TWO Local Singles Events!

Following up on the post from a couple of weeks ago about how it's so hard to date in FoCo and the apps suck, I wanted to post these opportunities in the main feed. They were posted in the 'Monthly' thread, so you can check out links there or on Eventbrite.

The Looking Glass has a speed dating event for the ages 21-35
May 13th 6-8pm

Singles event at Grimm Brothers
Friday, May 29th

I am not associated with either of these events. And, YES....there is a cost for each one. If you're not willing to pay the organizers, you can stick to the apps.

Good luck out there!

My membership expired, and I expected that I would just be charged for the month. Instead, my account is 'on hold' which is a bit strange. I tried to buy a ticket for 'cheap Tuesday,' and received the member price but was charged ticketing fees. Odd. 🤷‍♀️

Other local movie news:

Special FREE movie Wednesday night at The Lyric! This week’s ‘Wildcard Wednesday’ film was chosen by my close friend. It’s an epic adventure story from the 60s which features amazing (for the time) special effects. Due to the nature of the screening, the film title can’t be posted on social media without getting The Lyric in trouble. If you want to dm me, I’ll tell you the title. I hope you’ll come to this free show Wednesday, April 29^(th) at 8pm.

On Thursday, The Lyric will screen “Frida” as part of their April series ‘Women Who Changed The World. “Frida” is stunning biography of artist Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek), who channeled the pain of a crippling injury and her tempestuous marriage into her work.
