My first foray into the world of Webkinz trading

Okay so, forgive me if some of this stuff isn't worth anything, I kinda just dug through most of my things and tried to pick out things I'd be willing to part with– but, if anyone wants any of these, I'm down to chat! Mostly just looking for some pet codes in exchange, but I'm open to offers of other stuff too :)

My pet code wish list (there's more that I'd like, but these are top favorites)!

(Also: sorry if I don't respond to messages right away, idk how much time I'll have before I have to leave my house for a while today– so if I miss your message, I promise I'm not ignoring you, please just be patient! tysm in advance for even looking)

Childhood nostalgia…

A friend of mine reminded me that Webkinz still exists… so I went to the launcher, put my 8-year-old self's username and password in, and lo and behold…

My original webkinz pet. The one who started it all. She was still there and waiting for me to come home :')

I don't remember how many pets I ended up with in the end (it was a lot– although there's no easy way of quickly counting in the menus I've seen) but, I looked through some of my original house, and seeing as I started in 2006, I feel like I might have some rare stuff? I don't know for sure. There's been some changes about this game since I looked through it last, and I don't remember how a lot of it works anymore.

Can anybody maybe offer some tips for a player who's been away for a very VERY long time? I'd love to get back into this in some way and come back to my roots.

Found a blast from the past in my closet today :)

I forgot I still had my own little collection of game cartridge cases from my childhood! Reading through the ACWW instruction manual again lowkey made me a little emotional– I played this game with my older sister all the time when I was a kid. We'd constantly be visiting each others' towns through local play, and we'd even have "sleepovers" where we each set up a matching room in both our houses for our characters to sleep in while we closed our DS's overnight. So many memories!

Bonus picture at the end: the rest of my DS game box collection. I was a child with fairly simple tastes, lol

Ideas for Multiplayer Activities?

I've been working on my island a bit more recently, and it's starting to shape up into what I think is a good layout. However, I had the idea of eventually having people over for events once it's done… and for the life of me, I can't think of much for folks to actually do here aside from just walk around. I have whole areas decorated to look like they're set up for various activities, but there's not much that guests could really interact with.

I've been trying to come up with little things I could finagle for minigames or contests or prizes, and I'm kinda stuck. I know the overall consensus is that there's just generally not much to do in basic ACNH multiplayer, but, if anybody has suggestions of what could be fun for guests to do, I could use the help :/

My island is ren faire/Shakespeare-themed if that gives any ideas! I'm also open to feedback and sharing more of what my island looks like, if needed

Local villager goes mad with the power of infinite tool durability

When I went to Harv's island last time, Katrina gave me "luck with belongings"… and I knew what I had to do. Palm bug hunt!!

Did I terrorize the environments of local NMT islands to accomplish this? Possibly.

Did I get jumpscared by scorpions on more than one occasion? Absolutely.

Did I really need all these extra bugs when I'd caught most of them already? No, not really.

Will it be worth it to sell all these bugs for absolute bank? YES.

Now, the real question is whether I wait for Flick to show up or just sell them to the Nooklings. Either way, the payout's gonna be SO tasty!!

Not pictured are the two (2) giraffe stags and two (2) golden stags I got to spawn in all this madness. I caught them, but one of each went to the museum, and I'm keeping the leftovers xD

Also not shown: the several sharks I pulled up while I was bug hunting because I have no impulse control

Farming this was SO worth it

Bonus picture of my huge Bone Dragon yelling in the background of my little victory photoshoot xD

This mount is so sick though. I'm not even a death or life wizard, and I'm making a whole stitch around this guy already lmao. Open to suggestions for what outfits to go with him :)

Searching for: Hearty Pegasus

Hey there! I'm a PC player searching for this pet body. A variant with fire stats would be ideal since I'd be training it for PVE for my fire wizard, but it doesn't particularly matter to me as long as I can get the body in the end. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a variety of pet bodies that I'm able to lend in return, if needed. I'm also willing to help out in other ways (questing/farming boss fights) if you want anything back! Thanks in advance :)

I don't know if this counts as "abuse", and I'm scared either way

(I put "venting" as the flair because I'm not sure what else to put, sorry I'm new here. I think this is gonna touch on emotional/financial abuse too so, be warned if you choose to read this)

I'm 28F and autistic. I currently live with my dad (62M) and he manages all my money. I don't get to touch 99% of the money I make from my retail job because my parents (divorced) collectively do not trust me with it. This is because I had a bad habit of overspending for a while a few years ago, when I was in a toxic roommate situation. So, every time I get a paycheck, I have to sign it over to my father's bank account. They don't really let me have any say in this.

