25 years ago from today, the iconic and SmackDown! Fist arena made its debut on WWE television on August 16, 2001!

After Rhyno gored Y2J through the legendary SmackDown! Ovaltron stage (August 26, 1999 through August 9, 2001), the WWE introduced the iconic and legendary SmackDown! Fist arena made its debut on the following week on Thursday, August 16, 2001. This is the set where I went to my very first WWF/WWE live event on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 (originally aired SmackDown on Thursday nights on UPN) at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan when my parents took me and my young brother as kids to the WWF (WWE) live event at that time.

Also this iconic SmackDown Fist set made its WWF/WWE videogame debut in WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It as a unlockable arena. Also in the next installment in WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth; which the game released in October 31, 2002, you can also climb the SmackDown Fist stage as well.

The iconic SmackDown Fist set was used in WWE videogames from WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It (2001) all the way through until Yuke's Future Media Creators developers put that Fist stage as a playable stage selection alongside with the classic Raw arena (from the Ruthless Aggression Era) for one last time in WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw 2008 (2007) before they switched to both the SmackDown and Raw HD arenas as playable stage selection in WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw 2009 (2008).

However, on January 21, 2008, WWE removed the iconic SmackDown! Fist arena and replaced with the HD arena during that time.

I have very fond memories of this stage while I was watching WWF/WWE SmackDown on television 📺 as a child throughout my teenage years and play WWF/WWE SmackDown videogames (and WWE SmackDown Vs. Raw games) on the classic PlayStation 2 console system as well during that time. What is your favorite moments of seeing this stage?

Happy 27th anniversary of the premiere of Digimon: Digital Monsters that premiered on Fox Kids children's program block way back in the summer of 1999!

u/SadDoughnut264 — 6 days ago

I missed the days of watching Fox Kids children's program block during my childhood years (September 8, 1990 through September 7, 2002), those were the Golden Age of Saturday morning cartoons in the United States.

Even though I didn't start watching Fox Kids until the summer of 1995 when I was at the age of 4. As I remember watching the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers alongside with my young brother in the apartment at that time. It was the very first Saturday morning cartoon block that I watched when I was a toddler right next to Kids' WB! (which that program block came out a couple of months until September 9, 1995 when the Animaniacs (which originally aired on Fox Kids in the early 1990s until it moved to Kids' WB), and its my second favorite childhood Saturday morning cartoon block).

Shows that I remember watching Fox Kids during my childhood years back in the 1990s throughout the early 2000s were Bobby's World, Life with Louie, Power Rangers series (Mighty Morphin through Wild Force), Godzilla: The Animated Series, X-Men: The Animated Series, Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, Monster Rancher, Digimon: Digital Monsters (Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, and Digimon Tamers), Mummies Alive, and Woody wood Pecker.

They showcased giveaway awards, special bumpers, and more. But all good things have came to an end as Fox Kids children's program block was in its decline around 2001, while other children's program blocks and channels continues to skyrocket such as Cartoon Network, Kids' WB!, Toonami, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids during that time period. Also Saban Entertainment's library of their shows (including Digimon and Power Rangers) were sold by Walt Disney Company way back in 2001.

Then came to September 7, 2002, Fox Kids children's program block got shutdown for good and it was rebranded as Fox Box on the following week on September 14th during that year. While Power Rangers franchise series moved to ABC Kids children's program block, and Digimon moved to Disney's One Too program block on UPN until they found a brand new children's program block called, Jetix in early 2004.

While the Fox Kids children's program block is still remembered fondly as most millennials (including myself and my young brother) alongside with other Saturday morning cartoon blocks like Kids' WB, and Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC. What is your favorite childhood moments of watching this classic program block when you were a kid? I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions about this.

Does everyone remember Toonami on Kids' WB from 25 years ago way back on July 30, 2001? While the original Toonami aired on Cartoon Network during that time.

I remember from 25 years ago when I was at the age of 10 years old way back in 2001, I watched both versions of Toonami program blocks. The Cartoon Network's Toonami program block (1997-2008), and the Kids' WB! Toonami program block (2001-2002).

The host TOM didn't speak on Kids' WB's Toonami, and I definitely heard SARA's voice. Jim Cummings voiced the entire Kids' WB Toonami block and they didn't use Steve Blum's TOM voice at all. And most importantly, they aired unrelated shows like R.L. Stine's Nightmare Room, Scooby-Doo, Detention, and Generation O on Toonami alongside with Batman Beyond, and Pokémon. They've also aired a brief runs of other Japanese anime shows including Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Cardcaptors (aka Cardcaptors Sakura).

