i played this game for over 40 hours on my laptop, which doesn't run a lot of games, but the original ac4 surprisingly ran really well. and the os of my choice was cachyos. and then i reinstalled it, because i wanted to ditch windows for good (no longer dual boot) and start from scratch.

little did i know, ubisoft connect didn't sync ANY OF MY PROGRESS (SO MY ALMOST MAXED OUT JACKDAW, ALL FULLY EXPLORED CITIES, LOCATIONS, ALL FULLY COMPLETED NAVAL AND ASSASSIN CONTRACTS, TEMPLAR KEYS, ETC. WAS ALL GONE.)

conveniently enough, my achievements DID get saved on my ubisoft account, as shown on the pictures above

sure, i shouldn't have played on an unsupported os and expect it to work as intended, but saying that i was ALWAYS CONNECTED TO THE UBISOFT SERVERS, which is shown on the bottom left corner along with the minimap, is an outright lie. not to mention i did enter password to the ubisoft account every single time i wanted to play the game. so i was pretty much sold on the fact that they will keep my progress saved.

while the opposite is the case.

so fucking pissed bro, i hope that resynced game flops.

As you can see in the video, the debounce time is the same on both OSes, but somehow CachyOS doesn’t respect that.

What I also did is:

1. Create a udev rule (/etc/udev/rules.d/99-mchose.rules)
2. Type in this:

KERNEL=="hidraw*", ATTRS{idVendor}=="5253", ATTRS{idProduct}=="1020", MODE="0660", TAG+="uaccess"

1. After reboot Chromium finally sees my HID (because before the first 2 steps I coudn’t even connect my mouse to the web drvier), but can’t adjust my debounce time settings (although things like DPI, and button reconfig are adjustable through the web app)
