Dr. Doom from Zombicide: Marvel Zombies

He was sitting on my pile of shame for way too long, but the Avengers trailer was the push I needed to get him onto the painting table. Pretty happy with how the green cloak and metal shading turned out. What do you guys think?

Ghost Rider Zombicide

Ghost Rider – Part 2 🔥💀

After my last post, I finally got around to painting the Ghost Rider miniature.

And honestly? I’m pretty happy with how he turned out! 🔥 I was able to bring out a lot more of the details, give the flames some life, and overall I think the miniature looks much better now than it did straight out of the box.

That being said… even after painting him, I still have mixed feelings about the sculpt.

The paint definitely helps, but it can’t completely hide the problems I had with the model from the beginning. The pose still feels rather static, some of the details are too soft, and compared to what Ghost Rider could have been, the miniature just doesn’t feel like it does the character justice.

Ghost Rider is such an iconic character, and I really wish the sculpt had captured more of that aggressive, dynamic energy.

So while I’m happy with my paint job, I still think the miniature itself falls short of what Ghost Rider deserves. 😅

Maybe one day I’ll actually replace him with a custom sculpt… 🔥

What do you guys think? Does painting him change your opinion of the miniature, or do you feel the same way?

Am I the only one disappointed by Ghost Rider's sculpt? (Render vs. Reality)

Hey everyone,

I want to start by saying that I absolutely love Marvel Zombicide. It’s easily one of my favorite games in my collection, and Ghost Rider has always been one of my absolute favorite characters in the Marvel universe.

That’s why it hurts so much to say this: I really have a problem with his miniature in the game.

Not only do I find his pose pretty bland and underwhelming compared to the dynamic sculpts of other heroes, but the drop in quality between the promotional digital render and the actual physical mini is insane (as you can see in the picture).

The Render: Super crisp detail, sharp flames, well-defined chains, and an awesome overall look.

The Reality: A lot of the sharp details are completely washed out, the flames look muddy, and the chains lose all their texture... :/

Ghost Rider is honestly the only figure in the entire game where I’m seriously considering throwing the official mini in a box and replacing it with a custom 3D-printed model.

What do you guys think? Has anyone else felt let down by this specific sculpt? I’d love to see what alternatives you guys are using!

Finally starting my Marvel Zombicide Galactus project!

Before putting any paint on him, I wanted to take the opportunity to install some LEDs while everything was still easy to access.

It was definitely a bit of a challenge in places routing all the wiring through the model without damaging anything wasn't exactly straightforward, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Now comes the part I've been looking forward to the most: painting this absolute monster. 😄

Magneto and Zombie Magneto for Marvel Zombicide!

I wanted to keep the classic comic book color scheme, with a rich metallic red armor and vibrant purple cape.

The zombie version was a lot of fun to paint, I added decayed flesh and some extra weathering while trying to keep him instantly recognizable as Magneto.

They're not my most complicated paint jobs, but I'm really happy with how the metallics and capes turned out.

As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts or any suggestions! :)

What do you think about the Marvel Multiverse RPG "12 Days of Doom" Dice Advent Calendar?

I just came across the new Marvel Multiverse RPG – 12 Days of Doom Dice Advent Calendar and I'm curious what the community thinks about it.

The idea of a Marvel themed dice calendar sounds pretty cool, especially with the different Fantastic Four themed dice and the mystery boxes.

I pre-ordered a box.

What do you think about it?

Iceman Marvel zombicide

Finished painting Iceman and Zombie Iceman for my Marvel Zombicide collection!

These two were actually pretty straightforward compared to some of the other heroes. I built them up with a heavy white drybrush, then added a few icy details using AK Interactive Frost Effect to give them that frozen, crystalline look.

Simple paint job, but I think the frost effect really helps bring them to life (or... unlife 😄).

As always, feedback and suggestions are welcome!

Emma Frost - Marvel Zombicide

Just finished painting Emma Frost for my Marvel Zombicide collection!

I wanted to keep her classic white outfit clean. For the suit, I didn't start from pure white. Instead, I worked my way up from a very desaturated blue-grey, gradually layering and highlighting until reaching white. I think it gives the clothing a bit more depth while still keeping that clean Emma Frost look.

I'm still learning, so I'd love to hear your feedback or any tips for improving future minis. Thanks for taking a look!

Finally finished my Dark Phoenix from Marvel Zombicide! 🔥🦅

I decided to keep the translucent flame effects mostly untouched because I really liked how they looked straight out of the box. Instead, I focused on painting Jean Grey herself, trying to make her stand out against all the transparent fire.

I think the contrast between the painted figure and the untouched flames works really well, but I'd love to hear what you think.

Finally finished painting Carnage from Marvel Zombicide! 🩸

Tried going for that fresh, living symbiote look with lots of gloss and deep reds.

I wanted to push the contrast with a glossy, wet-looking symbiote finish while keeping the base cold and desaturated to make him really pop.

Really happy with it :)

C&C always appreciated! 🩸

The new edition is worth it! ☆

Star Wars Edge of The Empire: Beginner Game:

I picked up the new German edition of Star Wars: Edge of the Empire yesterday. Even though I already owned the old one, I'm really glad I bought it.

The old Beginner Game box felt like it was made from cheap cereal-box cardboard. The new box is much sturdier and feels far more premium, so I can definitely recommend it.

It's a bit hard to see the difference in the photos because I took very good care of my old box (the one on the right), but trust me, it was very poorly made compared to this new edition ♡

I made a framed piece dedicated to Digimon World Re:Digitize, one of my favorite games from the Digimon series.

I wanted a physical piece, something I could actually hang on my wall instead of just keeping it as a memory on my console or PC.

Putting it together was a lot of fun, and even though it’s simple, it means a lot to me personally.

Has anyone else here done something like this for Digimon or other games they grew up with?

I made a frame for one of my absolute favorite games to kind of “immortalize” it a little.

I just wanted something that keeps the game visible in my everyday life, not just digitally or on a shelf, but as a proper little piece of art on the wall.

It was really fun putting it together, even though it’s not perfect. But that’s exactly what makes it feel more personal to me.

What do you think? Have you ever done something similar for your favorite games?