However, the block didn't last that long on Kids' WB as fans dislike of what Kids' WB had done to Toonami (due to the FCC), so they decided to remove the Toonami name from Kids' WB in June 28, 2002, and the Toonami brand originally belong back to Cartoon Network.

Does anyone remembers watching the Kids' WB's Toonami on local broadcast television station, or they haven't heard this before, or they just watched the original Toonami on Cartoon Network during that time. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions about this.

Is CyberConnect 2 done with the support of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and move on to different projects like hack series. Is there going to be a Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot (DBZ Kakarot 2) in the works?

Is it true that CyberConnect 2 really finished supporting with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for expanding more Dragon Ball storylines (OG Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z movies, and Dragon Ball GT) as DLC in the future or they going to make a sequel for Kakarot to focus on Dragon Ball Super next year in 2027? I want to hear your thoughts and opinions about this topic.

Current state of Toonami right now!

I am a little bit concerned about the Toonami program block on Adult Swim. This past Saturday (Sunday) night/morning, they have aired two new episodes of both My Adventures With Superman Season 3, and One Piece. And the rest of the shows like Blue Exorcist, IGPX, and FLCL: Alternative have reruns.

And with Paramount trying to buy and merge with Warner Bros. Discovery. How does that effect Adult Swim and Toonami? With a great recession is in currently right now, I don't think that Toonami is not going to last that long if they not gaining viewers, low budget, and the streaming services keeps getting new and retro Japanese anime shows that Toonami trying to get to broadcast on Adult Swim...I don't see that happening. As of right now, Toonami is going to continue with the originals to keep the program block alive.

What do you think about the current state of Toonami? Will it survive as years to come or will the program block get canceled for the second time? I like to hear your thoughts and opinions about this topic.

Slowly, but it's getting there to be like Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking! games. They just need more maps/stages, more costumes, and more characters to fill in. So far, we got Mission 100, we got Survival mode, and now we're getting Limit-Breaking Journey mode. Is there anything missing from this game?

Slowly, but it's getting there to be like the previous Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking videogames. We are going to get 34 playable characters (Super Limit-Breaking Neo DLC) that add up around 234 playable characters in the roster, we're going to get over 20 costumes, new Ultimate attacks, Boost system (maximum your melee and use Ultimate finishing moves to gain more damage to your opponents), Chain Blast (Chain ki), and etc.

Is there anything missing from this game that Spike Chunsoft didn't bring any feature(s) back from the previous Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking titles or they can add it in (like more destructible environments, giant crater (like in Ultimate Tenkaichi/Ultimate Blast), or letting our opponent get crash into a wall or a boulder during the gameplay (from the Raging Blast series)?

Let me know what kind of features, more offline modes, or any other tweaks that this videogame needs to stay alive and continue to support as long as possible in the future.

It's the 25th anniversary of Digimon Tamers (2001-2026)! Even though I got the Flatiron Company's version of Digimon Tamers, and not the Blu-Ray set as of yet. Which it came out next month on August 2026 by Discotek Media.

I got a quick question, is the False Super Saiyan Goku is exclusively for Goku (Z; Early) or Goku (Z; Mid)?

We saw many Super Saiyan transformations of the Saiyans in Dragon Ball videogames for so many years. But for the first time ever in Dragon Ball videogame history (and Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking! videogame history), we are going to get a False Super Saiyan (FSSJ) as a power up for Goku in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, and I am happy about that.

My only question is...who is that False Super Saiyan power up belong to? Which version of Goku from Dragon Ball Z has that power up? Is it Goku (Z; Early) or is it Goku (Z; Mid)?

I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions about this topic.

I have a question about the recent news about Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot (aka Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 2) from the Japan Expo on the other day in this month of July.

On Twitter/X in the Veniyx account, someone asked to the CyberConnect 2 CEO, Hiroshi Matsuyama about the sequel of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, about heavily focusing on the Super era (which I would love to see it on game form). He didn't say no about the sequel...so that's possibly for them to do it in the future.

But if they decide to do the sequel for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot focusing on Dragon Ball Super. What are they going to do with the original Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot? Are they going to continue to support the game by releasing more Dragon Ball storylines (OG Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z movies, and Dragon Ball GT) as DLC in the future? Or are they going to stop the production and working on the sequel?

I would like your opinion about this topic about whether they stop working with the original Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and continue to work with the sequel or do both?
