Howdy yall! I'm a transfer student that got accepted to TAMU! I looked at my acceptance letter and I saw that it didn't mention anything about scholarships. Does this mean that I didnt get any, or will I have to wait later to see how much I got?
got my howdy update on Friday. still haven’t heard anything back yet from ais
Howdy yall, I currently got accepted into the Mays Business School as a freshman transfer. I am kind of lost on whether I should come to Texas A&M. For context, at my current school (smaller compared to A&M), I have secured leadership positions at my clubs for the next upcoming school year. If I were to come here, I would have to restart everything from making friends, building connections, and getting leadership positions here at TAMU (which will prob be way harder due to the enrollment amount at this college). In the end, I'm just trying to get a job when I graduate, and I was wondering how good does TAMU help with that? If there are any past transfer or anyone in general who could offer me advice on their past experiences that are similar to mine, I would greatly appreciate it.
hi, i recently got admitted into mays as a transfer. i saw that my program is Business Administration(Lower). does this mean i will have to choose an actual major i want to do? for specific, i want to do finance. and when do i choose that major? at nsc?
hi is this normal to have a green check mark for final transcripts received in additional documents but not an audit yet? thanks
Hi I’m going to be traveling out of Las Vegas airport but I have a clear care solution for my contacts that is 3 fl oz. it does prob carry some hydrogen peroxide but I was wondering if I can still bring it for medical reasons
Hi I know this is probably the millionth time people have asked about this, but I want to make sure that everything is fine on my end. I went to the received documents tab and it says TAMU have got my transcript from my school. However, in the additional documents if admitted, it says that the final transcript from my school is still marked as red X. TAMU says it received my document on 5/21, and I was wondering if it will update to a yellow caution sign sooner or later and if I'm all good on my end
i will be out of country for a bit and want to go on a college tour before i make my decision. does anyone know the deadline?
on the ais, it says tamu received my document for my spring transcript but the red x is not updating to like a yellow caution sign. I tried calling admissions but the call takes like forever to reach someone. transfer applicant. is this normal? thanks!
Hi, I will be earning 3k this summer and I need to budget on how I should spend my money. For context, I am a college student with no debt, no rent(live with my parents), and no liabilities. My main areas of focus of putting this money to use are investments, food income for the next year of my college. I'm on a meal plan that my parents paid but the meal plan expects you to have another source of food supply. The meal plan is essentially 50 meal swipes for a whole semester and $500 meal credit a semester to use at retail locations on campus. I was thinking putting about a grand into my brokerage account and 1.5k into grocery for the whole academic year(Aug-May). My questions are if this is a good plan that I should do and what I should do with the remaining 500 bucks left in my pocket. My only thinking is a saving account.
My intern start date is coming up and they told me to wear business casual on the weekdays. However, I was wondering if I should overdress to impress the people working there like im talking a suit and tie(business formal). If I should, do i just do this on the first day and then stop and wear business casual on the second day?
When you get an interview, what is the typical research amount you would expect to do? I know you got to know their mission and values, but aside from that what else? News on their company, financials, who their CEO is? Also, how can you sound passionate in their company. Sometimes when I apply, I sometimes don't look at their company and what they do, but rather just look at the role and if it matches, I apply.
Is this a good program to do? How competitive is it and would it look good on resumes?
When people mass apply to internships, and say if a company you applied for gives you a call out of nowhere saying they are blah blah blah, do you have a few minutes? How can you remember what their mission is, what they do, values, etc if you applied to over 200+ applications? Is the best way to handle this is to tell the recruiter that I will call you back at a later time? That way you can do research about the company?
Hello! I paid by apple pay and got food from a place and the driver did not drop off the drink. I asked doordash for a refund and they said they will give it me by apple pay. How does this work?
I'm currently a freshman at uni and got into a program at a large financial company. However, their program is where I don't intern for their company but at a smaller company they collab with. This program that the large financial company does is just a summit and then we are dispersed around the US to intern a smaller company for the summer. At the smaller company, I'm a finance intern. My question is for the position title, should I say "Finance intern" at the smaller company?(giving up company name prestige) Or should I rather put a different title that doesn't say finance intern(i will prob put something along like program participant), but I can put the prestigious finance company to compensate for it?
I'm going to take this class next semester and I haven't taken any of the previous lower level OPRE classes. Is the content still manageable to get an A if I'm new?
