Home made record test #2

Say it isn't so - Layton Johnstone, is the song being played.

I think it is embossed rather than cut. I use a shard of glass on a pivot actuated by a small speaker and hold it while playing music through the speaker.

The groves are too small and that is where the tracking problems are coming from.

Thank you everyone who replied to my post earlier. I bought it today and I love it already

Thank you everyone for letting me know the authenticity of the very early victrola vi at my local antique store. I bought it today for 200$. It's a little rough but it sounds beautiful. I still need a horn for it but I'm not in any rush to get one.

The song playing is "you're my everything" - al bowlly

Also one of my favorite songs

Problems with reproducer. help

I screwed it up more trying to fix it. I don't know how to approach the issue with the ball bearings. At least I still have them and didn't lose any.

What is causing my reproducer to buzz

It's a victor orthophonic with a metal diaphragm. I tried taking it apart but I didn't want to break it.

I used a piece of broken glass in a little speaker apparatus and just held it with my hand while cutting. Still needs improvement but way better than my first attempt

The song that is supposed to be playing is

say it isn't so - Layton and Johnstone.

I found It in Appalachia near a creek on a hill in lowland woods.

The hills are brownish whitish and the flesh is purple around the edges.
