Nfs carbon persistent hood camera mod?

Hi guys, just started nfs carbon for the first time but drift mode automatically switches to drift cam and there doesn't appear to be a camera switching button in this game? (At least, no option for it to bind, unlike mw05)

Since im using a wheel i just wanna use hoodcam all the time since its by far the most natural feeling with a wheel

Tfw just ragequit ToCa Touring car championship (ps1) after 1 race

GENUINLY WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THE STEERING IN THIS GAME?

For those unaware: if you turn the wheel a smidge too hard at speed you instantly spin out uncontrollably, but if you dont steer that much you just understeer like a mofo

Truly peak, who the fuck approved this? Its not even gradual in the slightest. I just came from playing v rally 1 which also has its issues (insanely bouncy physics that will spin you or flip you over if you so much as touch a bump or wall or ai car) but even that wasnt unplayable by any means.

But toca tcc 1? Nah fuck this hot flaming garbage, im playing on a steering wheel and even that doesnt let you have sane steering. Seriously tho why tf would turning the wheel at speed beyond a certain rotation spin you tf out??? Im not talking about yanking the wheel quickly, you could just do the most gradual input ever but if you turn it a degree too far you just bin the car its insane.

I tried it on wheel and on controller (analog and digital) and to no avail, its a smidge better on a gamepad because you might countersteer it but you still suffer from the horrendously broken steering shenanigans

Im pretty sure itd be an ok game if the steering didnt have this absurd nonsense going on but with it being what it is even the cursed flatout 3 might be a better racing game....

F1 2013 ai bugged on pc?

you may have seen my prior post a couple days back but i decided to cross reference between the pc version i was running and the console versions and on monaco the ai on my pc install was as fast as 1:10.02 laptimes whereas on console they were about 3-5s slower overall (same difficulty settings). HUGE difference there. i'd have easily beat them without driving like a sewerslidal maniac

for the record, the ai in the classic mode appears to be normal? in my pc install with me easily getting p1 and holding it uncontested without the sweaty pushing i'd need to do in the 2013 GP/career mode to even get/stay in top 5. doing gp mode in the classic cars is a complete cakewalk in comparison

Any chance simagic or some third party manufacturer is going to make a usb passthrough shaft spacer like conspits?

QR-A is nice and all but aside from the increased cost its 4cm longer than normal qr's and god forbid your non simagic wheel already comes with some sort of QR or nonremovable extension.

I wonder if drilling a hole into my shaft extension and just soldering on a set of wires on the 5v, grd, d+ and d- wires would work? Id much rather have a properly manufactured solution though...

F1 2013 ai absurdly fast in career mode?

Like this is just the first race, melbourne

Afaict 1:21.5 was player world record level back in its early days, and irl vettel set pole at 1:27.4 with fastest race lap being kimi raikonnens 1:29.274

So wtf is causing my ingame AI to be this unreasonably fast in career mode??? They werent this fast in scenario or the 10 race season challenges

My laps were set in the caterham car

Irl records for this layout were 1:24.2 by schumi in the f2004 and 2019 pole by hamilton at 1:20.486 which would only be p10 in here?????

Genuinly what the hell is going on here???

Neo formula wheel?

Will there ever be a gt neo 270-280mm equivalent formula wheel? Zeus formula is great but its heavy and expensive, especially if you dont need the screen. Im currently just using my gt neo but id like a smaller example to deal with twitchy modern high grip open wheelers

Is there a small device that plugs into a arduino/stm32 usb socket that wirelessly transmits the D+ and D- provided by said socket while also providing 5V and GND to both devices?

Complete noob here, i basically wanna convert a STM32 based sim steering wheel to no longer need a usb cable. My wheelbase already provides 5V and GND through the quick release on the wheel (not yet connected).

Otherwise ill have to custom order a different pogo pin pcb that also connects to the usb data in/out contacts

Simagic QR-A V2 length?

is there any particular reason why simagic made the new one so much longer than the old one they pulled from the market? i had already installed a shaft extension to my evo wheelbase but the QRA appears to be a whole 4cm/1,5 inch longer than normal simagic QR's...

Anyone happen to know if theres a usb dashboard rotary push knob (like a big funky 7 way switch)style button box out there? Similar to that of the pic?

Figure it would be fairly intuitive to have car like menu navigation

Rig advice wanted, where and how do i mount a handbrake, button box(es) and a keypad?

Ill be installing a 10cm shaft extension soon to get my arms closer to the reccomended 90 degree angle (although i have yet to sit in any real vehicle where i have that sort of arm position, is that something all of us 180+cm/6'+ tall people experience?)

I can't mount anything to the bottom rails without taking way too much stuff off...

Havent picked a handbrake yet.

Older games (F1 2010-2018) on a direct drive wheel?

Anyone have experience going through the classics of the franchise on modern simrigs? just about any of the FFB mods/settings i can read up on the older games (2010-2013 especially) are for logitech wheels like the g29. gave 2013 a quick spin and it worked fairly out of the box but obviously the games standard FFB parameters are probably not a good idea at 5-10x the torque output.

Just got a 6650xt, get these weird vertical lines when using FSR or XESS upscaling in FH6? Latest drivers.

Anyone else have this issue? My apologies for the terrible pic. They appear around the sides of cars and under the spoiler

One of my gigabyte GO27Q24G woled monitors (i have four of them) has a red tint to it?

I had it set up in the middle of a triple mount and it was noticeably redder than the others to a bothering degree, fortunately the fourth one i got turned out to be like the other two but i'm wondering if this is common? By itself its ok but pretty obvious next to any other display i have...

I'd contact gigabyte support but their verification email system doeznt even send me the email to begin with...

Trying out one of my three new GO27Q24G (Woled) next to my main FO27Q3 (QDoled)

Anyone know what causes my QD to be brighter and a bit more washed out? Especially the white FPS counter is just way brighter on the QD even though one would expect the screen with white subpixels to have brighter whites right?

Unless screen duplication causes some issues? I have to say that the woled panel seems rather dim in sRGB mode unless i boost the black level equalizer (which i cannot do in sRGB mode on the QD panel)

Virtual desktop virtual monitor bitrate limiter per virtual display?

My apologies for the confusing question but what i wanted to know is if its possible to have a virtual triple monitor setup in virtual desktop but to limit the bitrate for two of them so the outer two don't cause fidelity loss/latency for the center one

Or if it has a foveated streaming esque way of dealing with it where it prioritizes decompression on the screen the headset is pointing at?
