Non-denominational church with a good amount of young adults?

23 year old here that's been going to Bayside Community Church for a while, but has been wanting a change outside of Christianity that feels a bit corporate. I live in Palmetto, but am willing to go as far north as St. Pete or as far south to Sarasota. Suggestions welcome! Thank you!

Exercise

Hi guys! My iron level tested normal (41 mcg/dL). However, my ferritin was low (5 mcg/dL) and I was prescribed iron pills. Any suggestions on how to get it up besides the pills? Also, how much does my exercise performance get affected by this? I’m 23 and have heavy periods and the doctor was also talking about potentially prescribing birth control. I’m overweight and wanna lose weight, but I also recognize that may not be beneficial. Maybe i should eat a mostly protein diet?

I just joined a kickboxing gym too lol.

What type of hair do I have?

For five to six years, I’ve been using heat to style my hair once or twice a week. I decided like maybe a month or so ago to start wearing my hair naturally and I’ve done a couple bond treatments and tried out different routines.

My hair here is a result of leave-in (Curlsmith’s Air Dry cream), mousse (volume and curly hair mousse from Not Your Mother’s), and oil after diffusing. Was wondering what my hair type likely is now? I’m not sure if the waves will get tighter after doing this for a while. Also, any suggestions on what else can be done are welcome!

How common are wrist injuries?

Wondering because I’m going to school in the fall where I’ll basically be typing all day. I just wanna do kickboxing as a hobby, maybe around 2-3 times a week.

Can someone recommend a routine?

Hi guys. I have thick, kinda coarse, and wavy hair that has been subjected you to some years of heat damage, but I’m not entirely sure what the extent of that damage is. I did just recently get my hair cut. The final two pics are before the cut. I was just wondering what routine would you recommend?

I tried doing leave-in, gel, mousse, and diffusing, but that just left me with stringy looking hair and I hated it. This morning I ended up just combing my hair out and that’s was the first two pics are. I just want some routines people would recommend and if it helps, I am wasian and I’m unsure if that means a diff hair texture. I just want to be able to wear my hair naturally without feeling like it looks not great lol.

Did two sessions (beginner here)!

I went to two different gyms and I had a third reach out lol, so I might go there next. I'm leaning towards signing up for a student membership at the second gym since the experience felt more personalized, cleaner, is geared towards kickboxing/Muay Thai specifically, and it'll only be five minutes from the law school I'm going to.

I sucked at it and my form had to be corrected multiple times, but I enjoyed it! As someone who's generally pretty unathletic and overweight, I'm looking forward to taking fitness more seriously. I managed to lose around 40 pounds, but since then, I've been pretty stagnant, and wanted to try something new to help with the remaining weight I want to lose. I'm looking forward to trying a sport as someone who has never gotten into them even if I don't end up doing anything competitively.

Jag Corps Testimonies?

Incoming student for law school and was wanting to hear the thoughts on Jag Corps from people who are in it because I am considering it as a potential option. I also want to know the likelihood of getting one tour overseas if I just do the four-year contract?

Opinions on Gracie Gym

Hi guys. I want to get into kickboxing this summer as someone who wants to lose weight and form a fitness habit. I’ve contacted three different gyms regarding a beginner’s kickboxing class and only Gracie has gotten back to me. However, from what I hear on TikTok, it’s a bit corporate or cult-like? Idk. I want the general opinion.

Maybe the other gyms will get back to me soon idk.

How do people afford anything in law school?

If you don't have a significant amount of savings, do you just go into credit card/loan debt for food, housing, etc? How are you guys providing for yourselves if you're not working?

Heat-damaged hair and wanting to go back to my natural wave

Pics are of my damaged hair with the last one being after two bond repair treatments, but the top layer clipped up because that one still looks pretty rough.

Hi guys! This thread is basically the title. I have a hair appointment coming up next week where I'll at the very least getting my split ends chopped up. Was wanting advice. I have around 5-6 years worth of heat damage that went on 1-2x time a week. I want to go back to my original wave pattern (idek what that is). As a child, I had hair reminiscent of Shirley Temple's. In middle school, all I would do is brush out my hair with no product or anything and it was always a frizzy mess. I started putting heat on my hair in high school and continued to do so throughout college. Any advice appreciated!

Overrated Law Schools

I did a thread on underrated law schools a while back and thought it'd be fun to do the opposite of that. What are some schools that you think punch below their ranking?
