Germany's Chancellor Merz: "We can no longer accept the extraordinarily high levels of sick leave in our companies. We are abolishing sick leave by telephone and introducing the requirement to submit a medical certificate from the very first day of illness..."

"We know this is a tough decision. But we can no longer afford this competitive disadvantage caused by prolonged absences from work."

Yankees at Red Sox the day after Norway v. France match

Maybe a bit of a tangent, but for those of you who are going to the game, you should know that on the weekend of the Norway v. France match in Boston, there is a Yankees game at Fenway Park (Red Sox). The Tartans showed up yesterday in big numbers after defeating Haiti and lit up the entire ballpark.

We probably don't have the numbers, but a few of us are going to sit on the bleachers behind the outfield to support the Red Sox. If you have a free afternoon, you should come to the game.

The only negative is that it is Yankees vs. Red Sox, so the tickets are pricy, and as tickets are sold out on the MLB website, you have to find them in the secondary market, which is legit. I recommend using Gametime, as SeatGeek doesn't accept Norwegian credit cards. I think it starts around $200. If you want a cheaper ticket, they also play on Thursday evening and Friday evening after the game.

Hope to see some of you there!!!

Heading to Fenway Park for the Yankees Game

Hello everyone!

I am from Japan and want to head out to Fenway Park for the games against the Yankees at the end of the month.

I looked at the tickets, and it seems that a website called SeatGeek has lots of seats (200+) available compared to the MLB website (fewer than 10 seats). I hear that the site is very legitimate, so I picked a couple of seats, but apparently, it only allows payments from US, Canada of Mexico credit cards... meh...

I am wondering what the alternative is at this point. I guess I can buy them from MLB sites, but if I show up at the ticket office, maybe one to two days in advance, will there be cheaper tickets? The ones on SeatGeek are $120, and the ones sold at the MLB website are $180, but given how many seats are left on the MLB website, I fear it would be sold out, but I am assuming that SeatGeek seats will just go unsold... seems a bit inefficient...

Any suggestion is much appreciated. I am, of course, rooting for the Red Sox!
