Believe me when I tell you my boy is very, very grumpy in this pic.
He went full feral mode the moment he saw the napkin and released all it's cropped-up rage

For those who don't recognise this method: I'm using a soldering heat gun to remove stretchmarks that can appear on de bottom of the print when its cooled down and remove from the bed.
It was a rhetorical question BTW
Gotta say, scanning makes recreating so much easier.
Barely 2 weeks in and already all this stuff, I wasn't prepared for this!

I'm sure this is still a far-cry from good quality, but I'm slowly starting to understand the process. For this one I did 2 seperate scans of each sides: merging 2 top scans, merging 2 bottom scans, and manually alligning those 2 scans. Did some clean up, rendered a model, filled a few holes and imported it into Fusion.
Just gonna order some scanning spray and see what kind of results that will yield.
So yesterday I received the new Revopoint POP4 scanner. Lovely packed, many accessoires etc. Today tried out some scanning modes, but for now all the items I scanned are truly bad, not even close to what I am seeing on Youtube showcases. The best thing I managed to make is this scan of a Cardputer ADV. I'm completely new in this hobby, so I'm sure it's just a case of reading, watching, trying out, gaining experiences. But looking at the above result, is this about it or am I supposed to get much better results? This has been fused in RevoScan 6.2.2, point distance 0.17 and removed marker points. If this post is complete utter gibberish, let me know and I'll take it down, I don't want to give a bad rep to this product if it is just an user-error.
Edit thanks for the tips and tricks. I was already hoping it was a user error and not a waste of money from the get-go. I also learned that "use more markers" is the equivelant of "drying your filament" or "grind finer" for 3d scanning lol. I also made a 3d-marker set and slapping markers on them at the time of writing, hopefully it will increase tracking.

They always fight when only 1 is wet, but preen eachother when both are wet. I don't know why, such goobers
