Canadian investors

I use Wealthsimple, how do you guys go about transferring funds from chequing account to Wealthsimple? I tried doing a transfer on YNAB but it keeps asking me a category but I think a transfer would be easier in my opinion. I also do have a WS chequing account but I think it might ask a category once the money is invested. I would love to hear yall opinion

Worst truck stops

Everybody list your worst truck stop to fuel and also to park. For fuel I would say the pilot on the i90 in Erie PA and the pilot in Braselton,GA on highway 53/I85. Also Franklin Ohio the pilot there is so tight to park

Has anyone become anti social after getting into trucking

I’ve been doing OTR for 2 years and out for weeks and months and realized sometimes I avoid people and don’t want to make eye contact which is weird cause prior to truck driving I wasn’t like this.. even with families and friends..

OTR pay is a scam

Honestly $1500 net running 60-70 hour week and doing resets on the road is very low to me. OTR drivers should make no less than $2000 take home running 2700-3000 miles a week and doing resets on road. The reset alone should be $300. My company only pays $50 for a reset.. what a joke

Freight liner opti-idle

I noticed whenever it’s really hot outside my opti idle would stop working during the night. Does anyone experience this in their truck? I have to wake up middle of the night to turn off the truck and turn it back on and enable interior comfort again for it to work

Help your truck brother/sister out

We all been there, tight and dark truck stops. Was shutting down today in Franklin, Ohio at the pilot flying J. For those who been there, know that place is a dump and the spots are pretty tight when it’s full. A fellow trucker came and helped me out and I really appreciated it. After parking, went in the store and got him a couple snacks and drinks as a thank you.

Inner tire looks contracted

First time seeing this, it’s inflated. Does anyone know how this happened and if I should go to a tire shop? Thanks

EDIT: At the tire shop, they said it needs to be replaced because it’s bulging due to the belts being separated.

I’m naturally an observant person, being a truck driver for 2 years, some days I would sit and watch people from my window or at the truck stop. I realized, most truckers seem sad internally and not happy. I mostly see this from middle age to older folks. I don’t know exactly how long they been in the industry but seems to me at least 5+ years. Just wondering, how are yall doing mentally? Do you feel sad, lonely, depressed?

Hey guys, I am a truck driver that’s out for multiple weeks at a time. An average day is 12 to 14 hours of driving and I have usually 2 to 3 hours a day which I used to take a shower make some food so realistically, I have about an hour hour and a half. What can I do in that time to make additional income?
