Find one of the tiny circular parts in pic 2.
I cut off one of the pieces seen in pic 2 and then measured and marked my brass rod, to see where I was going to glue it, and then I couldn’t find it.

I really enjoyed this build. It was supposed to be a quick one after my previous Mig-21 but as usual, it took a while (dad to a 2 yr old and busy/stressful job) but I am pleased with this! I used Flory model wash for this, which ended up being too heavy as I applied it over semi-gloss varnish, and although I still think it looks great, I was planning on this being a cleaner plane. Anyway, I have no regrets and you live and learn in this hobby; that’s how you get good. Thanks for looking 👍
I need to repaint part of the canopy as the masking tore it off, but other than that, we’re nearly done! This was my first time using Flory model wash, and next time I’d do it over gloss, not satin, as this is more heavily weathered than I initially wanted. I’m happy with how it looks though.
Decals are coming together but they aren’t very good. I’ve had a few breakages and they seem extremely fragile, which is ironic because they also look thick. Anyway, I can’t wait to start the weathering process and make this thing look used.
Hey guys- finally finished decaling my Magic Factory 1/9 Honda Fireblade. Full disclosure: this was a pre painted model. The engineering was excellent and this was by no means a simple build. I have also built a Tamiya 1/12 Honda CB750F (which you can see pictures of if you look at my other posts) and this was 100x harder and more complex, despite being push fit and pre painted. There are certain annoying things about pre painted such as the inability to sand down seam lines without losing the paint that’s already on it, and secondly, the incredible push fit engineering is somewhat scuppered when the minuscule tolerances between parts are upset by a layer of paint. That said- it’s a great kit and if you’re wondering whether to pick up a pre painted or unpainted version of this kit- I would definitely go for either because as you can see: it looks gorgeous! 👍
