Have any of you read this book? I was super excited to get into it as I love the Legion era stuff, but there's a distracting number of typos. Like, to an embarrassing degree. I don't know how it hit the shelves in this state.

Everyone else is so unprofessional and rude that all I have to do is show up when I'm scheduled to be my manager's favorite.

What other stories in the EU show The Doctor's first meeting with an established villain?

There's not many recurring villains who we don't see first encountered on screen, so it must be a pretty small list.

Right now I have them grouped by series which I think is the most logical way. For a long time I organized them chronologically in the order The Doctor lived them which was so chaotic on the shelf. I'm thinking of going back to that once I pick up some 7th Doctor PDAs to split the VNAs a bit.

I vaguely remember a scene in a Big Finish audio where somebody traveling with the Doctor from before decimaliation ends up in the modern day and is confused by the new currency. Does anybody know what I could be thinking of.

It wasn't a major plot point if I remember correctly. Just a small thing that came up.

I bought a bunch of Cybermen mini's for a Doctor Who game, and they're all series 8 Cybermen.

It gets kind of boring painting the same all silver versions over and over again so I want to find some other ones I can paint using this same sculpt.

So far I've decided I'm going to paint two Cyber Leaders with the black handles and faceplate, and one wooden Cyberman.

Are there any other variants of these guys in the show or the EU?

I really wish I could paint the Cyber Leader with the brain in his head, but I am not a skilled enough painter for that.

I really really like that aspect of XCOM 2. It's what pushes it over the first one for me. I love being forced to pick between which missions to undertake and feeling like I'm constantly fighting an uphill battle. Can you recommend any games with similar vibes to that?

edit: bonus points if it has a sci-fi setting.

I'm reading through the fifth Iris Wildthyme anthology to come from Obverse books, and am curious what the title is a reference too. They have some silly allusion to something in the title, but this one eludes me.

The VNAs being a continuation of the show had somewhat of a story going on from book to book. The EDAs did even more so; to the point that you couldn't just pick a random one of the shelf without being confused.

Do the PDAs also have any story arcs going on from book to book or are they generally more episodic?

I really enjoyed the Martian Vision in Absolute Manhunter #1. I also read V for Vendetta for the first time recently, and was entranced by the issue that opens with a song and accompanying sheet music.

Do you folks have any recommendations of books that try unique things like that? Whether it just be a single panel, or a whole book built around a weird idea.

Thanks in advance.

I get off work in a few hours. When I do I'll trade whatever cool stuff yalls got.

I've been bit by the board game bug and have been playing tons of games of Marvel Legendary. While doing so I couldn't help but think about how much fun a Doctor Who themed game like that could be?

Do you have any really fun Doctor Who games you've played? They don't have to be a deck building game like Legendary, just anything you really enjoyed playing.

The only Doctor Who game I have experience with is Time of the Daleks which I adored. I have all The Doctors except War (who was just a convention promo figure anyway.) That being said, I'm open to any type of game as long as it's Doctor Who related.
