Getting back into badminton after 7 years

Getting back into badminton after 7 years

I’m 20 and used to play badminton for around 8 years, but then I stopped for 7 years. Now I’m in university and have started playing again.

At my university, there are around 20–30 students, 3 courts, and only doubles. We only get around 2.5 hours of playing time.

I’ve played for 2 days so far, and I’m struggling with something I didn’t expect. Sometimes the shuttle doesn’t even connect properly with my racket. I know exactly which shot I want to play in my mind, but when I try to execute it, the shot doesn’t come out the way I want.

Also, after playing, my right hand, body, right leg and glutes feel very stretched/sore, probably because I haven’t played for 7 years.

Did I need to take rest after 2 3 days of playing. What should I do to get my timing, coordination and overall badminton form back?

Just bought a new ASUS TUF laptop. What are the first things I should do?

Any advice for a new TUF owner? What settings should I change, what updates/software should I install, and what unwanted/bloatware apps I can uninstall?

Any other useful tips or things I should do when setting up a brand-new TUF would be appreciated!

Swayam-NPTEL help

My university has made it compulsory for all B.Tech CSE 1st-year students to enroll in a SWAYAM-NPTEL course.

I'm not sure which course would be the best choice. Can anyone suggest an easy and useful NPTEL course for a first-year CSE student? If you've taken one before, I'd really appreciate your recommendations

ADBU (assam donbosco university ) vs ADTU (assam downtown university)

for B.Tech CSE? These are my only two options. I know neither is great, but which is better overall for B.Tech CSE in terms.

Btech Assam

I'm planning to pursue B. Tech CSE this year. Unfortunately, I did not qualify for JEE Main, Assam CEE, or any other engineering entrance exam. Taking a drop year is not an option for me and my parents don't allow me to go outside

assam

I'm considering:

- Assam down town University (ADTU)

- Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU)

Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU)

Kaziranga University (KU)

University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM)

Royal Global University (RGU) is not in budget

Which of these would be the best choice for B.Tech CSE?

I'm not expecting much from campus placements and am currently planning to prepare for GATE during my B. Tech.

I'd appreciate honest opinions from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with these universities
