Looking for recommendations in the center city area

I know y’all probably get lots of requests like this, so I’ll try to be specific as possible.

I’m not from the area (if that wasn’t obvious, lol), but I will be visiting at some point soon. I will mainly be sticking to the center city area while in the city, so I’m primarily looking for anything there. I won’t be in the area long, but since it’ll be my first time visiting, I thought I’d try some local food, I’ll only have time for one lunch and one dinner in the city though. I’m especially interested in philly food (particularly cheesesteaks) and chinese cuisine, but as long as it’s not on the particularly fancy/expensive side, I’m up for anything if y’all think it’s worth checking out! I know very little about the food scene in the city since I’ve never visited, so don’t worry about giving answers that might seem obvious.

Caledonia State Park, Pennsylvania

Lovely park in the woods with ample wildlife opportunities and a connection to the Appalachian Trail. I even got to see a Queen Snake!

EDIT: Why are there so many extremely generic comments from brand new accounts? Are these bots?

Visiting from out of town

Hello people of York! I’ll be visiting from out of town in August, and was wondering if y’all had any suggestions of places I should check out. I’ll be staying in Gettysburg for a couple days and thought I’d check out Harrisburg and York while in the area. Any suggestions are welcome, as I couldn’t find much on Google (apart from the colonial complex which I’m definitely interested in).

Just finished Dark Disciple

Just finished Dark Disciple, my first ever Star Wars book, and I’m quite pleased! I’m curious as to everyone’s thoughts and opinions on this one, as it’s over a decade old now. How do you regard it with the resurrection of Asajj in more recent stories? And do you think we’ll ever get a continuation of Quinlan Vos’s arc?

Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station, Rodanthe, NC

Got to visit this beautiful victorian landmark recently! I am honestly astounded at how ornate it is for a building not many were supposed to see. Dating back to 1874, this life-saving station is a premier example of stick style, which was a transitional architectural style between the Carpenter Gothic architecture of the mid 19th century and the more famous Queen Anne style of the 1890’s. This building has been recently renovated (at least partially) and is well worth a visit if you’re ever in the area!

Jockey’s Ridge State Park, North Carolina

Beautiful park in the outer banks of North Carolina, featuring excellent views of the dunes and sound. I also loved seeing little robber flies flying around and hunting other bugs.

Best options for Sichuan-style chinese food in the RVA area?

Title says it all, just looking for any of y’all’s recommendations! I’m originally from the Raleigh area and love our selection of chinese restaurants, and was wondering where to find them here as well.

Merchants Millpond State Park, North Carolina

A beautiful hike through the marsh, with opportunities to view wildlife at every corner! The trails are extensive as well, which gives a reason to visit multiple times. Loved this park!

Beautiful coastal park featuring easy-going, well-marked trails, river views, and an endless array of awesome plant-life (including venus flytraps!). One of my favorite state parks in North Carolina for a reason :)
