the game didn't explain what tarrs are AT ALL so I had ZERO IDEA how to face them, what they were, what causes them, etc.! I thought this was supposed to be some kind chill game! very pissed there was ZERO explanation about this!!! >_>;

I do wanna keep playing though cause this game is adorable. But my two biggest gripes so far are a HUGE LACK OF TUTORIAL and also the aspect ratio and turning and moving at least on switch are genuinely wonky and nauseating.

PS: fav slime so far is the tabby slime cause it's like my cat lol

Strange Photo Attached to Story About Recent Bombings of Bahrain and Kuwait by Iran

Hey all. I wasn't sure what other subreddit to post this in, so I'm sorry if it doesn't fit. But the photo attached to this post was featured in a slew of articles about recent bombings in Bahrain and Kuwait, by Iran's military.

The photo appears to depict some men, and possibly even children, floating on a makeshift raft. They are standing on the rafts and some are in neck-high water. All are in the ocean near the Straight of Hormuz. Ships can be seen in the background, presumably those who seek passage through the Straight.

The strange thing about this photo is that the only real context we have is the description. Yes, it's men on a "raft," or whatever that is. But of what nationality are they? What is the real context of this photo? Who took the photo? Why? What are the men doing? Did they come from the boats? Are they going to the boats? Are they attempting to avoid missiles by fleeing to the water? The "raft" seems like it's deflated, and why is that? There are so many questions here, and depending on the answers could add a whole new dimension to the conflict on the ground and citizen's general motivations.

I have reverse image-searched this photo and found every article using it to have nearly the same awful, not-description for what the photo is actually depicting.

Can anyone help here, and what are your thoughts on this? Personally I see this as failed journalism. Some breakup in communications. It's good there's a photo from the ground, but there is also VERY stark information in general from the ground, and this photo appears to be all there is. So every outlet is saying some differently-worded version of each other, next to this strange photo that doesn't even match the headline very well.

A Reminder About Respecting Others Experiences, In Light of the PGF Scandal

Even if the PG footage turns out to be a big ol' hoax, which is a darn shame although a very impressive hoax I must say and a fun one, I must remind the community that this does nothing to discredit everyone else's personal Bigfoot lore and sightings. I myself have had experiences in the woods of Maine, and no debunking of another man's footage can detract from that, can it?

So any talk about "humans want to believe in things," and "people will believe anything, it's sad" and whatnot... I mean just stop. I've seen it in the comments and it's so disrespectful to people who have had their own experiences. We just wanna know what this stuff is. And personally I think it's something more paranormal, and I know that's not exactly what this sub is about, but for people who do believe that that's okay too and I don't think disparaging people due to the PG footage's result is very fair.

Caregiver Is Not Very Giving

Hi, I'm a male age 26, so is my partner. We've been together for maybe 4 years now.

I'm very disabled by a horrible illness called myalgic encephalomyelitis. My partner offered to be my caregiver, and he has been paid to do it for over two years now. It's been generally a good deal for us because he doesn't have to go out and work somewhere else anymore.

Unfortunately we have a few relationship problems, well more than a few. But I want to discuss just one of them. That being his tendency to say "I'll do X later" when I ask him to do something, even something he gets paid for, such as taking out the garbage or doing the dishes, or sweeping the floors. And our house has gotten incredibly nasty because he doesn't really keep up the cleaning as he should. I cannot help almost at all, so I try not to make any messes or use dishes. I use paper plates and plastic silverware, and the water is not safe to drink here anyways so I always drink bottled water. I am also primarily bed-bound so I physically cannot make a mess anywhere else in the house. I do produce quite a bit of trash but I make sure it stays in the paper bag next to my bed. I keep my area as clean as I can, and on the occassion I find myself in the kitchen I nearly always leave no trace, or even leave it cleaner than how it was before.

My partner on the other hand is constantly leaving food waste and random stuff everywhere. The biggest issue I have really is the food waste, because it's unsanitary. Recently I even had to re-convince him to put the used paper towels he uses to clean my room's portable toilet into plastic bags before putting into the trash, so there aren't just sh*tty rags out in the open. He also left the p*ss and sh*t-covered paper towels on the bathroom floor, just out of laziness. There's truly no other reason. I called him out and he lied and said the p*ss was actually cum from his vibrator. Yeah, so much better! But it was clearly not. Just... Gross. And so unhygienic!!! I can so easily get horribly sick, and recently I did, because our refrigerator was so disgusting I had awful bloody diarrhea for two weeks. Thankfully that finally inspired him to clean the fridge, and now he's using bags again in the bathroom, but I know it's only a matter of time until it gets bad again. I really really do not understand why he lives like this. He does take care of me as a job, but he changes my toilet a couple times a day and gives me meds twice a day, as well as four bottles of water twice a day, and that is basically it. He does drive me to and from appointments, that is the bulk of his work, and those are maybe once or twice a month at most. Aside from that he takes care of his own house. But he can barely do that.

When I ask him to do things he puts it off as long as possible, and if I do it myself he either says "thanks" and doesn't help or acknowledge I shouldn't be doing it (it's incredibly bad for my health to do any physical activity), or he tells me he was "getting to it," which he obviously wasn't. And when I remind him to do things he says it "makes him want to do it even less, out of spite." I just cannot with him. I love him so much, believe me we have amazing times together sometimes and he is my best friend, but actually living with him kinda sucks. And I cannot move out because my family doesn't wanna take care of me, and otherwise I'd pretty much be homeless. It really is an awful situation. He also doesn't wanna go back to school or get a job elsewhere and let someone else be my caregiver, because he says he loves the job. But he can never get ahead of his own dishes, he can't keep the floors cleaner than a barn, and there's a gigantic pile of garbage on our lawn that's been there for over a year. I just... I hate it.

HELP!

How do I talk to him about this in a way that is productive? He always gets angry or doesn't follow-through when I bring it up from the perspective of "you do so much for me, but I expect a lot more in this regard because I'm not asking much." He also likes to say "you don't even know what I've gotten done recently," and then will point to some yard-work or something he did in the basement, and yeah of course I don't know you don't tell me and I'm bed-bound! And I need the HOUSE cleaned not the basement and not some yard-work that doesn't involve the garbage pile!

tldr; I'm chronically ill, partner is caregiver, cannot clean and doesn't really want to most of the time.
