So I posted before that I was going to read this book and I’ve started and think I’m going to drop it already lmao. I’m pretty sure the characters are adults but the dialogue is giving Highschool 😬. Also Simon is reminding me of Alex from Red White and Royal blue and he absolutely ANNOYED me. I’m not really into the snarky sassy character archetype

I’ve read a handful of contemporary romance books that were 400+ pages when it absolutely didn’t need to be. Red White & Royal blue for example it was so unnecessary. Imagine if a rom-com was three hours long lol

I’m probably beating a dead horse with this topic but idc this issue is getting worse and worse by the day ! Authors use smut as a substitute for romantic development and it’s so annoying. What happened to genuine yearning ? What happened to dates and porch kisses ? What happened to talking on the phone at night authors don’t know how to write stuff like that anymore smh

And what irritates me the most in these smut filled books is that the characters act like animals in heat. You can be attracted to someone but can still say “ no “ characters act like they have no autonomy once they get horny and I can’t stand it lol it would be nice to see more Jane eyre-esque characters for those who read the book you know what I’m talking about

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind smut here and there especially because I read books with adult characters but romance should be the priority. I shouldn’t finish the book unconvinced that characters actually love each other lol

I’ll start ! Haru from my little monster…….I’ve always thought it would’ve been better if Haru had gotten therapy or some kind of help. I liked the Blonde guy better for Shizuki I hope to see one brave author out there that will take the risk and pair the main girl with the 2nd lead one day 😭

……So this is actually a really good show lmao. I thought it would be a unserious anime but they really put their all into the VAs, Animation, Plot etc.. and there is comedy in it like I first assumed and it’s actually making me laugh. I love how expressive all the characters are !

Has anybody seen this anime ? I watched season 1 awhile ago but I dropped afterwards because I didn’t like the way the plot was going and it sucks because I was so excited during the first half of it.

I really liked how the MC was technically the “ Villain “ of the story but then towards the end of the season he was beginning to turn “ good “ and began to see how flawed his own organization was and I absolutely hated that. If it was up to me he would’ve stayed the villain and remained loyal to his crew and vice versa so that they could take over the world lol

Also he’s a shapeshifter and I hated how he began to stay in the image of another person. It was for the plot but I thought it was going to be a one time thing and then it wasn’t 😔. Maybe he goes back to his og form in season 2 but I wouldn’t know cause I didn’t watch it.

I know as you get older you lose interest in things you might have loved as a kid. For example, I used to listen to K-pop everyday, and now I don’t listen to it at all lol. And it’s kinda hitting me with Anime. Don’t get me wrong I still like it but I’m just not as interested as I once was. I used to really like everything I watched but now I’ll have 2-3 shows I think are just “ ok ” and then find something I truly love once in blue moon

For example, I LOVE Frieren, Skip and Loafer and Gachiakuta. I watched other stuff in between and as decent as they were they didn’t invoke the same feelings. It could just be my choices idk. It’s so saddening cause none of these shows have that many episodes 😭

Don’t hate me guys but sometimes I feel like the old gen > new gen. I acknowledge that they need time to build up and have ARCS like their predecessors. Tbh I think AOT and Tokyo Ghoul were the most unique ( to me at least 😅 ) mangas to come out after the big 3 battle anime-wise

The other characters keeping bringing up Andraste and The Maker but my character is a Dalish Elf so I always pick the dialogue option that makes it known ! They have their own gods ! I think this is such a good game because it reminds me of a lot of things that happened or is happening in real life. Like I vaguely remember Mother Gisselle mentioning a crusade and that’s why all of Thedas believe in The maker

Finished playing for the night and here are my last minute thoughts. Vivienne talks about mages like they are wild animals and not people lol. It’s really interesting because she speaks as though she’s not the same as them. She wants circles back but I highly doubt she would go back to one herself. It’s always “ they “ never “ we “. Very interesting indeed.

They talk about Alienages like internment camps is that an accurate comparison ? Can the Elves live in the city without living in there ?

Admittedly I don’t 100% understand what the deal is with mages and templars considering DAI is the first game I’m playing out of all of them but I Just talked to Vivienne about mages and as someone playing as an Dalish Elven Mage I found her opinions very interesting……….there is so much oppression in this game 😅

They are so so so ugly.I don’t think the creators tried at all and I’m a console player before anyone suggests mods. To clarify I’m playing DAI 😭

Just got to the Blackwall reveal and I’m astounded ! I’ve been deceived ! I was romancing him so hard ! everything was a LIE 😭💔. I’m not trying to be dramatic but this highkey just ruined my playthrough l’ve only been playing for two weeks but still 🫩

So I finished Sera’s personal mission and um I don’t think I’m too fond of her lol. I don’t dislike her per se but her personality and attitude sure is different from my favorite girls Josephine, Cassandra and Leliana they take this inquisition shit SERIOUS ! meanwhile sera……..

If you’ve seen my post before you know I chose Blackwell for my romance option but I have to try my best to resist Cullen when I talk to him 😭. They lowkey have similar vibes with the whole soldier first mindset. Its like choosing between cake and ice cream sometimes you want BOTH

I really liked how Gintoki was a full grown adult and how half the conflict he dealt with stemmed from things that happened in his past before he met any of the side characters ( kinda like spike spiegel now that I’m thinking about it ). Somewhere along time ago I read a comment that said Gintama is like the story of an MC after his story is over and I think that’s so true cause everything he went through in life leading up to the first episode could’ve been made into its own separate anime

I’m sorry as first time player I had to go on google to finish this mission lmao. I quit trying to complete it on my own after entering the servants quarters and dealing with all that bs 🫩

Talking to Dorian about slavery in his country and his opinion on it is very…………….interesting lmao
