I'm about to pull the trigger (horrible pun...so sorry. It was not on purpose) on a Scorpio 3 plus micro and a PTR Vent2 can. I need at least one person here to tell me I'm not making a mistake. I've researched the hell out of this, but given my experience, once I drop the $2,600 I will discover they blow up when used together or something like that.

I need a little peer pressure here.

The Fit Fetish

*EDIT* I'm so happy I posted this, The comments are making my day.

I want to start by saying this is in no way a criticism or a calling out. I am truly trying to understand.

I am pretty new to airsoft. I've only been playing for about 6 months now, so maybe this is something that will eventually make sense to me. But for now, I have to ask.

Why are people so obsessed with their fit? Everyday theres a handful of posts of everyone decked out. Is it an extension of fantasy? I mean, we are all trying to buy into that, but does dressing the part make it more immersive?

Maybe its just something you start doing and once you go down the path, you have to keep going: like upgrading parts on a gun.

Help me understand.

Question RE HPA on the AAP-01

Afternoon Aapers.

I modded my son's aap-01 with the frewad M4 Lower and the Panther upper.

It already has an upgraded barrel and hop-up.

I want to convert it to HPA and I want to do it correctly.

My question is, do I need to upgrade the hammer set? What about the recoil and nozzle spring? My research is telling me it's a good idea but I would love to hear some first hand experience.

TIA

My first AAP-01

Well, not mine. It's my son's. But he wanted one for his birthday.

And he wanted it to be converted.

And he wanted it to be black and blue.

So I went and did this.

Special thanks to Firewad for all his fabulous work.

Suggested Conversions for the AAP-01

My son is turning 14 and wants an AAP-01 as well as a conversion kit.

What is the best kit to go for? Thank you!

Advice on Gold Camo

Does anyone have experience making a gold camo for their replica? I am thinking plasti-dip is my best path forward. Cerakote seems like overkill for an airsoft gun.

Who has advice?

Thanks

I think I'm finally done

It started off as a KWA KM4 KR12. I replaced the bucking and nub, took the barrel from a 6.05 to a 6.03, put in an m-130 spring, 18:1 gears, I had to custom design and fabricate a delayed chip. New piston and nozzle. Big ol upgrade on the motor. Added in a mosfet and redid all the wiring.

It fires at 2 joules and can hit a 4" target at fifty yards (in several tries but still)

Then I started working on the body.

It has a custom designed printed suppressor that accommodate a drop-in tracer (AT2000R).

Then I took off the stock aluminum handguard and design and print the helical handgrip to match the suppressor.

So what do I do next? Stock?

I'm completely stuck

Can anyone tell me a best practices method to make a uniformly faceted helical cylinder?

I'm sure it's super simple, but I'm self taught and an amateur.

Thank you in advance

Transporting a lot of guns

So, what's the best way you have found to get your and your mates' gear to the field?

I and my sons play often, and it's such a pain to carry all the guns and drop them into the trunk to slide all over. I have a range bag for my real guns that I could probably use, but is there something better?

I also find myself lugging around a full tool box and all sorts of accessories...never know what you'll need until you need it.

TIA

Good morning everyone,

I was hoping to find some high-end recommendations for my mate's 50th birthday. We are coming in town for the weekend and looking for outstanding spots for not only dinner but brunch as well.

Money is not so much a concern, but we would prefer not to have to bring along jackets.

TIA

I decided to use the mosquito MK1 as my very first 3D Airsoft print. After several false starts, issues with gearboxes, and all sorts of other things relating to fitment, adjustments, poor selection, and user error, I finally got the thing finished.

So what should I do next?
