Feeling very discouraged while training.

Feeling very discouraged while training.

I posted here a while back on how I’m getting back into climbing at 16 after quitting at 12 and being a competitive climber for years before I quit due to my health. I know I shouldn’t compare my current self to my 12 year old self but it’s really hard when I can’t even do routes that were once so easy. I can’t even keep a foothold on 5.5 walls and can barely reach the top now. I feel like I’ve lost all my strength and it’s making me feel so upset and discouraged with myself.

Getting IUD removed, advice?

For reference i am 16 with endometriosis and got my IUD put 5-7 months ago. At first it was great, I had no pain, minimal bleeding, and felt like I’d gotten my pain free life back. Around 2-3 months ago I began to have severe cramping, this was near comparable to my endo pain and would leave me dizzy or nauseous. I could barely walk and would just rot in bed. Sometimes I feel a sharp pain or a poking in my cervix and I very much believe it’s the IUD (I feel this when running, swimming, sitting, etc.) I’m also now having constant bleeding and getting huge clots. I’m having my IUD taken out while having Ativan so I stay calm and also bc my pelvic floor is tight. Is there anything I should know for before, during, and after?

Getting back into climbing after 4 years, tips?

For background information, I did competitive climbing from the age of 10-12, before quitting due to health issues and moving. It’s been roughly 4 years since and I’ve started to get back into it. I got new shoes and a new harness, all the stuff needed. But when I actually began to climb again I was genuinely shocked at how much effort I had to put in. Even 5.5 routes (which I used to excel in) take so much effort. I feel like I’ve lost all strength and muscle I once had and can barely lift my body weight. Any tips on getting strength back and anything I should do to get back into climbing? For reference I’m 5’3 and around 164lbs. Thanks!

PSA to bathroom goers

For the love of God, please don’t leave your random shit on the floor of the bathroom. And please don’t try to stomp it down the drain, it doesn’t work and it’s unpleasant for all of us. And if the toilet is clogged please tell someone before it overflows. Thanks.

My art as a disabled teenager in Christ Pt. 2!

Hello! If you don’t know me, my name is Lena and I have FND (or Functional Neurological Disorder). Because of this I experience paralysis and tremors in my arms, hands, and fingers. Despite this I absolutely love making art that glorifies Christ. I shared one of my drawings a while back and thought I’d show some more recent ones. The first one is of the Host in a monstrance, for this I used colored pencils and calligraphy ink for the silver and gold :) the second one is the lamb of God, in which I used colored pencils, markers, and gold calligraphy ink! I always enjoy sharing my art so lmk if you guys would like to see more! God bless 🙏

My art as a disabled teenager in Christ 🙏

Hello! My name is Lena and I have FND (or Functional Neurological Disorder). Because of this I experience paralysis and tremors in my arms, hands, and fingers. Despite this I absolutely love making art that glorifies Christ, and this is one of my recent works. I used Copic markers and calligraphy ink for the gold accents, and then I used a fine liner pen for the edges. I wanted to share this because I’m so grateful God has given me the ability to do what I love, even if I have my struggles. God Bless 🙏

Am I wasting my life?

Got told I’m wasting my life (by some ppl in my class) bc I’ve never slept with anyone. Keep in mind I’m a traditional Catholic teenager and I’m planning on marriage after college, meaning I value my own personal chastity (idc wha others do with their lives). I was also told that I’m still a virgin bc I’m scared of sex, which I’m not. I’m now really questioning if I’m making a waste of my teenage years. Helpful advice or reassurance appreciated :) 💗

Honoring my brother at graduation

My older brother passed away about 2 years ago and would be graduating in 2 weeks. I’ve been dreading this day and have been talking to those he’d be graduating with and we wanted to do something to help remember him at graduation. He was an NHS student and VP, he was always so dedicated to studying. Wha could we do for graduation to help remember and honor him?

If mods need me to remove this pls lmk!

My brother was killed by a drunk driver in March 4th of 2026. He was 21. He was a seminarian and had hopes of becoming a priest and expressed excitement in wanting to become a Franciscian priest. I lost him alongside my second oldest brother, who I lost when he was 16 (he’d now be 18). My younger sister heart is forever broken. I feel so selfish for wanting Peter (my oldest brother) back. There’s so much I wish to do with him and wish to show him. And there’s also so much I wish to see him do. I will never see him become ordained, I will never see him do his first mass, I will never see him do anything again. If one thing is keeping me going it would be his faith. My brother loved God so much, and put all his faith in God no matter what.

I feel comforted knowing my second oldest brother (Ethan) is no longer alone, and that Peter is teaching him more about the faith and taking care of him. My younger sister h heart is breaking so much. I want Peter back so much.