I have a friend who's told me that that's illegal (he works for a bank and knows things), because it's not a conservatorship or anything. He said it's only "legal" because I sign it into my dad's account in the presence of the bank tellers. The only spending money I get from my parents is the occasional cash, or my mom sometimes sends me a little bit over Venmo so I can use it from my phone's secret PayPal account. My dad doesn't know about the account and I'm scared for if he finds out. He's been known to be emotionally manipulative against me and my mother, and it's hard to maneuver around every day. It wears on me, especially with the autism.

Last night, in a spontaneous act of rebellion, I took my most recent paycheck and had it all deposited into my secret PayPal account. I don't make a ton of money, I work sporadically for a local small business in retail, so I was hoping the missing check would go unnoticed. My father hasn't said anything about the absence of the paycheck yet, but today he did say he wanted to go have it deposited soon, and now I'm panicking because I don't have it anymore.

This whole situation feels demeaning and wrong. I feel like I shouldn't have to be terrified of my family finding out that I claimed something that's already legally mine. My dad doesn't charge me rent or make me pay for groceries, which I'm grateful for, but at the same time the whole thing makes me feel like I owe him, and sometimes (a lot of the time) he acts like it.

I don't know if what I feel is justified. And that scares me, and I feel a lot of shame about the fact that I'm so dependent on others.

I'm sorry if this isn't coming out quite right. My brain is in panic mode currently and is going a million miles a minute because I feel like I'm not allowed to tell anybody any of this. I know it's not physical abuse, but I'm scared all the same.

Any advice or insight on the situation would be appreciated. I can provide some more details if people want them, I'm just bad at writing right now. Thanks in advance, and I'm also sorry if this isn't super coherent

Stitch Swap

Changed my stitch around to try to match my new Pupbelly pet. How does it look? Does the wand work well enough? I'm open to suggestions for other outfits and wands too :)

Shouting out Mickey at KI

I know there's been a lot of conflict between the player base and the devs lately, so I'm here to spread a little bit of kindness:

I don't really know anything about how KingsIsle works on an internal level, but from what I've been able to tell, u/Mickey-KI has been working their butt off as Senior Community Manager over there lately, talking to people at every level to make sure our feedback is heard. With a community as niche and passionate as this one, that can't be an easy job, especially with all that's been happening as of late.

Idk. I've just been thinking about this screenshot of theirs I saw on here a few days ago. I feel like it's not too often you see something like this in general, least of all with regards to a company as disconnected as KI seems to be from their own community, so here's me giving some praise.

Good on you, Mickey, and thank you for working to make all of our voices heard. Keep fighting the good fight. You're genuinely one of the reasons why I'll keep coming back to Wizard101 for as long as I can.

Making my ACNH villagers human-like in Tomodachi :D

Tried to use minimal face paint since I can't draw well, but, how many do you recognize? I think most of them get the point across :)

Tomodachi Life LTD helped me get closer with my sister

This isn't exactly meme-worthy content you'd usually see on this subreddit, but I thought it'd be fun to share anyway:

My older sister doesn't own a Switch or Tomodachi Life LTD because she's not a total gamer like I am, but she's heard me talking about playing it, so I added her and myself to my island– and I've been trying to keep her posted on our miis' silly interactions. Lately, she's been working her butt off though (she's a doctor and works like 80 hours a week), and as a result, I don't get to see her as much. So I made a funny little collage of our cute little miis living together to cheer her up, and she loved it so much that she sent it to our mom, who also loved it!

Now, with the help of my mother, I have a framed version of the collage to give her as a surprise the next time I see her in person. I'm excited to see her reaction to it :D

Idk. My sister means a lot to me and always will, so whenever she greets me in-game, it's like she's actually saying hi to me. We lovingly refer to each other as "Buddy" and "Pal" (I'm Pal, she's Buddy), and she does so much for me irl, so I used this as a small way to show her my appreciation. I hope she likes it :')
