Eon Kid is probably the most UNDERRATED 3DCG series I’ve ever been a fan of

For those who haven’t seen it, the series follows Marty, an 11-year old boy who stumbles across the ancient Fist of Eon, which gives him extraordinary fighting powers, transforming him into the Eon Kid. With the help of guardian robot Gaff, timid girl Ally, and annoying robotic dog Buttons, he must master his powers and defeat the evil General and his minions.

The series premiered in Korea as Iron Kid in 2006 and made its debut in North America in September 2007 on Kids’ WB. It was one of the highest-rated kids shows of the time, and ran for 26 episodes with a satisfying conclusion. It is currently streaming on Tubi.

How would DreamWorks/Aardman’s “Tortoise v. Hare” performed had it not been scrapped?

Tortoise v. Hare entered development in 1999 and was to be the second film to surface from the partnership between DreamWorks and Aardman Animations after 2000’s Chicken Run. The film, directed by Richard Starzak, would have starred Lee Evans, Bob Hoskins and Orlando Jones and cost $40 million. Disaster would soon strike as the film ran into script issues due to DW rushing the film into production. Initially planned for a summer 2003 release, the film was delayed until DW ultimately wrote it off that same year.

Had the film‘s production gone smoothly, how do you think the film would have performed both critically and financially?

Fleak (2025) is now available on select streaming platforms in the United States courtesy of Viva Kids. Attend Theatrical Marketplace was set to distribute the film theatrically this summer but for unknown reasons dropped out last-minute.

It was the last day of the re-release at my theater and BOI, just let me say, that was the greatest experience of my life. People cheered audibly as the movie started and ended, I got the audience chanting “GO!“ during the credits music, and the film itself was GLORIOUS! My dad took me to see it, and I couldn’t thank him enough. Speed Racer (2008) is not a movie. It’s a religious experience. Racing IS everything.
