Asics gel kinsei blast

I am a runner with 50 miles per week average. The shoe I had been using for my easy recovery runs (usually 3 runs every week) had got enough miles on and needed to be replaced. I was planing to get a new pair over the weekend. Yesterday a friend gifted me a brand new asics gel kinsei blast and it made my day. I know its an old model probably 2021 but this pair is still new.

I did 5 miles on them this morning (it was a kind of tempo run by mistake. I should have done a slower easy paced run on that but the new shoe made me excited lol) and the shoes performed OK. Neither too good nor too bad so I am in a fix.

I was wondering and seeking some guidance whether i can keep using these gel kinsei for my recovery runs or should I get something else like I was planning before of Nimbus 28 or Nike vomero plus?

Awarapan 2 in any cinema?

Hey

Just wondering if any of the cinemas in Lahore or even Entire country streaming Awarapan 2? Just a loyal die hard fan of original 2007 awarapan bcz of its late teenage nostalgic vibe so I would love to watch it with my gang. But rn we aren't sure if its allowed to stream in pakistan cinemas.

P.S not sure if it merits but if anyone wants to join us, they are welcome. Also if the cinemas arent showing it, we can arrange a private streaming but ofc when its available on Amazon prime

school for playgroup/prenursery

Need advice on getting my 3.5 years daughter admitted in school.

I'd prefer some school in model town or vicinity.

I have already shortlisted beaconhouse model town junior campus and LGS model town peco road branch but open to any other suggestions too.

Also I am too much confused with this mainstream/flagship capuses and landmark or milestone campuses. Their fee structure varies alot but I literally want the best for my kid and fee is not that much of concern as long the education is top notch.

Its worse than before

Today is 25th smoke free day and this is my 2nd attempt to quit. First one(last year) lasted for 3 days only but this time I feel myself a genuine nonsmoker now which is something i am really happy about given I smoked almost 40 cigarettes/day for almost 16 years. The idea of quiting never seemed to work for me. I must say and my wife believes also that its just a miracle that I have managed to quit without even using any NRTs.

But the problem is my brain asking me literally all the time that what wonders i have done after quiting. I am NOT feeling any noticeable changes in my running stamina, my skin, my focus, sleep. That being said, my appetite has gone crazy. I used to fast 18 hours everyday when i was smoking and now its seems impossible to avoid snacking. Have got my stomach upset twice due to overeating in last 3 weeks. My running stamina which was my primary motivation to quit hasnt improved even a little. I mean sometimes it feels even worse. What i want to happen really soon is that to start hating smoking which doesnt seem possible if the current situation prevails and i am not able to answer to my brain.

15 days but cant control appetite

Today has marked my 15 days of being smoke + nicotine free. IK its a great achievement and I am proud of myself of being able to spend 15 days without smoke after 18 years. I used to have 40 ciggerets per day fyi. But today I noticed I have gained like 5 pounds in these 15 days and my appetite is never ending. I used to do my 18 hour intermittent fasting before from 8 pm to 2 pm and used to do my fastened cardio in the morning. The cardio (running) is the same but I feel hungry af right after it and end up eating alot of junk and sweets etc.

Any help on sticking to my diet as before?

Will I replase from here?

I am at 10 days smoke free now. Not even a single puff. Had intense cravings but managed through them by going running, drinking cold drinks or taking a shower.

My cravings are becoming less intense and easy to manage now. I managed to stay smoke free in a couple of friends meetups too and had a all of a sudden stresses situation too one day but stayed smoke free yupeee.

I am wondering today will I ever become a smokers again or I am in already out of danger now. How many changes of going into nicotine slavery again? Fyi I didnt use any NRTs too

Need a running partner

I am an easy pace runner and usually run throughout the week. Previously had some running partners due to which it was more fun.

Right now its just extreme humid out there and running alone is terrible tbh.

Flexible in training and can plan my running sessions according to partners convenience.

Can guide you too regarding sessions, fueling, gear, diet, hydration, time management etc if you are new and looking to start running.

Want to quit

I am 30 and a smoker for 12 years now. As far as i remember, smoking an average of 2 packs/day for past 5 years atleast or may be more.

I am also a runner with an average of 10 KM/day and physically very active. My running pace is usually 5 min/km that is considered pretty decent.

I want to quit to be around for my family and dont want to get into any illness etc (so far there is no issue whatsoever).

Already going cold turkey and its day 2 now of being smoke free. This is my 2nd attempt to quit and last one was 6 months ago and lasted for 4 days.

My motivation to quit is to be around for my family (have a cute 3 yr daughter, 1 yr son, a wife and very loving parents) and 2nd one is to be able to run a marathon and win it perhaps.
